The way I found to deal with this that isn't so annoying is to click off the box under preferences for deselect target ground or something like that. So, all I have to do is just click my mouse and it de selects the companion. Yes, you still have to "do" something, but you don't have to keep reaching over to hit esc, just a quick mouse click.

Just curious, as a lot of people have responded to this guide, yet most of it is is questioning the validity of the OP's suggestions. I don't see many stepping in to back his theory up or defending his approach to 2.0 min/maxing. Is this guide for real? I am following it as of now and just hope I am not making a mistake. I'm 4 mods away from completing all the pieces on the list. I'd hate to find out this guy is full of s.h..t and I been wasting all my time/comms. I just feel that there should of been a much greater response for the time this guide has been up. Having said that, I have faith it's solid information and will parse some tests with it in a few days.

Ok, since overload saber causes your next 3 successful melee attacks to apply the dot, why do many suggest a rotation such as this: Leap- overload saber- precision slash- CAUTERIZE- merciless slash... If overload saber is going to apply the dot on the next 3 melee attacks, isn't it better to apply the dot in this manner: Leap- overload saber- precision slash (one dot)- merc slash (second dot)- Strike (third dot)- then cauterize, adding a forth dot since it's a dot in itself. Or, does the description of OS refer to each melee attack in the sense that our melee attacks hit twice since we swing with 2 sabers, essentially meaning each melee attack has 2 chances to apply 1/3 dots? Another thing, attacks such as leg slash when used while OS is active would also add 1/3 dots since it is also a melee attack? I say this because the slow effect on leg slash helps a lot in PvP and using it when OS is up would continue with dot dps dispite it's nil damage application. Does any of this make sense, or am I misunderstanding the application potential of the dot mechanic?

UPDATE: ok, so I just got to the first DS flirt option talked about in the bug thread. I did not choose it, and as soon as I completed that portion of the quest, all those pop up conversations that I couldn't access came one right after the other on the ship. There are 3 of them back to back, which honestly cheapens the whole thing because they should be spread out over some time, as intended. Hopefully there are no later bugs we have to be on the look out for.

Yes, I've read all about the DS flirt option breaking Kira's story, however, I'm not at that part yet. I'm still on Narr Shaddaa and have recently been having the little pop up saying she wants to talk on the ship, but this won't trigger. The pop up keeps coming up, and I keep going to the ship and nothing. I'm just over 2,500 affection. Is this ANOTHER separate bug we have to deal with?
