  1. Well, when i saw the 15 lvl capped chars in wow, i giggled a bit tbh. And i understand why you have a problem with leveling in this game. Let me ask you, when did you start playing wow, and how long have you been level capped? I've played wow for years, started a little bit before the Burning Crusade, and quit halfway MoP. Why did I quit? because the game became too easy, you could level a character in no time just by queueing up and no-braining through dungeons, pull smash smash dungeon done.. so yes, this game makes you use a slightly bigger portion of the brain, use your skills properly and heal once in a while. Which 'used' to be the case in wow too, so that explains my question 'when did you start playing wow' As to this game, leveling isn't hard at all, and if you are getting slammed by mobs or have a problem leveling, there's probably a good reason to it.. Gear not up to date (yours as well as your companions), you skipped too much content and are under the planets target level, you aren't using your arsenal of spells (read interrupt and stun) and are just using a basic attack, ... Now, tbh, the tactic i was talking about in wow, with the dungeons, guess what, this game has it too. I would suggest queueing for the Kuat Tactical once you get lvl 15, do a couple and go back to the planet, hell, you can lvl all the way with Kuat, and it's not even hard (do i dare to say it's faster then doing quests?). If you had been new to MMO's I'd say give it some time and get to know the game a bit, how your spells work, etc, but seeing you aren't new to MMO's at all, these things i summed up are just the usual stuff right? nothing different to wow (or is it, since wow is so easy nowadays everything is given to you on a platter) (And just to prevent misunderstandings, i don't have a problem with wow at all, i loved playing it and i still cherish good memories i had over there.)
  2. If your computer was built a month ago, i could question your pc building skills, i'm running on a 5 year old pc and play on max settings without stutter.
  3. Ifrica

    I'm baaaack

other then the slot machine stuff, there's also drama conderning slicing
  4. some bosses will have mechanics that prevent you from solo'ing, puzzle pillars in EV come to mind. but i guess 2 man can do it, though i'm not sure how the council would work, as you can only hit 1 target per player..
  5. Could have been possible though, making ferrari with lawnmower parts, lamborgini finds its origin in tractors
  6. I'm not entirely sure, but isn't the datacron master a meta achiev? i haven't found it in the achiev list, but read on a website (think it was swtor-spy) that you get it when you got the datacron exploration achievs of all planets.
  7. well, if you had read what i was actually saying, the 'why' performance in 16 man ops and warzones 'could' be there, it has everything to do with 'our' systems (and yes i'm generalizing about the systems). Now i was not saying that we have bad computers, i was 'trying' to explain why this issue could be there, as what another games tech support told me, which is also applicable to our game over here. small enviroment, lots of textures to load, stressing system (there i summed it up for you). Other issue could also be the engine, i won't deny that, but if tech support of a 10 year old game that has similar issues (people who know it will agree on the Dalaran issue) give that explenation, i'm willing to accept that explenation, as even the most powerfull computers couldn't handle 'Dalaran'. edit, also see Korevas his reply above, concerning the CPU, which is correct
  8. I stumbled onto that project a while ago too, looked promising. Do they already have a launch date or something?
  9. Do you have the same issues when doing 16 man raids? Then i can kind off guess what a part of the cause is (something i had in WoW too during WotLK). Back then Blizzard came back to me that the performance issues were cause by so many players in a small enviroment, stressing your system because of all the different player textures being loaded. I can assume that swtor has that same issue in those circumstances, maybe even worse as swtor has a broader range of character customisation then wow at that point (no transmogging yet), having 16 players together with all different gearsets, that all have to be loaded apparently stresses your system (based on what Blizzard said back in the day). and a superb combo of gpu isn't going to solve this. That being said, it's a local issue, but i wouldn't know what you can do about it. (out of curiosity, what kind of ram do you have?)
  10. Running dual card is pure overkill for this game imo, i would suggest looking into your system configuration and find the bottleneck, since i have a far worse setup and get more fps then you, something must be wrong in your config.. Not saying you have a bad system, just that something is probably bottlenecking your performance, could be a compatibility issue, for example gpu upgrade on older motherboard or something? I was talking to someone on Yavin the other day who had a similar issue, until he replaced his 5 year old motherboard, he had (in those 5 years) upgraded ram/gpu etc, but he wasn't getting a performance upgrade, mobo upgrade solved the issue. Something else to keep in mind is that these kind of games aren't gpu dpeendant, they are CPU heavy, so that's also something you might want to look at.
  11. There's more then only slicing nodes on Yavin, selling basic mats on GTN does give some extra credits too, i sell crystals/metals in stacks on GTn and they are basicly free credits, as you don't pay to collect them on Yavin.
  12. The Yavin dailies take as long as the Section X dailies, daily zones are supposed to be a timesink, but to say they take too long, not really.. And While i agree that they don't give enough credits (lvl 50 dailies give more), theer's plenty extra stuff on Yavin that can up your creditgain, just slicing or gathering resources which are available abundantly on Yavin easily makes you gain more money then in other daily wones.
  13. This is the best way imo, while old heroics and running of dailies do grant a fair amount of credits, slicing on yavin is just unbelievable, if you're lucky you can make 500k+ per hour, and they keep spawning
  14. The downside of the 192 companion gear is that you can't augment them. So if you want to put your old augments on your compamions like i did in the past, your better off with commgear, as some said above it's better in stats most of the time anyways
  15. Well, for me even the daily ones are unavailable..
