  1. Originating server: The Harbinger -Destination Server: Master Dar'Nala -Name of Characters: Anthya, Fenix, Odo -Specific Issues: The page loads, but I can't choose anything. The server/character tabs are completely empty and greyed out, as is the Request Transfer button. This happens across Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
  2. Until a few days ago, I would've said yes, unequivocally. Now, I've cancelled my sub. It's not that the game is bad and it's not that the content coming with 1.2 is bad or anything like that.. I just don't feel the game like I used to. It doesn't have anything to hold me outside of class stories - because frankly, in my opinion, other games do gameplay elements better. TOR wins the story game, there's no doubt about it. Just doesn't hold me in other aspects.
  3. Case in point. On my 'Full' population WoW server, there are currently 311 people in Stormwind. This is on one of the highest populated oceanic servers @ 6pm. On my 'Heavy' oceanic TOR PvP server, there are currently 192 people online on the fleet. Going by these numbers, TOR obviously has 2/3rds of the population of WoW. RIGHT?! Here's an idea - judging a servers population by the population in any one area at any one point of time is a fool's errand. I'm not judging one way or another what TOR's server populations are across the board - or how TOR's subscriptions are going. But I do judge peoples methods of determining server population.
  4. From the amount of people that say they're gonna unsub, TOR should have no players at all. Forum ************ means very little.
  5. 4 bosses in Explosive Conflict/1.2 constitutes half of Tier 2. Just like Eternity Vault is half of Tier 1, and Karagga's Palace (which was fully implemented in 1.1) is the other half. 1.3 (which will be not too long after 1.2) contains the other half of Tier 2. Explosive Conflict will not give you your full Black Hole set, just like Eternity Vault didn't give you your full Rakata set. You'll see the same thing with Tier 3 in 1.4 and 1.5 #FirstWorldProblems
  6. Only thing I've taken out of this thread is that people think WoW has 550 servers for 10.1 million people. News flash: Half of WoW's population is in Taiwan and China. WoW has 243~ US + 248~ EU servers to accommodate ~5 million US/EU players. Sure, TOR has a few too many servers - but it's not some stupidly high amount of wasted servers if one wants to purely compare to WoW. Just like WoW, TOR could do with a few servers merging. But not some stupidly exaggerated amount like half. You want nonfunctional servers during peak time? Jesus.
  7. Somewhat irrelevant anyway, as there's no tangible reward for you inviting a friend. They can just go pick up the game the same as you did.
  8. Wow, you did it again. Well done sir, I tip my hat off to you.
  9. The typical MMO forum-goer really does have a talent for hyperbole.
  10. What I find hilarious is the people who claim WoW was so hugely popular because of its LFG/LFD tool. Does noone realise that the majority of WoW's growth occurred pre-WOTLK? WoW hit 11.5 million subscribers just after the release of WOTLK (see: http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/52065) and hit 11 million just before the release of WOTLK (see: http://techcrunch.com/2008/10/29/world-of-warcraft-hits-11-million-subscribers-mark-shows-signs-of-slowing/). The LFD tool was implemented in Patch 3.3.0 on Dec 8, 2009. So the majority of WoW's popularity had NOTHING TO DO with the LFD tool. You can't claim that a 'AAA' MMO needs these features to be successful and then cite WoW as an example. It's just a straight out logical fallacy.
  11. The latest PTS post makes me think that we won't see 1.2 before end of next week earliest :S
