  1. The most damning statistic is the sheer # of Sorcs that are played. You cannot refute that they are roughly 80% of all Warzones for the Empire.
  2. If that's true, then Sorcs are ever MORE OP than I thought since their damage is insane as it is in my heavy armor.
  3. Heavy Armor and Shields are CLOSE to worthless in PVP since they don't do anything against the vast majority of damage you face - ie lighting from 80% Sorcs in Warzones. So a Sorc in Light Armor with 20k HPs and a 4k bubble every 20 seconds and healing is many more times survivable than a tank with heavy armor and a shield.
  4. Ranged > Melee in this game. Empire has more Ranged players than Republic. If you don't believe me, just start looking at the end of Warzones. Republic has more melee classes (Jedis) than do Empire (Juggernauts) in every single warzone. And more Sorcs, the most OP class in the game. I realize the following isn't a large enough sample, but this morning here is what I counted, just Sorcs vs Sages in 12 Warzones: 94 Sorcs vs 25 Sages 9 Juggs vs 42 Jedis
  5. The game has dated graphics. I have a GTX 560 video card (good card) and in anything open world pvp with even 8v8, it's a slideshow.
  6. Tomorrow's update won't fix Illum, still some mindless crap. In March we get 1 new Warzone, which you probably wont get much if you're Empire and will get boring fast. Add to this another update won't come up in March, and you're looking at months of nothingness. If you're a pvper, time to cancel.
  7. Taunt SHOULD provide protection points in Warzones so we look like we are doing something and can actually compare our effectiveness.
  8. Maybe it's just my server, but we have many Sorcs with 20k HPs. Now if you add a 4k bubble and healing....
  9. Here is why it isn' though: To DPS you must be alive and not fleeing. A Sorc can stand in the center DPSing and keeping himself and others alive. The Operative, if stealthed to live, is not DPSing.
  10. Most Survivable Class First, they can have the same HPs as everyone else (19-20k). Second, in PVP their light armor is functionally the same as all other armor. Third, their bubble puts them over the top as the most survivable class. Most Versatile Class You can spec for DPS or Healing while being survivable OR spec for both! Top Sustained DPS Not the best burst, but for sustained DPS over the long haul (remember, being alive = doing more DPS) the Sorc does it best. You have imbalance when the best DPS also is the hardest to kill and most versatile class in the game.
  11. No wonder I feel like such a weakling. I've always felt I should live longer based on full defensive spec and now I know I was right!
  12. What's going to be funny are all the supposed skill players will be rerolling out of Sorc when they get nerfed.
  13. I know, I should blame myself for not rolling one. Let's compare Guardian to Sorc. Same potential HPs. Same ability to soak damage (Sorc has bubble, we have cooldowns) Sorc has Ranged attacks which are much easier in PVP - Advantage Sorc Sorc has superior DPS - Advantage Sorc Sorc's healing is more valuable than our Protection because they heal for a lot more and the healing is more versatile.
  14. 18-20k hit points, at least the same potential for HPs as everyone else. An insane bubble that in effect, makes them have more damage mitigation than heavy armor. And in an extended fight, even more mitigation with it's ability to be reused. Ability to spec for 300-400k healing (which is insane considering healing is reduced 30% in pvp). Ability to spec for 300-400k damage. And range in this game is easy mode compared to playing a melee. Sure, an Operative can kill you a more quickly than a Sorc, but doesn't have all the other benefits a Sorc does. The Sorc, the real OP class.
