  1. I appear to have public and private versions of several of my strongholds, duplicates in my list (Coruscant, Kaas, Yavin, and Nar Shadaa). I'd like to remove the clutter, but I'm worried about deleting the actual strongholds. Anyone know what's going on with this?
  2. Yeah, that was the stat. I'm a healer though so accuracy isn't needed much for me, just need to be able to take the hits and keep the maulers up Thanks for the info
  3. or just played in general, thanks to trouble getting the game to install and still keep my internet functioning (strange bug, support was no help, barely even tried to do anything, finally fixed it myself), but I'm back in action and trying to get up to speed. I previously had separate pve and pvp gearsets in my bag, but upon my return it seems my armor sets both have the same stats on them, I don't see the "pvp stat" that used to be there (the name even evades me). Did they eliminate it, or did something weird happen to my gear set that I missed reading the update for?
  4. To clarify for teve that part was to explain why the issue was not instant, for those that aren't aware of the differences between shutdown/restart on windows 10 (which their having updated that is one of many things that drives me bonkers) Continuing the tech support exodus they did finally answer me and I did finally get in contact with suposively the right support, but having to explain to them in circles 10 times they still didn't seem to get the idea that I can't let bitraider operate and keep my computer from not being a paperweight. They eventually e-mailed me instructions for troubleshooting logs for the game, but none of those operate correctly until installation is done. The guy was supposed to e-mail me the "tech approved" way to remove and shut down bitraider but they failed to send me that. Two days and two e-mails later still no response. I've been trying to call them for the last 4 hours and their phone system is totally busy, so I guess something else is severely screwed up. Wonderful tech support all the way around.
  5. Been waiting a 10 minutes for a queue for a chat that said less than a minute. Tried reload, same thing. Tried to access their special support community forum, can't even get it to go to the login screen. Amazing work, really. I should just kill my subscription right now, I'm paying you guys for the privilege of repeatedly installing swtor instead of playing it. Ticket #880932704, get off your butts. In the meantime, for the enjoyment of all the forum goers, my issue. This is an exodus that has lasted a few months now, a problem resulting in the crippling of my computer and two trips to warrenty tech support before I sorted out the issue myself. Been playing swtor a long while now, few years even, can't remember the date anymore. Enjoyed it a lot, continued to play it even after the windows10 update made it a bit sketchy on my latest computer but still kept with it. Eventually problems became enough that I tried uninstall and reinstall the game to fix it, doesn't really change things, then my computer loses the ability to connect to the internet. It can detect all the networks around me, but mysteriously it's unable to obtain an IP address so I can't get connected (simple terms, my modem can't "see" the computer well enough to assign it an ip). Restores, system wipes, they all fix the issues temporarily, but it constantly returns. Warrenty support has checked for all matter of hardware issues, nothing. Latest time I get it back I take a very slow time installing all my software, agonizingly only installing a program once every couple of days. Eventually, I get to swtor. Now something you need to understand about windows is there's a difference with win10 between a shutdown and a restart. Their fast startup they have now-in-days is a form of hybrid that lets you start back up faster, to do a proper shutdown you have to tell it to do a restart. I shut down the computer after swtor had been installed, turned it on the next day and it was acting funny. Did a restart on the system, the net goes out again. Only installed program was swtor. Accessing another of my older computers to seek support I look at my bookmarks and find an old one I forgot about - a guide to removing BitRaider. In the past this vile piece of webherpies prevented me from installing swtor patches and I had to remove it to play the game, and for the life of my computer it had no issues after BitRaider was pulled. With having reinstalled swtor, the disease was reapplied to my computer, but this time since it was after win10, the two seem to hate each other and the innocent bystander is my internet connection. Post-mortem review I realize every time the internet went out, it was after Swtor had been installed and the system was restarted. Sadly there is absolutely no way to get swtor right now without the BitRaider, which will all-but brick my gaming computer that requires the internet to play any game I want to play. There's no reason for me to pay for a game that I can't play, so how are we going to resolve this issue? It would be beautiful if there's an archived copy of the old launcher that still works, or a modern webherpies-free installer, or if EA would just answer their own *********** support. I never had issues contacting technical support while Bioware was still running the show.
