I havnt actually done the HM yet. Only storymode so far so I cant really help. One thing I thought of though is maybe he has a new ability for HM? Did you closely look at his cast bar? Are you sure he isnt casting some new 1 shot kill spell that needs to be permanently interupted? Thats pretty much the only thing I can think of. If you guys are average geared for a HM I dont see why he would 1 shot you unless its intentional and needs to be interupted.

Levelling my alt atm and chose slicing which is now 400. Ill be hitting the high lvl planets soon. Was just wondering what kind of cash you make personally from a decent session on illum with slicing?

Yes I agree fully. A friend of mine is cybertech... we have both been 50 for a while. His list of craftable stuff goes on forever man. He is coining it selling droid, space and speeder stuff. All of which cybers have a lockdown on the market for. Ontop of that he gets some pretty usefull rakata grenades. Compared to this I have 400 armormech where Im struggling to sell stuff and havnt been able to craft anything usefull for myself in ages. Armstech is even worse.... The augments have helped but its still way short of what a cybertech can do. Why you guys crying for a buff? Seriously? Think about the bigger picture before you unbalance things even more. I think its just crafting in general that needs a buff/rework.

The point was..... He can do the things he wants to do in a commando. He hasnt gotten to a point where the guild says "sorry you are a trooper... we cant use u". As long as you dont get to that point... then there is absolutely no problem with the commando.

This is a game OP. Games are there for the sole reason of having fun. If someone has fun by running around with a wierd or "tacky" name then he is succeeding. Power to him. As with every single topic regarding taste.... "to each his own". You cannot regulate taste or define it. Especially on the internet..... Maybe some people just don't enjoy super serious names and cannot relate to them. I've seen some very odd names on here that would give a Norwegian ice fisherman a run for his money. A name like that I have no connection to and would not enjoy for 50 levels, yet by your standards you would think its great and creative. If every single person in this game had a serious name according to your listing it would get boring and feel exactly like Im playing in a random name generated game.... boring. Every now and then I might see a funny playful name and it might make me chuckle for 5 seconds while questing. I value those 5 seconds of random chuckle now and then, but if you had your way they would disappear. Or alternatively I might see a terrible name and it makes me frown at the poor retard for making yet another luke skywalker variation. Either way.... it provokes an emotional response. Id rather have a response whether its positive or negative over your idea of a random generated name game where people don't express themselves with their names. Either way you look at it... As you said... the name of a toon is the first impression one gets of a person. If everyone just random generates cool names or makes up some creative name then there is no personality in the name. You wont be able to make a first impression. If I see a playful name variation of "Chewbacca" then I can tell the guy has a sense of humour and isnt too serious. If its a ****** variation of Skywalker then I know he is probably under 18 and its best for me personally to avoid. Either way... Ill take the bad names and good names in all their glory over your idea of a stale random name generated game.

I think its a carefully constructed ploy to get us to all roll smuggler alts. Think about... smuggler is the least played class... How else do they balance it out? Get us all to roll smugglers for the phat loot!

Lol... If the answer is yes.. would you pray for him to die sooner? His whole lifelong legacy was Star Wars... I am sure he will put a clause somewhere in his will that people wont be able to touch it without so and so's permission or not at all. He would be stupid not too. Kind of sad for the rest of us though, because it would be fun to see what people would do if they had free reign over the franchise... although you dont want it to get too crazy obviously. Anyway... bottom line is I think the rights to Star Wars are buttoned up tighter then a nuns..... um.... ya, death or no death.

Ok so a friend and I have played through the game. He is a smuggler healer... I am a DPS commando. Assuming we can get two random tank and dps to help us.... which FP should we do first? We have finished normal D7 recently. I have 2 crafted rakata items and tionese legs and the rest is mostly rubbish. My friend has the same. What should we tackle first? Which HM is the most forgiving? I tried Esseles once but our (my) dps wasnt up to scratch to kill the last boss before he enraged. Up till then tho was fine and netted me tionese pants. PLS keep in mind we are strictly average or slightly better then average players. Im not looking for ppl to say "We beat HM xyz in 45 mins because its all about mechanics not gear". We arent pro. We can be taught... but for the moment we arent pro so please be realistic. Cheers

A friend and I had this exact problem OP. We where freshish 50s.... really wanted to partake in the FPs. Im a DD trooper and he is a healer smuggler. We wiped the first time (didnt have a dedicated tank) and saw how difficult it is if you dont get the setup and mechanics right so we abandoned the 1st attempt. It then took us 2 weeks.... 2 WEEKS! To get a full group of 1 tank 1 healer 2 dps. 2 nites ago we finally achieved that and finished the FP. It was quite fun, but the gear drop was terrible. Anyway... long story short... on a 100 ave ppl on the fleet server it took us 2 weeks to get a group of the right makeup together for D7. Kinda sucks but I guess there isnt much one can do.

If your alt character is on the same server.. simply go to a mail station... type in your alts name under the "to" section.... then drag the kit from your inventory to the mail screen. click send. Login with alt and check your email. Simple. If they not on same server it cannot be done.

In any event or competition in RL there are people sitting outside the "bubble" as they say. In other words.... if a cutoff time in a race to get a medal is 3 hours and you are 3 hours 15 minutes.... you are outside the bubble and no medal for you.... If you run the 100m at the olympics and you finish 4th... you dont get a medal (gold, silver, bronze) and you dont get to stand on the podium. You will be considered as outside the "bubble". You where so close to a medal.... 1 place... but sorry for you you didnt quite make it. Unfortunately for you BW made a cutoff zone. There will be ppl outside the bubble. There always are. Doesnt matter how close outside you are, you dont get the reward. Its simple really. Its a part of life. Not everyone can get rewarded. They made a cutoff... you didnt make it. Sad but true.

Crafting Can you cover your materials by crew missions or do you need to gather resource nodes to make a profit? Best way to make profit is to get them from a node. The purple artifact mats you need to craft artifact gear however can only be gotten from missions though so basically crafting is a balance between node farming and missions. PvP What is this "bolster" mechanic and how does it work? Does that mean my lvl10 can compete with a lvl50? The bolster mechanic will bolster you to a lvl 49 according to your gear and other factors. A true lvl 49 will still be better then you and most likely have slightly more hp then you but it will be pretty even. There is now a new bracket just for lvl 50s so the system only bolsters you to lvl 49 now. As far as picking a server... dont be too concerned about that. Just make sure you pick a well populated server... IE one that is at least standard full in peak times. This is so you can get groups to do stuff. No one likes a dead server. Other then that... no side is more mature or less... That is impossible to determine. Also imperial is dominant in most servers, but I believe its evening out so dont worry about that either.

There is always a place for common decency and etiquette. Just because its a game doesnt mean you have to act like a dog. It doesnt matter if its RL or online or wherever you are, ppl should have manners. Didnt your parents teach you that, or where they drunk all the time? I understand not everyone is like that though, so if something happened to me like the OP id probably just shrug it off as "different strokes for different folks" and move along, but ppl like you are full of it.

Another vote for the trooper here... Made my troopers look a perfect fit for Jenifers voice.. That made a big difference for me.
