Jeeboplow, What pet did you use to level up with lethal sniper? Some people on these forums say that Dr Lokin can keep you up in heroics solo, but when I tried him with my ops agent, I thought he sucked. I just about have him with my sniper and was wondering who you used. Kal so far has been my main pet since she tanks everything while I burn things down. I just don't know if lokin can keep you up with 4 things hitting you and you try and fight them all. At least with a tank pet, they are all attacking her. Without any heals to keep her up though, is it better to have them all on you and have lokin heal you? I do admit, I didn't gear him at all and it seems from the posts that he doesn't come well geared... maybe that was my problem. With my ops agent, I used kal till I got the ranged DPS girl (forgot her name) but she came after lokin. I destroyed with her. So is it better to have a tank pet taking damage or a healer pet healng you while you take damage or a DPS pet and just kill things fast enough that no one dies.... What did you prefer or use??? Yeah, after my post, I realized that you have to put them somewhere to get up that tree and the remaining options are not really mind blowing or game changing.... so I can understand why you leave them there....

Do you have any vids of your PvP? Just wondering if you ever record and post it?

Thanks for reply... so its not really worth to stack it again till its about over... that sucks... should at least damage again.... I can understand not debuffing... but the damage should be there... esp with all the healers outhealing our damage as it is....

I just dinged 45 with my op and got acid blade. But I have a question. Does the internal damage stack on an opponent? For example, you stealth, apply acid blade, your first attack is hidden strike to knock them down and it applies the acid blade deduff and the internal damage over the next 6 seconds, but I usually hit backstab while they are on the ground since I am behind them anyway already.... if I recoat with acid blade and hit backstab, do you get another 6 second stack of the internal damage since you reapplied acid blade? I know you probably don't get another 30% debuff on the armor, but I was wondering about the internal damage? Can anyone let me know... not in game right now to try it.. figure I would ask.... Thanks... I do have the expansion pack... so what should I be looking for once I hit 50? My current level 40 PvP items I think wouldnt be usefull in 50-55 content. Should I rely on my story mission items as replacement? Like I said I am level 47 now and nothing storyline has been better so far... I just dont want to be gimping myself armor wise past 50 if I can do something about it now....

Thanks for the replies.... Now about armor... just hit 47. I was reading some posts and people were talking about dread guard gear. Is this what I should get next? If so, where do you get it. Do I have to PvP for it? Is it in a daily? I currently have the level 40 PvP gear and so far my story missions arnt giving me anything that is better stats so far. So I am keeping it. I just got to Voss. Should I get better gear there or wait till 50-55? I usually dont come close to dieing... sometimes my pet (Mx one) does... but thats okay he tanks well enought. Should I still be using him? I love his pull and thats why I still use him.. havent tried anyone else really.... Thanks again for any help./...

I just started playing the game again about a month ago and this time I rolled a Trooper Gunnery Commando. I have gotten him higher than any other character I have played and I am comeing close to end game. I am about level 47 and dont really know anything about my stats, my armor.. what I should be getting etc. So I have a few questions. I know Aim is our most important stat so I just get items with that. But I have a question. Accuracy for example. I have range of 94.66 and bonus of 3.90% So my basic total is 94.66 and special attacks is 104.66. I know someone said this should be over 100, but is that for special or basic? Can someone explain this better to me and should I try to get this higher? Armor.... so far I just PvE mainly, but i do PvP for the daily every day and I got most of the level 40 PvP armor pieces before 2.0. Now they are not there and I dont understand the new armor system. I guess my question is, what is the best armor I should be going for for gunnery commando. Where and how do I get it. Is it PvP armor, is it drops from PvE? Can someone point me in the right direction? I just want to know so i can start trying to save for it or start doing what I need to do to get it. Is it something I cant do until 50 or 55? I just really dont know.... What is raka??? whatever armor... should i get that... I have heard people mention something like that, again i dont know and sorry for the noob questions.... just trying to find what I need to go toward.... Thanks for any info...