  6. Of course I'm referring to the Iokath plot which I have delayed playing for this reason, gearing up for the worst. Yup, once again the latest content gives us options you're guaranteed to hate either way, and doesn't damn really matter in the scheme of things. Republic, empire? Doesn't matter, same faction with the same leader, given the writing. Only differences these things ever have is what companion you aquire or who you're forced to kill (real dick move, I still want my Torian AND Vette you jerks). Of course there's a new flavor of that this content: they gave into pvpers crying that there isn't enough republic vs. imperial content, and so they shoehorn it on the rest of us instead of giving them something on the side they can do (that's what battlegrounds are for). I have a sovereign power in my Alliance, a faction that has built itself on looking past the old war to deal with threats as a unified group, I have defeated the old emperor and claimed the Zakuulan forces, as well as those I already had join me from the pubs and imps, limiting their ranks - why am I being forced to pick someone to be lacky to? Where's my third, correct answer, to say get off my property, spank these tantruming children and send them back to their corners? Lazy writing, lack of time, lack of cash, take your pick. I'd personally happily spend the $15-30 for a paid expansion to have my option three, rather than get forced into two crappy options that are only the illusion of an option. It would be so much more fun to say "screw both of you" an then have to deal with both forces on my way to deal with the weapon. This chapter I have a run in with imperials, next the republic has launched an attack on me for my disregard of their plight. How fun would it be not actually knowing who's gonna be having a go at you? But no, we get a decision crammed down our throats again, nevermind that we went to all this effort to put you in charge of a massive army, you don't get to use it in anything you'd actually want to. In the end I did make my decision, though I really wasn't a decision at all to make, I went Imperial - I already had an existing alliance with them (even though Acina's betrayed me to sneak into my territory), and my last notable dealings with the republic was an attempt to assassinate me and take over my faction (Republic isn't that stupid to be blind to "Empress" Saresh still pulling the strings on her puppet replacement). Regardless of whether you were imp or pub originally, these two facts would lead towards siding with Empire (though whoever you choose would get punished anyways in the course of the story) If you really want to get a bead on what way the story should go and make everyone happy, keep that third option and track how people choose. See how often you really have people go with the war, or decide to go against the factions on their own path. For the Alliance!
  7. I concur with all of the above, change it to a scrollbar and let us change the order. I hate my apartments and use them merely to swell my conquest rating, I'd much like to have them shoved down out of the way and have the two I use most at the top.
  8. I've noticed this bug as well on my gunslinger, but there's also a very easy solution until they fix it - log into the effected character, and it immediately updates their status. Granted, it's gonna piss me off before they get it fixed if I have to do it a ton, but I'm only occasionally afflicted by it, so I'll deal for the moment.
  9. Can't seem to figure out how to get this going on an alt now that the new content's out. Where do we start the Makeb plot? Used to be from the holo-terminal, but no go now.
  10. so access to them but they'll still go MIA at the time of appropriate re-entry into the story?
  11. Now that it's finally functioning, who has clicked this? If you accepted to have your companions return immediately, do they just go into your contacts list, or does it give you missions to locate them?
  12. Yeah I had my own HK-51 as soon as the content came out, but I'm still a tad upset about losing a fun companion. Would've at least loved one scene where 51 and 55 got to meet each other and my 51 have a moment of "Explicative: who the hell is this? Are you cheating on me with another HK, master?" From a business standpoint I can understand them only giving us HK-55 for a little while, as maybe it'll drive sales for the HK-51 unlock, but then there's also the matter of the companions trailer they put up on the site for us recently. We get to see this dramatic scene of all the main characters walking in formation with the outlander, approaching troops and a walker as though going towards a major final battle. True, it could have been a short clip made just for the trailer, but why bother when there's so much other content that could have filled a couple of seconds? Things to think about.
  13. Has anyone managed to keep him or has fate decided he gets destroyed in this chapter? Yeah, we might wind up with him rebuilt later or some kind of replacement, but that's yet to be seen.
  14. I personally lied to Arkann, but I do have some weird curiosity about how this would have gone. The nature of the agreement, if it panned out that way, would've derailed the whole story if it carried out how Arkann said, so I'm wondering how it actually plays out. Additionally, has anyone managed to hold onto their HK55 or is he always lost in that chapter?
  15. left her alone for a while, came back and found the trick is now in the abilities book, though it wasn't before even after dismiss/summon. guess it takes some matter of time for the game to catch up
