  1. 1) KEEP Kolto Bomb as a baseline talent. This is a nice little bit of utility to give to a class that really doesn't have much. If not, move it to the utilities, do not make it a healing spec only thing. 2) Make Advanced Medical Probe instant for the DPS specs. It's pretty much needed for survivability in PVP. I know there's the proc-able thing in Gunnery but, no. 3) BRING BACK the Stockstrike knockback. The root is inferior in every possible way. The KB gave us SOME melee formidability especially on maps with cliffs. 4) Why is our Cryo STILL at 10m? You never explained why ours dropped to 10m and the gunslinger stun was both AoE and 30/35m. 5) Interrupt Immunity with HtL. Should have always been there. Do NOT tie it to the long *** CD of Reactive Shield. Literally every other casting class has a way to talent into a much much shorter CD on interrupt immunity. 6) I really like the drone idea someone else mentioned. Maybe it needs to be toned down a little, but it makes sense for the class, especially the way calling the healing probes was highlighted as early as 7) Escape - HtL is not an effective escape. Maybe something where we have to target the ground with a reticle and then click out to sayy 20m or so. LIke setting a mortar volley. This would make it more cumbersome than what other classes have while also giving it the unique ability to be 'aimed'. 8) A Quality of Life thing - It'd be nice if the animation for Trauma Probe which shows up on LOW graphics woudl show up on higher settings as well.
  2. Have the PVP class balance people managed to explain why Cryo (A longer CD single target stun) has a 10m range while Flash Grenade (an AoE, LONGER stun) is still 30m? Is it because they still haven't found the professionalism to stop playing favorites? Here's my changes: 1) MAKE FULL AUTO UNINTERRUPTIBLE WHEN CoF procs. We are the ONLY channel class that doesn't get an uninterruptable channel at this point. 2) Make HtL give resistance to interrupt AND stuns. 3) Make FA give back 8 energy (or 4, or something) on a CoF crit hit. 4) GIve me back my damn SS knockback. 5) Make Advance Medical Probe instant But just making HtL provide interrupt resistance would be plenty.

I'm just wondering why they went out of their way to nerf VG hybrid in a 'non class balance' patch even though they were underperforming even with their hybrid, but left the GS hybrid, which as has been documented is totally out of control alone, both that time and then again with their 'class balance' patch. For the record I've never really DPSed on my VG, and I have a 55 gunslinger I run in ops.
  4. Good to see they're doing nothing about the RNG issues with CoF. Or healt/ammo mgmt in general.
  5. Here's what I know: Everytime BI hits for the same as my freaking KB does, a part of me dies inside. Our healing is still far outpaced by the other two. Although at least I consier it playable by a beginner now (like myself)
  6. I definitely think most of the disturbance in the force is due to server-side processing issues. No way to back that up, just have noted that the issues correlate with the number of toons/amount of crap going on in a given scenario. i.e. dailies with planetary pop of 12 is just fine, and TfB 16man Op IX is a disaster.
  7. Using hammer shot less than ever now. really loving the regen change. HOnestly I predict that once I move to the new 4 piece I'll be using HS about as much as my early days in high alacrity build.
  8. Being one of the main raiders in a guild has its upside. I'm overflowing in gear currently and by this weekend should have enough to test out some different configurations. Not surprised that some people are finding SOME crit worth it. As I said, I suspect that the unfactored in surge bonus shifted the curve. Arch, I get that most classes get a talent like that, but i'm talking about the raw math btwn power and crit.

I haven't been able to accumulate enough gear to really start playing around yet, nor have I had the time to start number crunching this stuff, but I am up to date on the work of Keyboard Ninja, Kitru, et al. A lot of people are saying no crit at all now but I'm not sure if I fully buy into this. As I've mentioned before, we DEPEND on crit structurally due to the surge bonus of two of our most important abilities (Full Auto and Demolition Round). This HAS to affect the equation somewhat as we get slightly more out of crit than a class wtih no surge bonus. Off the top of my head, about 50% of my dmg comes from these two abiltiies. a 30% increase in surge, on 50% of our abilites makes crit worth about 15% more than the baseline DR curve would suggest. Again, I haven't done the number crunching to see if this pushes crit ahead of power for part of the DR curve or not, but it could certainly influence it. My gut says we should take at least some crit, but again not sure. The other complicating factor here is the amount of surge we end up carrying on our gear. Obviously the more surge we carry, the more helpful crit will be. The surge/alacrity/accuracy debate is largely unsettled but if we do end up stacking surge, that would shift the crit curve even more. Wanted to check in with others and see their thoughts.
  10. My van and my commando used to be neck and neck DPS-wise, not so much anymore. The Devs won't respond, though. That's not how they roll. Van is going back to dedicated tank. On the other hand, a scoundrel in my guild just DPSed in TfB and was 2nd in our group. Very cool to see some classes get love.
  11. Just wanted to point out something about stockstrike/HiB. While it's true that high impact bolt can activate with any dot or debuff even if it's not yours, you do lose out on the 'smart AoE' effect. of the HiB. This is fairly trivial in my experience given the massive amounts of AoE abilities at our disposal, but still worth noting. Haven't tanked at 55 yet but have healed and DPSed quite a bit. Tanks are definitely having threat issues on trash and initial pull but it isn't unmanageable at this point. What's been the most unsettling has been the massive amounts of healer aggro. If I'm not careful (as a healer) I can wipe the group. It's really pretty absurd.
  12. I was able to heal through in my DPS gear (pretty darn good DPS gear) as a commando with a bare minimum of healing experience (like count on fingers). It was difficult, there were a few deaths due to Leroying mostly. One boss death. TBH if I was on a sage or scoundrel i doubt there would have even been those deaths. That said, the tank was being eaten alive and dps peels were absolute hell. Now, even with a couple of 66/69 pieces, it's not too bad. No facerolling anymore, but then again, nothign wrong with that. I could run HM FPs all night long back before I was full 61 and auged cuz they were in fact fun and somewhat challenging.

  14. David's a new name to me, so I'll give him basic courtesy and maybe even post up some data if I bother to WZ before this gets fixed. But there are others who simply have no credibility left.
