  1. I was fortunate enough to make it into 5.0 with a few full sets of 224 gear. After trying to stomach this ridiculous cxp grind; I realized that if I waited until enough people I knew learned the 240 schematics, I could replace the barrels/hilts/mods/enhancements as they became available and do the armorings at my leisure. All I had to do was be sure to have the mats to give them and BOOM, I was geared; so now I can just buy my way into better gear with credits! But there's a catch.......... Now that my characters are geared; what incentive do I have to do the content? Raids - they don't drop set pieces anymore, just cxp crates, and woefully small ones at that. Oh sure, 5.1 will get some kind of extra RNG system to augment the current RNG system in raids; isn't that exciting! Still, it's hard to find people who raid well anymore; since the last raids were released 2 years ago; and most true progression raiders left this game a year after that. What's left is a raiders limbo comprised of people who somewhat "know" the fights and some new players that are willing to bravely try to learn from them; remember new players - "Do, or Do Not. There is no Try.":csw_yoda: Then there's the handful of current NiM raiders who can down some of the content in 224s because that's how they roll! (hats off to you guys/gals) Getting into one of those line-ups is like winning the SwtoR lottery. Heroics/FP - Meh. been there done that; run with some friends or get smashed and PuG it for kicks! Doesn't hold my interest long enough to be useful to me at least. Again; the content is ancient and unless I'm gabbing with friends via VoiP of some kind, I fall asleep at the keyboard. No lie. Did that a few times. The new whatever they are called..... Oh ya, Uprisings that's it! Those things are cut and pasted from old content like ops and Flashpoints with a smidge more cxp to act as a carrot to play them. They are almost as bad as doing the KP Champ farm and not nearly as lucrative! Pass on those unless I am with friends AND smashed! PVP - Oh. Ya. This is where 5.0 shines folks! I love love love me some PVP! Ranked all day! "Oh, what? The hackers have hijacked ranked, AGAIN! Crap, I'll do some dailies until they leave...... Third time this week......":t_evil: I suppose you can GSF........ Did I just say that out loud? I really really love this game; some of my best and worst gaming memories happened right here; with my friends/guildies. It's too bad that the dream stream team has taken one of my favorite things and DEFILED it with their idea of "exciting". But at least I have a WoW account to mess around with until they fix this mess or scrap it and make me a new one!
  2. Who are you Op? Do you know what the majority of the player base wants? How do you know your opinion is shared by most of the community? Do you have some hard data to back up your statements? If so, I'd like to see it. Show us you know what you're talking about. Because I know a whole lot of people that would disagree with you. As a matter of fact, how do we know you are a player at all? You could be a bioware employee posing as a player and sticking up for your employers; or you could just be some story only, gear doesn't affect me, casual who would like to see the world burn for anyone who doesn't play like you do. You could even be a subbed player who believes what you posted. Every time the Devs do something unpopular our community gets a little bit smaller. Sooner or later this community will be too small to support keeping the game running in its current form. Then where will you be? Playing SwtoR on Steam maybe. The key to a successful MMO is having just enough content to keep ALL segments of the player base happy, not just one. Having fresh WZ, Ops, FPs, and Story along with a gearing system that is relatively simple for all but the most hardcore players is key to a long lived MMO. So don't be so quick to be that bioware fanboi; demand more of your game Dev's (co-workers) or we could be seeing you posting on the WoW forums in a few months.......
  3. Preach on! I just cancelled my sub after watching Bioware troll us in that live feed. They can earn my sub back when they produce a game worth playing; not a mindless cxp farm that drains the joy of playing this game right out of you. 5.0 is a complete failure of an xpac for anyone who loves to do challenging group content. All you story only players can have what's left of this once great game; because the Op's words aren't for you, they are for me, and for everyone like me who is frustrated by the Dev's actions despite the continued decline of this game. My sub runs out in mid January, so instead of grinding cxp and maybe getting a good drop, I'll be here givingthe Dev's the "feedback" they asked for in the stream. Flame on!
  4. Hello harbinger! Malicious is a HM raiding guild on Imp side that runs multiple Ops daily. We use TS3 (also have Mumble in the sister guild) and Starparse for all raids; they are a must! We are looking for experienced raiders (at least SM/HM achievements up to DF/DP, and SM or better for Rav/ToS) in DPS and tanking roles. Also, being able to show off a 4950+ parse on the million dummy can't hurt either; and will probably make you really popular with the raid leaders. Healing is mostly covered, but having an extra healer or two is always handy! We are particularly interested in picking up any east coast players who have found themselves without a raid team for whatever reason. We want to fill in the 5pm start times for our east coast players who have a lot of play time before the 8pm raid (or have to work the next day and can't stay up too late). Raid Times: all raids are posted in server time, Pacific time zone. Tues/Thurs 5pm-8pm PST Tues/Thurs 8pm-11pm PST Tues/Thurs 11pm-1am PST Fri/Sat 5pm-8pm PST Fri/Sat 8pm-11pm PST Fri/Sat 11pm-1am PST Wed/Sun/Mon are usually for Alts or cleanup. Our raiding player base is a shrinking pool since the announcement of no new Ops in the near future. Don't be discouraged; and don't be left on the sidelines; come join us and enjoy the challenge of 4.0 raiding with a fun group of people while getting the best gear in the game! If you feel like what we are asking for describes you, then please apply on our website http://malicious-swtor.enjin.com/ We can set up a meeting and discuss what you want to play, and when you can play it!
