Hey Trixx, discord link still broken.

Coming from someone who plays DM and SF all the time and ONLY pvp I can definitely say you are not exactly correct. DM has slowed over the last 6 months for some reason I am not sure why. But level 80 pvp pops from 6am est until about 9pm est. It pops well outside of prime time. And lowbie pvp on DM is sparactic but it definitely is not nonexistent. I would say lowbie is more prime time. Now SF is another story all on its own. Level 80 pvp is 24/7 with insta pops for about 8 hours a day during prime. Lowbie pvp on SF is pretty frequent but not constant like 80s are. SV is a complete ZERO. It does not pop. It is dead 24/7 and there is nothing in any direction. It is a waste of time for anyone into pvp or gsf. You might as well remove it from that server completely.

I gave up the fight. I moved 16 level 80 alts there on day 1 of transfers opening. GSF = dead, PVP = dead, and I mean dead in all 3 tiers. I have been queued for hours and hours on all 3 tiers during peak times and it is dead. All you have to do is /who. In the search bar put either 80 or 10-44 or 45-79 and it will show you the number of players online and where in the game they are. You will never see many people online and NEVER located in a pvp or gsf instance. You can sit in queue for an entire day of playing and never get one pvp or gsf queue to pop. I am done wasting time there. I gave it a try. I'm all set with it. Even if it picks up, it will not be even remotely close to what I have on Star forge or Darth Malgus. It would have to increase so much to even come close to either one of those servers I don't see it happening. In fact my /who searches as of lately are showing an actual drop in number that I was getting only a week or two ago. The server is dead and dying, not growing. Very sad because I believe it is and was due to a botched launch approach. It should have launched with free transfers for everyone f2p, proffered, and subs with NO restrictions and no transfer limit for 90 days. The way it was launched sucked all the air out of the room. The energy is gone and it wont come back. You only have one chance at a grand opening in a game this old and the way this server was launched the grand was not so grand. It flopped. If anything else I hope the team learned the mistake of opening a new region should never be done with limitations or restrictions of any kind. If this game had a sub base like WoW then you can play with it and see what happens. But we have a small base to work with and it was predictable what the sad outcome would be. And here we are.

Honestly, they did you a favor. I moved 16 level 80 alts there first day transfers opened. The server is completely dead. I had hopes of running the pvp season and the galactic season there. It is absolutly impossible. Pvp queues are non exsistant at any level 10-44 45-79 or level 80 are all flat dead and do not happen. Also for instance 2 of the galactic season quests were GSF this week and there is zero chance of GSF popping. The server is an impossible arena to play in unless you are playing it as a single player story game. And then when you are one of those types of player do not expect to find many items on the GTN. The GTN is about 5% of what a server like Star Forge has. And I am being nice even giving it 5%. The server is a waste. Thankfully all 16 toons I moved there were alts I normally do not log into. I will not be logging back into Vizla. When I log into it to check using the /who option to see the number of players in each level bracket, it keeps going down. The server is unplayable for a person like me with my play style.

That is fine with me. I hope Broadsword gives us free transfers off when they realize Shae Vizla is a dead horse. I have 25 toons on an absolutely empty server. It is absolutly impossible to even try to progress on the PVP season. Just do a simple /who and view 10-79 and you will not see even one instance of PVP. I queue for hours while I quest with zero pops. /who 80 yields same exact results.

I will let the screen shots speak for themselves. These were taken at 3/31/2024 3:30 PM EST. I hope bioware will consider giving us free transfers off of this server when they admit it has failed.

People should be able to express themselves. I quit when I want and sub when I want. But if people are upset and un subbing they should be able to express it without being squelched by the powers to be. Try that trick on google reviews and see what happens. Criticize something you are un happy with. Everyone does it in 2024. Broadsword just does not like it just like most people getting criticized. That is why the topic got nuked. Because they can.

You are wayyyyyyyy over playing this "the sky is falling, everyone will immediatly unsub" thing. I have been thru many server mergers and if anything the populations grow as soon as it happens. I have never experienced what you are saying in any game I have ever played that merged servers. Actually I experienced the exact opposite including right here in swtor. I know you personally do not want to merge servers, but just because you do not, please refrain from the sky is falling and the end of the world is here comments. If they merge the NA servers and EU servers the absolute first thing you will see immediately is a surge of players from Leviathan, and Tulek Horde, and Sateel Shan returning to this game in force. So many people on those 3 servers do not play because they do not want to transfer all their stuff and pay to go to an active server like DM or SF. The exact opposite effect will take place on day 1 of the mergers. It will be like a breathe of fresh air for thousands of people who no longer play.

There is no meat left on the bone. That ship sailed. It is time to stop beating that horse. Just merge them and lets get it over with.

If they would have launched the server without any restrictions like they should have, transferring more than 16 would not have to be fixed. I swear they do this on purpose just to see how much you will take before they break your will to play this game. Non of my friends play this game anymore. I am the last man standing and am laughed at every time I mention I still play this game. Sad

Wow. That is some stuff. I really do not know what to respond to all of this other than to say I am very simply saying we need to get down to 3 servers. 1 NA, 1 EU, and 1 APAC. This is not rocket science and it is not re inventing the wheel here. It is really simple stuff. We need to consolidate servers for the sake of a healthy game into the future. I am not looking to rebuild the entire structure and all that. Maybe that could be a different thread at a different time. We have done server mergers many times in the past. We are not the first MMORPG to do so. All I am saying is that it needs to happen again and I think that will set this game up for a long time without having to deal with this for many many years. Why kick the can. Lets do it now and get it out of the way and make these galactic seasons (pvp pve) funner and more active.

In your case, there is about a 99% chance you will actually get your original name back. Alot of those names have been taken and stagnant for many many years. To be honest I think the exact opposite way as you do. This complete name purge has been needed for years. And the population to the game itself is at a lower point now. With the opening of the apac server I recently transferred 16 toons there. I got every single name I wanted without even 1 hyphen. One particular name I have no had since I played SWG because it has always been taken. I think the exact opposite will happen of what you are worried about.

I understand. Having been here since launch I have been thru many. Yes I understand you are not advocating for them. That is totally on me. I was simply referring to the mechanics of the transfer/mergers you explained to me. Thank you for explaining.

I also have been here since launch. Here is my history. I started on the original Bastion. From there was forced into Shadowlands. From Shadowlands forced to Correllian Run. From Correllian Run to Prophecy of The Five. From there I paid to move all my toons to Harbinger. From Harbinger to Star Forge. I agree it is not the funnest thing to go thru however it is essential for a healthy MMORPG from time to time. I think that time is now.
