  1. Why did you bump a year and a half old thread without comment?
  2. Here's the relevant paragraph from that link I posted about dyables. Bold is my emphasis. Although we can't actually dye these things without dye slots, we CAN preview-dye them. I haven't seen a piece that looked horrible in the preview window that would be justification for not having a slot. Also, I'm thinking that either they changed their minds about all craftables being dyable, or they haven't finished putting slots on everything, because there are definitely Synthweaving things that can't be dyed.
  3. If I remember correctly, gear below level 15 cannot be dyed. The exception to that is level 1 Cartel Market gear can be dyed. The exception to the exception (!) is that Lore gear (Jolee Bindo, Carth Onasi, etc.) can't be dyed. That means the Black Talon/Esseles gear is too low level to be dyed. Personally, I think any Orange gear should be dyable, and just leave the level restrictions on Green/Blue gear that's too low. I tried to find the post where I saw this, but my search-fu has failed for now. Edit: This site had the info I was looking for about what is dyable.
  4. My understanding is that a "Progression" guild is an end game guild that is focusing on a brand new (or brand new to them) Operation. As such, there is a significant chance of everyone dying (multiple times) during the process. Most (or all) of the people are leaning the special mechanics of the Operation in question, so things do not flow smoothly. They are trying to Progress their status in the end game. (I don't do end game stuff myself, so if things are wrong or incomplete, I'm sure others with correct/fill in as needed.)
  5. There are a few ways of increasing your Presence permanently. Some are tied to your Legacy, and thus affect every character you have or will make on a given server. 1. Datacrons. There are several datacrons that boost Presence. This method is not tied to your Legacy, so each character must find them. I use this site for my datacron hunting needs. 2. Level a Human to 50. Because Humans have the ability to be any class from the beginning, the reward for reaching level 50 as a Human is a 100 point Presence boost given to your Legacy. 3. Complete all quests and conversations for as many companions as possible. Each companion that you finish grants a 10 point Presence boost to your Legacy. With 40 companions across the 8 classes, this totals to 400 potential Presence points. You can view which companions you are done with on the Imperial/Republic Class tabs of your Legacy window. (Note 1: you'll need over 9000 affection for most if not all companions to finish with them, as well as progression in your Class story.) (Note 2: Bonuses given for completing a companion of a given Role (Healer, Melee Tank, Ranged DPS, ets.) do not stack. Thus finishing both Theran Cedrax and Doc will grant 20 Presence, but only one boost to Healing Received.)
  6. At the moment there is no ETA. I'm sure once there is one, the Dev tracker will have it.
  7. Per unit pricing is actually on the GTN now, just not in its own column. They put it in a tooltip if you mouse-hover the price on a stack. That said, ability to sort by unit cost would be nice, and would probably require putting unit cost in its own column anyway...
  8. I don't use these abilities on my Guardian because by the time I can get to the place I put them on my bars, the stun from Force Sweep has already worn off - it only seems to last about the length of one GCD, so if it's not queued up quickly, 'Required effect not present'. I'm probably not specced properly to take advantage of Pommel/Opportune strike, but that's my reasoning.
  9. Having the same situation, also on Jedi Covenant. Also, http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5921873#edit5921873 - Community dev posted that servers were up. Edit: right after posting this, I tried again, and now am past server select, waiting for the selected character to load. Edit 2: Selected character never loaded, second attempt was back to Error code 4. Will wait for further word before trying again.
  10. The reason a healer doesn't need endurance (unless soloing) is because if all group members are doing their jobs properly, the healer shouldn't be taking damage. If you're not taking damage, it doesn't matter if you have 10, 1000, or 100,000 hp, so endurance (which only boosts hp) gives nothing practical. Power and crit both boost the amount of healing a healer can do, which is very practical.
  11. By second companion, I believe he's refering to one's ship droid. It has some healing ability, although it is inferior to the actual healing companion one gets later.
  12. Huh, and here I was, hoping that all these identical Enhancements would become different once I REd them and learned the higher level versions. Is that not the case? Example: Green Assault and Wily both have identical Crit and Surge on them, I was hoping Blue Assault might end up with higher Crit and Blue Wily higher Surge or something like that.
