  1. I think there literally is only one thing that can bring that euphoria back that you are talking about: Virtual MMORPGS. Example: Sword Art Online (anime) Though that is years away, I truly believe that only those types of games can bring back that "excitement and wonder"
  2. Any ideas how many levels this new bar will be? Maybe 50 lvls? A new title every ten levels, but lvld faster than our legacy bar I'd assume
  3. So coming in the future is this thing called Galactic Reputation. Basically the more side quests you do involving a faction (republic, empire, gree, voss...etc) , the more reputation you build which in turn earns you titles ( Newcomer, Hero, Legend, etc...). What is interesting is that in the notes, they said that the Galactic Reputation will tie with your character's Legacy. Currently my Legacy lvl is 41 and I am positive there are people that are higher than me. My question is, will all the work we have done for our Legacy in reaching our levels already count toward this new system? In other words, will we already have these titles unlocked? I am guessing Legacy lvl 25 is "Legend" status so would people who are 25 and above already have unlocked all of the titles? Is that going to be the case or are we going to have to start off as Newcomers and work our way up again to get Legend status? Then the question arises for people with max legacy....how will it work for them if they really have no where left to lvl it to? 4. I'm not saying this everything that's going to be implemented this year in the future. What I'm saying is most likely these are the biggest things that are going to be implemented this year. Mini games are a pretty big step. They probably would have mentioned something about future mini games to look forward to if they were coming soon.
  5. It was something to do besides the main quest. It was fun and it made you a good amount of credits. I say it was a integral part of Kotor because of the Taurus mission. There were so many other ways we could have saved Bastila but it had to be a swoop race. BioWare did that for a reason...they wanted us to play it at least once. It was important to them. Why it's not in this game and barely even mentioned besides some little area on taris is beyond me.
  6. How would it be boring? PvP racing, probably with hazards and stuff to throw you off. Not on rails.... Simple, WASD movement scheme. The thing that comes to mind is Mario kart but I pretty sure they can do much better than that
  7. I agree. I would sp rather do this than just hang around the fleet waiting for queues.
  8. I agree. It would be a huge undertaking, but in the end I think it would pay off for sure. And I have to disagree, many people I think would play pazaak. I think the people who currently PvP at 50 would definitely play it in their free time instead of just doing nothing on the fleet, as well as casuals who are less inclined to PvP. Pazaak is a casual, fun game for everyone! It would be popular!
  9. They do that with hutball already...but its not that common. I think the normal games with fair players could be really fun. Imagine the Star Wars Episode 1 scene. Though the movie sucked, wasn't that scene awesome?
  10. I take it you're new here... BioWare ALWAYS says that! That was there goal for SOOO many things last year, and barely anything made their deadlines. In fact, almost everything they planned for EARLY 2011 was spread all throughout the year. What you read, is most likely what you are going to get this year. But who knows, a lot of BioWare from last year is gone...maybe the new team is better with making deadlines....
  11. I've had Kotor and Kotor 2 since the day both of those came out (big star wars fan). I absolutely loved those in the game and THATS why I'm so frustrated that those games aren't in this one. I mean come on, Swoop Racing was a big part of KOTOR...it should be here! The literal only mention to swoop racing this game has is a little area in Taris that's run down like the rest of the planet. Did the races die or something over the years?
  12. The link I provided was an address from BioWare to us telling us what the plan is for this year. Usually with BioWare, they either a) fulfill everything they say they are going to do or b) fulfill everything they say they are going to do while not doing some things here or there ( promised SGR but didn't happen (last year)) . The point of this thread was that BioWare didn't mention ANYTHING about mini games in the address to us about what to expect later this year. What they said is going to come is most likely going to be exactly what comes, no more and no less. (Except for Cathar, that wasn't mentioned either but it's coming for sure) The closest thing we got to new mini games are the mention of new PvP areas...but I'm making a strong assumption that those are either a) new huttball maps or b) another turret defense gametype.
  13. as a new PvP game type with spectator mode with customizable pods (much like gear) would you play it? If this was put in its own, separate queue, would you queue up for this more than the current PvP game queue? All you have to say is Yes or No. I'm generally curious about how many people would want this in the game.
  14. So reading the state of the game post I've got to say I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the changes and updates that are coming but there is one thing that has been needed in this game since day 1 and still there has been no mentions what so ever of them....mini games! I'm talking Pazaak, Sabaac, Pod Racing, Swoop Racing, and everything in between! The closest thing to a mini game this game has is Hutball and honestly, in my opinion we need more variety of games like that. No more Capture the flag or turret hold game types...something different and fresh. I'm honestly surprised that in a post that was made to kind of show us what is most likely coming in the future, mini games weren't mentioned! I've said it before and I'll say it again....BioWare, there is no going wrong with adding different mini game types and variety into your game. The Star Wars Universe is full of great options that have already been made..you don't have to do the extra work and come up with a new game. Pod Racing, Pazaak, Sabaac, and Swoop Racing (if made pvp and with a possible spectator mode) would be not only amazing but would probably keep many more subscribers and if done well enough, bring more people into the game. But in conclusion you can say I'm a bit disappointed there are currently no plans on mini games for the future.
