  1. did you happen to get a new helmet? Putting on a facemask or a full-face helmet can change how your character sounds. Just in case it's something easily fixed...
  2. Happy Holidays! (and good luck!) http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/d7xlw
  3. You can have up to 6 quickbars enabled. You need to go into the Interface Editor and enable the extra quickbars and then apply the new UI for them to show up.
  4. How adventurous are you? There is a "client_settings.ini" file in your AppData\Local|SWTOR\swtor\settings folder. If you delete it, that should let the game startup in its default state. Alternatively, you can edit the file and enter the correct settings. You can look for the Height and Width settings. Also check the NativeHeight and NativeWidth settings to make sure they are appropriate for your computer (or the same as the height/width).
  5. My only loss to Vaylin was when I got into range of her knockback ability and she tossed me off the platform. So my advice is to keep away from the edge and keep your back toward something that will stop you from flying off into space.
  6. I'm not sure if this helps, but I noticed that one item I bought from the CM and claimed (but never opened) was ONLY visible to the character that actually claimed it. I kind of panicked when I couldn't find it on any of my characters until I logged back onto that one toon. That'll teach me to claim an item and then not play the game for a couple of weeks. Maybe you'll find it if you look on your different characters.
  7. If your goal is to level through the story fast, then just do the story missions on each planet and then move on to the next planet. Using XP boosts and XP gear if you have it, you should easily keep yourself leveling along with the content, if not keep yourself level capped for the worlds you're questing on. If your goal is to get to max level as fast as possible, then do the story missions on every planet so you can unlock the next planet and move on. And also, check the Exploration Quests to see if they're appropriate for your level. If they're yellow or orange, do them for the extra XP. If they're green or gray, probably skip them because they'd take more time to do than the XP reward is worth.
  8. It seems like nearly all of my crates have 3 items. I get an orange item, a companion gift and a piece of green junk. And one time, I got a purple crafting recipe (dualsaber artifice plan) that was legacy bound.
  9. While I did enjoy the stories of KoTFE and KoTET, I also really miss my characters each having their own special stories. I kind of hate it when all of my characters are forced to play through the same stories. Especially when that same story applies to both factions.
  10. I think you're overlooking the fact that X is actually "toggle throttle" not "zero throttle." At least that's the default, iirc.
  11. This thread is not entertaining, therefore it is nothing. Just like 99.999999999% of what the OP posts. Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along...
  12. This was covered in "The History of the World, Part 1." They shove a living snake up your ... Oh, that was ancient Rome... NVM.
  13. The current XP gain per GS mission has been toned down from what it was, but you can still level moderately fast. I started a level 1 character on the PTS, and I'm still leveling well. I don't remember exactly, but my experience has been something like: 2 GS missions to reach level 2, 3 GS missions to reach level 3, 5 GS missions to reach level 4. The XP you gain depends on whether you win or lose, so that will also factor in. And the percentage of XP per GS mission compared to the XP required to level drops as you level up, making it take longer. This is obvious, but what's not obvious yet is exactly what the relationship is and whether there will come a point where the initial "this is a great way to level up fast" idea will turn into a "this is a ridiculously slow way to earn XP." And I can't test any of the inbetween levels on the PTS because my characters are either at 55 or I'd have to create level 1 toons. I can tell you that the XP you earn at 55 doesn't help you level up at all, in cast you were wondering.
  14. I think you should load up the PTS and take a look at the new space content. You might be surprised at how enjoyable the PvP is, because it doesn't feel like the standard ground PvP at all. There are a lot of people who say that they don't like PvP that are enjoying GS. You might too. And if you don't like it, you'll also see how making PvE versions of the maps isn't really feasible.
