Uh,,.no. You want to turn this game into a Diablo,..socketed gear, items turned into another item once you reach a certain threshold,..changing stats on gear or whatever,....man this is going right down the road of Diablo. I see no reason to implement this in an mmo....we all can go play Diablo 3 or Path of Exile if we want what you asking

First toon i made in this game was a tank...Jedi Guard,..full defense tree all way to the top,...I leveled him up that way,..slow but got there and know my class cold inside and out,..however,...I solo him....I refuse to group in this game This game has the worst community I ever experienced in my 12 yrs of mmo gaming,...it's horrendous. People in this game just want to dps down every flashpoint and not coordinate with a tank and healer. I posted a thread about this very subject,....remove tanks , healers and dps....the trinity system simply does not work in pick up groups in mmo's Worst group experience of any mmo I ever played so I solo every class now

I have same problem with Tatooine...too much golden yellow color,..it blinds your eyes in some areas,..and yes I agree Hoth is the worse when it comes to snow blindness,...you have no choice but to turn down the brightness level or wear sunglasses while playing

lol at the OP,..welcome to mmo's where your guild leader or group leader can be 8 yrs old and have complete control whether you get booted from group or from guild. I would much rather have a server for 30 + yr olds I just don't see how you could ever verify this age restriction unless one day we have a microchip installed in our body and the microchip is used to scan a device required to log onto the Internet,...this would also solve the identity theft problem Anonymity is coming to an end on the Internet soon,..I really believe this. I asked for a vertical force jump on DAY ONE,..when this game launched I noticed that immediately.....no vertical jump...***.....it's unforgiveable that this game does not have it. I can only hope that they put this into the game further down the road available for every class Imagine Fleet and everybody bouncing around like kangaroos,...now combine that with all the mounts on Fleet....OH MY GOD lol. You know you look around the zones inside buildings and on some of these planets for example while in Coruscant and you see many levels above your head with walkways and stuff,....it's like they have planned ahead for this sort of thing I don't think it is entirely out of the question that they won't put in a force vertical jump at some point,...my guess is that they will but it will be a Cartel Perk possibly for $20 and available for every class The OP probably played city of heroes like me and had the super jump which was awesome,..maybe the best travel power ever created in an mmo or any game. City of Heroes had a visible wall boundary that kept you from going any further similar to swtor and the exhaustion zones

The trinity system only works if you well coordinated as a group and using Teamspeak / Ventrillo,...and last I checked Pick Up Groups are not well coordinated so the system fails 99% of the time. Again I will repeat,...remove tank, heals and dps as they are no longer viable in mmo gaming,..not in todays mmo that is mostly populated by casual gamers The trinity system fails most of the time it's put into action,..proof of that is the pick up groups which is 99% of the gaming in mmo's. Nobody will ever convince me otherwise,..I know I am right and dead on accurate about this

I don't like pvp and I don't like grouping,...I like to solo mmo's and do pve content and there are MILLIONS of people like me who feel same way. Forcing me to pvp to get pve gear is DUMB...and I wish I knew the CEO's name of Bioware because I would write a letter to him / her to fire the Dev Supervisor who authorized this There are employees at Bioware who are pvp 'ers and they piss on the pve crowd any chance they get. Any kind of pvp should be OPTIONAL and last I checked ,..I chose a server that was for guess what,..here it comes...PvE

I play other mmo's,..secret world, wow, gw2, rift, dc universe online, lotro online, age of conan and none of them have been disconnecting me like this game,..none of them. It started today....lag, rubber banding...disconnect or screen freezes. One time i was on GTN just surfing around and screen froze lol Been playing Diablo 3 today too..which is online and no problems. It's NOT OUR END!

Its,..2013 and I think we all can agree something needs to change. I am talking about the old, worn out and tired system of Tank, DPS, and Heal. It really is obsolete in this day and age,...everyone...EVERYONE no matter what class you are ....wants to beat on the bad guy,..they want to slay,..ok.....they don't want to follow rules in fights...they just want to beat on stuff and watch stuff die This notion that you have to have dps, heal and tank in fights is old school...it's past its time Ask anyone...ANYONE...and they will tell you...they just want to Tank n Spank and get hell outta there and collect the commendations. In and Out..simple..fast and done As it is now,...what do people do in flashpoints? Lol...they skip trash and go directly to Boss and kill for the phat lewt. Spacebar commandos and don't you dare listen to the story...rush to the Boss...get your objective and done Dps fights stuff that the tank isn't even fighting ROFL...healer is healing the dps'rs instead of the tank ROFL...tank is has no clue what aggro is ROFL.....i mean it is total chaos in mmo gaming now days. It is rare to find a coordinated group in traditional tank, heal and dps roles working like a swiss watch Recommendation: 1. Give everyone a natural heal buff over time duration 2. Give everyone heavy armor 3. Give everyone an equal amount of dps 4. Get rid of need and pass and make all loot drop particular to your class and automatically go into your inventory If you disagree with this post....see the thread titled....Don't Get Discouraged by Jerks in Pug's, FP's and Op's. No, no no no! If they make this account wide then I will quit the game. I got alot of money in real life,..I want to have things others don't have in this game,..it makes me feel special. If I see all these pod racers running around,..then it has a negative effect on my self esteem Please Bioware,..come out with more expensive cool items for cash shop,..it's what distinguishes the rich elite- me,... from poor class low lifes. Look,..it's the state of mmo gaming now days,..people are generally just mean and nasty. It's why there has been a huge trend in soloing mmo's or multi-boxing,..so you don't have to put up with people behaving this way I never group anymore or do anything with anyone in mmo's...I solo it all

So much hate for many reasons but the primary reasons why there is so much hate are these : 1. Game is linear and not wide open like in Star Wars Galaxies,..many from SWG came here to play after it was shut down,.so they are very vocal here in the game and in the forums 2. Space combat is on rails - arcade style....turns alot of people off 3. the Generation gap...people from original star wars era vs the KOTOR crowd....these two camps are constantly butting heads. Bioware went with KOTOR for this game,...it's a direct knock off from KOTOR. The star wars crowd wanted a game more from the movies,..but because of copyrights and legal issues they couldn't do that...so we got the OLD Republic instead lol 4. Horrible customer service,..but this is understandable since so many play this game,...you could not pay me enough to be a customer service rep These are just a few reasons and there are many many more. I love this game,..I think it is great but wish it was more star wars from the movies but that's just not gonna happen. I wish we had flying mounts on the planets so we could explore things better Mount speed is horrendous...it needs increased speed by alot. Force Jump,..sure there is force leap,..but it's not quite the same now is it? Would love Force Jump in the game...so cool to jump up directly 20-30 feet

I agree with OP the game has come a long way,..some problems but overall it is a very good mmo,..maybe one of the best mmo values out there for the money
