  1. What ever happened to learning an MMO as you go? Why does everyone want everything on a platter? Consider the datacrons easter eggs. You stumble upon one..and you go ooooooooo. Plus...the first 3 datacrons on Korriban are so OBVIOUS that there's no way that someone doesnt even stumble upon one. Once you get it and get a codec entry...read it!
  2. The g15 keys work just fine with the game. You need to realize that they aren't actually recognized by the OS until you assign it a key with the Logitech software.
  3. I've been seeing a few of these threads and I'd like to say a few things. If someone is not interested in doing any of the heroics, flashpoints, ops, and be part of a guild, I can see how this game might "feel" Like a single player game. Especially with the awesome dialogue in cutscenes. Now how is this different then WoW? My last few toons that I leveled in wow I went from 1 to 80 solo while the rest of my guild ran heroics etc. I think the only time I interacted with other people (guildmates) was when I wanted a runthough in SM and the arenas in BC. I believe the higher immersion level in this game makes people feel like they are playing a single player game. Coupled with the fact that some people are just anti-social or don't care to make a slight effort to group with others to do H2 and H4 contributes to that. As for the co-op comments; How does this differ then any other MMO? You can pretty much solo from lvl 1 to max with limited interactions from other players. I dont see a difference here. Maybe the landscape induces some of these single-player game feelings as well? I don't feel it. Some of the first few planets are a little small, but I fail to see how this could make someone feel they are playing a sp game. Some slight comparisons to other games SWG - A Huge world...but each planet was pretty much a large open square. Only Kash and Mustafar had canyons and valleys that you could not cross. WoW - The continents are very nice indeed. It's nice to run across the border of the areas without loading...but infact there is loading...you just dont see it anymore. Part of it is because WoW does not require a lot of resources. Textures can be loaded on the fly. You still go through loading screens when changing continents/outlands/northrend etc. AoC - Similar to swtor in the sense that you had beautiful zones that required instancing and loading because otherwise your computer would not be able to handle the full zone and only one instance of it. TL;DR I believe immersion adds to the SP feeling of this game which I think some players are misconstruing as a bad thing.
  4. I think its the right choice. I'm a bubble from 25 and still have 2 4man heroics left to do before I head off to Nar Shadaa
  5. Post this is the suggestion forum. Theres a thread there that someone is keeping updated with all the decent suggestions that people post.
  6. Very nice write up Sir. I agree with everything 100%
  7. While I agree that theres plenty still to be fixed, the game is in decent shape. Much better then most of the other releases I've been a part off. In fact, I feel its more of a finished product then a beta.
  8. Nothing wring with that. As long as in the end the population is balanced and we get rid of excessive server queues.
  9. So I did a heroic with 3 SI (assassin dps, sorc heals and dps) and 1 jugg...but it made me wonder... Has anyone ran a flashpoint in a full SI group? Assassin Tank and DPS and Sorc Heals and DPS? I really want to do this now. Will try to get one of these pugs going over the weekend when I have time. What do you guys think? **That's a lot of UNLIMITED POWWWWWAAAAHHHHHHHH!**
  10. PUGS!!!! They can suck. Most ops and flashpoints i've done have been with my guild so I dont run into this problem that much *voice comms ofcourse*. The few pugs that I've done haven't been that bad. An occasional OHCRAP moment is necessary to keep us healers on our toes.
  11. Between you, your bro, and your companions you can probably do flashpoints that are 1-2 lvls below you easy. Quick way to farm gear and XP. Those blues sell for an easy 3-4k on the GTN.
  12. What do you base that statement on? I'm a 24 Sorc speced into FULL heals atm. I solo HEROIC 2+ that are only 2 lvls below me. As far as doing quests....I blow though them. I do not feel slow, gimped, underpowered in any way. With my KV out I can pretty much kill anything. Right before server shut down tonight I took down a lvl 21 (or 22 dont remember) champion solo in about 2 minutes. I'm actually ahead of most of my guildmates.