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions/offers folks! I have found some of my old guildies on the server, and we are in the process of building up our numbers on both pub and imp side.
  6. If you haven't filled that spot yet I have an Op healer and a Sorc healer that are pretty well geared. The Op is Hannamontana and the sorc is Plazmius. PM me or send an in game email, Thanks!
  7. I am a transplant from PoT5 and am looking for a new place to call home. I have 8 imp and 6 pub toons all at level 60; some with 1 or 2 sets of 192 gear (tank/dps & heal/dps - 6 mirror classes). I am very familiar with SM ToS and Ravagers, as well as SM & HM in the older raids. I like doing WZ with my guildies, as well as Conquest activities (crafting, WB kills, HM FP). The guild I came from slowly fell apart a few months ago; so I took a few months off. When I came back (3 weeks ago) my server was deserted and my guild was dead. I am specifically looking for what I would call an intermediate guild; people who run SM ToS & Rav every day on alts (and sometimes more than once a day) but who also have 1 or 2 HM progression teams running a week. I can contribute greatly to a guild like this because I am familiar with all roles in the current content. I am available almost every night of the week to raid on, and because it's a west coast server I am getting on right at most guilds raid time (7:00pm pst) or a few hours before. What I am looking for is a guild that is above all social - a few people in mumble or vent at any time of the day willing to do things in game or just someone to chat with while you do dailies if nothing else. I won't mention any names, but I am currently in a guild that only spends time in voice comm when they are raiding, then they scatter after the raid. This seems like anti social behavior for a raiding guild to me (especially a beginner raid group). So I hope that there is a guild out there for me to call home. I am primarily imp side, but have no problem playing my mirrors on pub side; Its good people I'm interested in! My main is Diaablo ( IO Merc) on imp side, or Kal'daor on pub side. Hope to hear from you soon!
  8. Imperial guard is building from the ground up! Who are the Imperial Guard? We are currently a handful of dedicated, Imp side players who are experienced in all aspects of gameplay. We have HM/NiM raiders that can teach you the fights & get you geared up to fight them! We have PvP 4 man groups that will run with you in warzones so you can get votes/medals and gear faster. We have a new guild ship, and are currently working on setting up PvE teams for conquest. We also have a mumble server so you can talk to each other for better gameplay. Play times will vary, but most of us are on line in the evenings 7 days a week (6pm-2am EST). What are we looking for? We are currently looking for mature players that have at least 1 max level character, have a basic understanding of the game, and are looking for a challenge! Mumble is a must if you wish to participate in guild activities. Our main focus right now is to gain players that are guild friendly, and want to participate in Conquest Events, and generally do PvE/PvP in a social setting. So if you have found yourself just returning to the game and don't know where to start, or have found yourself in a guild of 3 for whatever reason; look no further, you can have a home with us! Contact Gheng (Guildmaster) or Diaablo (Do-boy) in game via mail or whisper if you are interested in joining up. We have a fledgling enjin website http://imperialguardguild.enjin.com/ please sign up there and leave us a message. Also, if you have a group of friends that all want a new home together, let us know! We are willing to accommodate your needs as you help us grow.
  9. Hello; I am looking for a PVE Empire Raiding Guild that can do progressive raiding on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday nights. I am currently in a guild; but we are not raiding on those nights, so I am forced to run 16m SM for comms ATM. I would like to place a few toons into a guild that raids on the nights I'm available. I am willing and able to parse using Parsec if you require it. I do have experience raiding 8 and 16m SM/HM for DF, DP, SnV, and TFB. My main is a Sorc healer, but I can also Tank and DPS. I have availability to Ventrilo, Mumble, and TS. I am not shy, so I will verbalize exactly what I'm thinking; I am pretty easy going, but with that being said; If you need a decent raider with the ability to adapt and lead if needed; Please mail me back or hit me up in game on my Main Paladius. Thanks!
  10. Hello folks! I just patched 1.7.3 and began running some of the heroic space missions only to find myself being completely smashed to bits by the baddies. This was a complete shock to me as I run these missions on several toons every week, and have little trouble completing them alonf this all objectives. I t feels like my weapons aren't doing any damage to the enemy and thier weapons hit alot harder. I noticed mention in the patch notes about space mission rep text, but nothing about changes to damage stats. My question to you is; are you experiencing a change in heroic space missions, and are they intentional or a bug? Thanks and good hunting!
