  1. I'm sure Huttball is fun with a coordinated team ( read: premade). Not so much in a PUG. Even with a premade there are so many annoying aspects of the map that I'd probably still hate it.
  2. You're playing an Imperial, which is generally better populated than Republic on all servers. I've played two characters to 50 on one server, and another to 42 as of this writing on another more populated one. On the first server, I leveled both of those characters to 50 doing maybe 2-3 FPs between them, and skipping pretty much all the heroics. Why? Because of a lack of people at my level to group with. A lot of people are experiencing this. I pretty much ditched both those characters in favor of a better populated server and the difference has been noticable. Many more FPs ( but I'm still not doing all the FPs that are appropriate for my level), and more heroics. My play time, as with many people, is limited. I'm not going to spend it spamming /1. My new server is night and day difference compared to my old one. The economy is still garbage, but having more people on Taris during offpeak hours than my old server had in fleet during peak hours, is pretty significant. Not to mention, you're level 19, those two lower level FPs are generally ran quite a bit. At higher levels, it's a totally different story. This is the issue many people are having, and why a LFG tool is being talked about.
  3. Didn't see any mention of it in the patch notes. If not, I guess my sub is up in 5 days anyways.
  4. I've read that sticky. Just because someone broke down how it's supposed to work, doesn't mean that it works that way consistently. I too have been stunned when I shouldn't have. The system sounds plausible on paper, but it fails in practice.
  5. Good PVPers will continue to destroy people they play against. "Good" PVPers that will no longer have gear to carry them will be the ones getting destroyed. Don't really see the issue here.

    Is SWTOR dying?

The only reason this game has done as well as it has thus far is because it's Star Wars. If it was "Random Sci-Fi MMO Number 23415 by Bioware" it would have tanked already. As far as totally new games, I'd agree with previous posters and say Rift had a much better showing.
  7. It's pretty simple: Bioware wasn't thinking when they implemented CC in this game. They obviously haven't been paying any attention to MMO PVP in the last, say, 10 years. People generally don't like sitting there helpless while their character gets stomped on. Before all the "pros" come in and say "L2resolve" I'll say this: what good does waiting for the "right" time to use your CC breaker do, when you're dead before that time arrives? Or, you're knocked off a catwalk/ramp, and have to run all the way back around to get back in the fight( which most likely will be over by the time you get there)? Maps like Huttball only highlight the horrible implementation of CC in this game.
  8. For all it's CC, I find myself being able to actually play my character more in WoW than I do in SWTOR. That's kind of sad.
  9. With a guild run team, as your sig implies, no doubt. Running around critting people's faces off with a healer attached to your hip isn't really skill. Do that without a healer, while still maintaining effective pressure on objectives and I'll be impressed.
  10. For the love of all that is holy, having a crew member pop up during combat, and obscuring a third of my screen needs to go. Why they can't quietly inform me via yellow text ( like when they finish crafting something), is beyond me.
  11. In a coordinated premade, with a healer attached to their hip, anyone can be an unstoppable force, not just JKs/Warriors. The problem comes when it's a PUG, and you can't rely on constant heals. In that regard, ranged has it a lot more easy, being able to find a perch and tab-target their way to big numbers with little to no effort. The same cannot be said for JKs/Warriors. Pillar humping/hiding so as to not be a focus target may keep you alive, but it doesn't protect or take objectives.
  12. So, can I call you a coward every time you use a CC ability, or your CC breaker? Because clearly if you're not man enough to take a beating while standing there helpless, you're a coward.
  13. Now you're just trolling. All I see is BH/Comms and Sorc/Sages with the odd melee thrown in.
  14. I'd just stick to trying to balance the overall PVP than trying to balance it down to small comps. Bioware is having a hard enough time as it is.
  15. Right, because 6 melee can instagib you from 30m ...oh wait. Working as intended.
