  1. indeed. The story was very different as I said above.. and loved it… And a change of scenery was refreshing… but the endgame lacks and the scaling is wrong.
  2. Yeah even something along the lines of Spore's space combat…
  3. yeah end game was part of my concern but my 3rd point was the biggest for me… Even in DC online (dreadful game) have a better sense of scale. And I do realise that todays the day they drop us an extra OP FP and WZ… but its not enough
  4. Lemme start by giving you a bit of background: I left wow (like many of you) after being bored after 5 years of raiding and immature players and just wanting something different… I joined SWTOR with a sense of excitement and enthusiasm and I was really pleasantly surprised. The story was great and it took a while to get out of my old NUKE PEW PEW wow playing to standing back and enjoying the story. My guild was large at first and shrank fast so we merged with another guild. I put this down to the initial surge of players dying down...(was bound to happen). One thing I must say is the people playing SWTOR are great… Ive never longed for the vote to kick button like I did in wow . The story was fantastic.. I would be the one who refused to skip the dialogue in flashpoints. At level 50 my new guild started to die aswell… And Ive stopped playing for a bit. I've watched negative posts on these forums and hated it, Ive been positive all the way along… I knew this game wouldnt be that different to WOW and that the story is the main focus….but somethings changed. I felt a bit disheartened the other day thinking about SWTOR… why didnt I feel like playing? I can put it down to three things: 1. The game isnt unique enough. The story which this game prides itself on, which sets it apart from other games, dries up at level 50… You embark on your epic adventure… and it stops at level 50 and you're left with PVP and PVE both of which I enjoy, but the game feels very different at level 50 from the rest of the game. 2. The PVP and the PVE at level 50 feel very broken, theres not enough to keep you entertained. I love Alderaan and thoroughly enjoyed the ops but lack of choices in PVP and the imbalance and the broken encounters in PVE quickly lose their enjoyment. 3. This last one is a big point for me .. and one difficult to explain… Scale! The devs harked on about Scale and sense of scale in this game. But I feel its lacking. The planets are discrete chunks, closed rooms if you like, which you travel to via a repetitive cinematic. In other games (yes like Wow) the world in which you play is relatively continuous… You can start out in Moonglade and get on your little horsey and ride all the way to Tanaris if you felt like it.. and youd come across several people on the way ganking questing and adventuring (and killing boars). The closed nature of the worlds with no space in between them makes every planet a separate instance with no connection between them. Just vast empty rooms with few people along the way… they have taken the MM out of the MMORPG. Im not a wow fan boy and I wont play that game either anymore… I'm not here to whine.. I hope the devs take these points on board. I may be back later when the game has had more chance to develop… i do realise its in its early life and I hope they fix more things which the game lacks. What do you guys think? (Lemme be the first to say QQ, cool story bro, can I have your stuff?, Wow fanboy, see you in 1.2, TLDR, Wall of text crits you for 12k )
  5. Darth Maul was invented thousands of years after these characters… Maybe DARTH MAUL copied them! xxdarthmaulxx is the original and one true master of the force. On a serious note… it will make it far more pleasurable killing them all on the republic side.
  6. Do your daily quests on Ilum and Belsavis.. you will be able to upgrade your mods in your Orange gear very quickly. The daily heroic 2 on each planet each give you a mod and the rest can be bought form the vendor on each of those planets. You should then be good enough to do the hardmode flashpoints.. I recommend taral V and Maelstrom prison first … there's a daily and weekly quest for hardmodes on the fleet, Each last boss in every hardmode drops one Columi piece (tier 2) and stuff to buy Tionese (tier 1). The daily and weekly quests also give you badges for Tier 2 as well as Tier 1. Also once youve done the ilum and belsavis dailes you should be ok for normal mode ops… that'll gain you tier 2 from each boss. Welcome to the grind . Good luck
  7. She wont when I cheat on her for Aric Jorgan in a future patch. Cant wait to see the look on her face. "Sir theres a 96% chance that you're now batting for the other team. And a 98.3% chance that Im leaving you"
  8. I think its more fun this way… If it said exactly what youre gonna say I'd find it boring… Click 1. For the Republic! "For the Republic!" seems a bit dull.
  9. cool I'll let Elara know.. She can swoon in my boosted manliness.
  10. First of all… Im enjoying Swtor. Haters gonna hate. Not perfect but far from fail. My question is about the legacy races in 1.2. So far it has been stated that if you level a char to 50 you can (provided you have enough legacy) play that race as other classes/factions. What about us humans? My trooper level 50 is Human… Will I unlock anything special other than a race which is available for all classes anyway? If anyone knows or you have any thoughts/comments post below… (BTW this thread is about humans… trolls need not reply )
  11. Surely the point of enjoying PVP is to actually enjoy PVP.... ok youve nuked your way to getting all the gear you need... Great! Now go and play and enjoy the fun... Get groups up and destroy the opposing faction... THere is more in store for PVP .. but you gonna have to wait like a few weeks... Chill and go kill some peeps in your amazing gear
  12. I think that "Complain about everything on the forums" will be the most common answer to your question.
