  1. Thought the main reason for this not coming out on mac was because SW:TOR is built with Microsoft's Direct X framework and as such will not run on an Apple Mac OSX (bootcamp being the exception), that and Bioware would have to completely rebuild the game around OpenGL and the programming language that accompianies OSX, which would not only be expensive, but also quite impractical as they would technically have to patch and maintain 2 vastly different clients. To put it simply you cannot run Windows based software normally on an OSX system, just as you cannot run OSX software normally on a Windows OS system, as mentions bootcamp being an exception for Mac OSX users.
  2. I know right, I would pvp if there was any skill behind it, instead of as you say 'faceroll' to victory, kinda lame imo too. By the way nice Due South reference with your forum name
  3. This sounds to me like you rolled on a pve server levelled up and now want to go to a pvp server without having to put the work in again, I dunno but that seems kinda lazy to me, especially if this was what you were hoping you could do when you rolled on said pve server.
  4. The only time this would bother me is if I was paying for THEIR subscription, seeing as I'm not it does not really bother me. The main reason no one want to do much of anything atm is simply because a huge portion of the players are all DPS, what a lot of people are waiting for is Healers and CC classes, at least it seems like this from my perspective tbh. Anyways back on topic, as for what annoys me the most, why do the force users get recycled ships for each of their classes, I would love to see 8 unique ships in the game instead of 6, or even a system where your ship changes appearance a bit when you put new armor or guns and stuff on it.
  5. nah the OP is prolly just caught off-guard since the servers seem to have come down nearly a full hour earlier than Bioware said they would.
  6. Really i'm in the EU and player on the EU servers and I was given the free 30days, imo I don't deserve the free 30days over the next person, I think everyone who has had a constant subscription since launch day should have got the bonus game time, instead of only the accounts that have level 50 character. Also the way Bioware worded this promotion is really a slap in the face of the loyal playerbase.
  7. i suspect they are UK based as our sub over here is £8.99 without egtting any VAT added onto our sub price. tbh though only one company i have used before has the beachballs to charge tax ontop of it's subs, and thats cryptic, they do it as £8.99+vat=£10.56 which makes all of their online mmo games the most expensive i have ever seen tbh, and they even dump on us with the cash store....sorry i went off on a orange tangent......or was that a blue nonagon.....
  8. nope each security key vendor has different stock, as far as i know there is a vendor on both fleet stations, one for each faction on the ilum docking station and a couple exclusive to each faction of a couple of other planets, but i cannot remember which ones they are, sorry.
  9. I think it is over there, -points to a dusty unused box with some blue text and a orc on the front.-
  10. Guessing you did not play swg then?, that games jouney times made journey's in this game look like a gentle stroll through the local park. But i would welcome bigger planets in this game, but only if they manage to pack the areas full of quests and roaming mobs and such.
  11. no detailed patch notes you say, maybe you should open your eyes and check here http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes
  12. Seeing as the longspur stap is not a CE only speeder, i think that would be a bit on the unfair side for all the digital deluxe buyers who also have the speeder too, now if they had a store that had a minimum requirement of being a dde buyer to buy things from the vendor and put the different versions in there that would be fine by me. But back to the OP's question no the longspur does not level up when you buy the upgraded speeder licenses, which is fairly unfortunate tbh.
  13. if you have the dde version of the game you don't need to buy it and it is claimable on every character you will ever create, if you have the stands edition of the game then you will have to pay 1 million credits per character you want to access the vip lounge with.
  14. Seems there is someone else on these forums that shares my view on this title and medal. It is not the hardcore players or the casuals that ruin games, it's the 'me, me, me' and the 'now, now, now' crowds that do this all by themselves, anyways i was originally going to say at least someone has a firm grasp on reality and does not seem to expect everything to be done yesterday. Hope your life's ambitions pan out for you in the future.
  15. this sounds like you are looking for an excuse to stay with this game, if that's the case all the extra game time in the world won't make you enjoy this game. gimme free time and i luv you long time, which in reality you don't enjoy the time but you would stay here and whine and complain about every little thing that in your opinion is wring with the game. this is not a personal attack at you even though it may come across as one, it is a generalization of peoples attitudes in other games i have seen when they give free time out to try and stop the quitters from quitting.