I just hit 45 today (final got my demo round back... sad they took it away from you till you reached 45) but my question is about how much my rotation has changed. I used to fire grav round three times to build up and get the Curtain of fire to proc. Now what are you all doing since you dont have to fire three times now to get the debuff. I find my Curtain of Fire proc doesnt happen as often since I am not fireing grav round as much. I know you can fire impact bolt as well, but are you all still using grav round as often even though you dont need to? I wish they would have increased its chance of proc since we dont have to fire grav as much. Just wondering what you all are doing? Also a question about this new skill •Adrenaline Rush has been redesigned. Adrenaline Rush now gets the player Fired Up which will trigger when they drop below 30% health. Once triggered, Adrenaline Rush will heal the player rapidly up to but no higher than 30% of their maximum health. This effect lasts 8 seconds The tool tip in game confuses me. Will this proc at 30% if you dont active it? It kinda reads like it will. Do you have to activate it for it to work or will it auto activate at 30% whether you hit it or not? Would be great if it did, but I cant tell by the info on the tool tip. Can anyone clarify? Thanks for any info...

Well, no one has replied, so I will narrow my questions... I have decided to go commando and I am leaning toward gunnary tree. I may go all healing, but I want to see how the DPS gunner works. I have been reading alot and it seems this isnt very viable for PvP, but I dont plan on PvP that much. I plan on solo PvE, so with that it mind, is gunnary a good choice? At level 8/9 I was able to complete all three heroics on the starter area with no help and no pet... although I had to rest after each fight and only died once. So I am optimistic that a DPS gunner can solo PvE not too bad... I am hoping that I can still solo heroics with just my pet. With that being said, who should I use as a companion with a dps build. I assume I will get some kind of heal that I can use since I am going commando and since I am not specing too much in the combat medic tree, I am hoping to be okay and just outdamage opponents before they can kill me. So should I have a healer companion, tank or another DPS.... If I have other DPS, can I keep them alive with the few heals I have to survive heroics solo? Thanks for any help... And by the way, I am thinking of rolling 5-31-5.... although most of there threads seem outdated or over a year old... they look like good builds, but cant really tell since they were created in january/feg of 2012....

I played SWTOR when it first came out for a few months.. then took a break. I am back now and I am rolling a new character. I have never played a trooper before (or a BH) so I am new to this class. I have one simple question as to whether to go commando or vanguard. I do not know which is best for me, so I am asking other veteran troopers to help me out. I mainly just PVE 95% of the time and most of that time is solo with just my pet. Should I go vanguard and tank or should I go comando and healer? Which is better to survive solo PvE? I am use to doing heroics solo with my Inquis and would like to do the same if possible? Or is a DPS version better for solo play PvE? I just want to be able to stay alive in some tough encounters solo and come out on top with some decent damage. I dont need to shread things, I would rather live, but not at the expense that it takes me ten minutes to kill something.... I know I cant solo bosses and will have to get a group, but even some of them I could with my Inquiis with heals, sheild and pet tank. So with that in mind, what is best for the way I play, a tank (which I am not use to) or a healer (which I have used in the past). Since I will not be doing much grouping, tanking for a group or healing for a group is not my priority. Keeping me alive and leveling is. Any specs would be nice too, or at least which tree to go up or invest into..... is there anything that I just have to have as a trooper, like something they all need because it is that good? I have read the forums alot and I still cant decide... I need to know soon because I am already level 9 and the choice is comeing up... Thanks for any help... haveing a blast so far....

I just started a sniper (since I am not going to continue with operative due to the rediculous nurf).. With that, I have decided I want to go engineering and although its not as popular, I was thinking of this build.. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#400bcrZrI0bRRbRrsZo.1 I am only level 18 so far (and haveing a blast) but I started in all engineering so far... my question is, should I respec into ballistic dampeners first for the defense (so far I have had no problems) and then go up engineering tree? or should I continue to max out engineering and then go up MM tree at end? I mainly solo PvE and with my sorcs and to some extent my operative, I could solo most heroics in the level 20 range and up... occasionally would need a group for some of the 4s, other times I could solo them with pet... Can a sniper solo heroics if you are leveled higher than they are... and if so, what is the best build for engineer sniper to do so? Like I said, should I get dampeners first or continue up the eng tree....?? Any advice, help would be appreciated.... my operative is on hold barring the changes to see if it breaks him in PvE like I think it will...

Can someone post there final builds for engineering? I just went sniper and will go engineering and would like to see what people are taking in this build and why... Thanks

So you are seeing that 12% tick every three seconds with stim boost? The heal is being increased by the 9% increase in healing done to us including the stim boost heal of 3%? If that is the case, great.... that is how it should be in my opinion... just wasnt sure if that is what was happening... dont want to respec because of something trivial like that...
