  1. Reading about your playstyle and looking at your profile, you might be interested in the guild that I'm in - Elders of the Republic. Most guild members do their own thing but chat to each other in-game if they're feeling chatty. And of course, there are some organised and ad-hoc events for those who are interested. Check out their official thread here.
  2. I don't think you're in the minority - I believe that many people enjoyed it, but perhaps not enough to rush out and tell the world about it. The movie had some glaring flaws, but there were enough good parts (a couple of which were VERY good) that I would definitely call it enjoyable. Also...
  3. Aye, I'm one of the newbies who joined recently - still struggling to get my character geared up, but that didn't stop me having fun on this 16-player operation (which I hear is one of the hardest). The highlight of the night was when we were about to wipe, but the last person standing landed the killing blow on the boss just before he died, resulting in loud cheers from everyone on Discord. I think that hero was you Spin. It's nice to game with a group that doesn't throw tantrums or ragequit when things start going pear shaped. Instead, with a bit of patience and old fashioned trial and error, we figured out what worked and vanquished each of the bosses in succession. It has been a privilege to raid with you folks!
  4. For me, Solo was a reasonably enjoyable movie but failed to deliver any extended pulse pounding excitement. I felt that the actors did a good job portraying younger versions of characters that we know and love, but the story took way too long to build up some momentum. Visually, it was nice to compare the movie and SWTOR versions of Correlia. However, I don't know whether it was the director's choice or a faulty projector in my cinema, but much of the movie was way too dark to see anything! The Empire Strike Back A New Hope The Force Awakens Return of the Jedi The Last Jedi Solo The Phantom Menace Rogue One Revenge of the Sith Attack of the Clones
  5. It's a known bug that has been around for many years. An item's appearance can depend on whether you are on the Republic or Imperial side, and this can cause an outfit to change appearance in cutscenes.
  6. For those who have messaged me, thank you. The link in the website has indeed been updated and I've been able to join the discord channel as well as the guild. My first impressions are that this is a friendly bunch.
  7. The devs don't set the prices... supply and demand does. Sellers will always want to sell as high as they can and buyers always want to buy as low as they can. Where they meet somewhere in the middle is the market price.
  8. Just a simple question: If I set up a security key, do I need to use it every time I log in, or only when unusual activity is detected (e.g. new IP address)? Thanks!
  9. Hi, I'm new to SWTOR and this guild looks interesting. I 'd like to access your Discord server to drop in and say hello. However, the link on the website seems to be of older format. Could an invite be sent to me? Thanks! (And yes, I do meet the chronological requirements. )
  10. Hello, Lanceor from Sydney, Australia here. This is my obligatory first post. I'm a newbie to SWTOR, having discovered it a week ago after finishing KOTOR and searching for another game to scratch the Star Wars itch. Right now, I'm leveling up a classic Jedi Guardian (complete with beard and brown robes) on the Shatele Shan server and having fun figuring the game out and growing more fingers to access all the hotkeys. Coming as no surprise to anyone, I'm also a fan of the Star Wars movies. I'm old enough to have watched the original trilogy when they were first shown in cinemas. While not quite up to the standard of the originals, I also enjoyed all of the newer movies at least to some degree. Other than Star Wars, fans of the Elder Scrolls series or Elite: Dangerous might have interacted with me before. I've been very active in both of those communities at one stage or another. Looking forward to see some of you in-game, and may the Force be with you!
