Your economics are off. Price is a function of demand. If people are poor - like you claim - prices will not be high.

no reason to min/max dark/light.....in end game it wont really matter anyway. So play the story as you see fit

Why are people complaining that crafting dont yield items of awesomeness? What would happen if it did? I tell you what would happen! Then people would whine that "PvP or PvE is useless cause you can just craft better gear" In the end...this game is 3 weeks "old"....people whining about "BioWare promised crafting would be rewarding, but it ISNT!!!" - pleeeease....have some patience.
