  1. That is not true. The fee prevents that on it's own, the limit has nothing to say there. And even if there was no fee, the thing that limits it is the amount of time a return-item mail will stay for before deletion.
  2. No one is saying the population should be constant across the entire week, but it should be possible to play the game and also play with other people no matter where you are form and what circumstances limit your playtime It is a valid concern, it means players who are restricted to playing at that time for whatever reason are essentially stuck playing a single-player game(disregarding the fact that large part of SWtor feel like a single-player game) There was a time when I was stuck playing at dead periods when playing WoW, but there was still always people around. This is not the case for me anymore, but I still think those who are in the situation should be able to play and enjoy the game. Not for US servers, no. I don't look at them because I play from Europe and on European servers. But for European servers a significant portion of them are "light" or at the very most "standard" at peak times. I only see a handful of "heavy" population labels during a normal week
  3. I can't see how this would work at all, it is literally just another way to launch the game. What I think might be happening is essentially the placebo effect, nothing has changed, but your perception has. If f you are experiencing low FPS and you start a new, fresh client and look at the FPS straight away you will probably get higher fps because you aren't doing anything. And once you have established the idea in your head that this works it's really hard to change As far as actual empirical evidence, I bet FPS and performance in general is unchanged
  4. There's a lot more to war that army vs army slugfests.
  5. Why would people not be playing at that time? (and clearly, at least 73 people are) Obviously it is not peak times, but it's still a valid concern. Even at peak times the vast majority of servers are pretty lowly populated.
  6. Good: The event fits in star wars, doesn't feel out of place and it moves players out of the fleet for the dailies. Bad: If you start late, you can't finish the set. I'm currently in this situation. I was leveling a new character for the first many days, and I didn't see anything on the event anywhere until I got infected on the fleet completely at random. I COULD have gotten the entire set, but i wasn't on tatooine yet, and Now I'm stuck with only being able to complete up to the legs part, which is completely ********, the set is nothing without the chest-piece, that should be the very first thing you get. a partial set without boots, belt and gloves still looks *right*, a partial set missing the chest looks retarded. I'm holding on to the pieces in the hopes of getting a chance to complete it, but if not I'm going to delete it, a partial set looks stupid. I really hope they repeat this event, The idea behind it is cool, the implementation and all of the quests(that I have so far received) work well and fit within the game well. But because of the dailies' structure I consider the event as a whole a failure, and I would have even if I, myself, had managed to get my entire set, because I know a number of people other than myself who can't devote that many days in a row to the game and thus would never be able to get it even if they had known about the event ahead of time.
  7. I have always found it silly that Lucas won't name Yoda's species, it clearly *is* a species, as multiple members exist of it, leave the details a mystery, but to not have a name is just stupid, to draw a parallel to the real world, we have no clue what dark matter is, but we still bloody named it. George is just being silly

    LS or DS?

This game, along with nearly every other game that has a morality split has lied when it said it was going to be "different" in it's choices. "Good" is still a completely detatched-from-reality ignorant fool "Evil" is still a maniacal murderous sociopath
  9. defending bad game design is borderline idiotic.
  10. Why is the burst argument even considered? A mirror ability should be a mirror ability. And a skill that does damage instantly is better, flat out, there is no two ways about it. It is true that delayed damage gives you a shorter time window in which the damage comes. But since the rock is floating in the air long before the damage, the window of opportunity to react is completely unchanged. Shock on the other hand you CAN use to burst better with, because it is instant, if you put it at the end of a streak of skills it will do more damage without giving them more time to react. If you stretch the time which you are analyzing one GCD beyond the point of the skills, there is no difference. And then project is clearly inferior, damage that comes later is always worse than instant.
  11. project and throw are synonyms, you can make the same argument in reverse because they literally mean the same thing
  12. In a trailer you need something visual, most force powers in the game are essentially copies of one another, even if the effects are different, and some just don't have a very interesting visual side to them. To give you an example, all the healing abilities are essentially the same: cast something, green light. no point in showing them all. The force powers without distinct visual effects also make no sense to repeat, if all you do is cast for a moment, and instead of green light on a friendly it's red or purple light on an enemy, there's no point to show them all.
  13. All objectives can be distilled into very simple parts Kill Collect Travel and additionally instead of a completion condition there could be a failure condition, like if the NPC dies in the escort quest or the timer runs out etc. There really is no other part to put into a mission, the only thing you can do is layer them to create complex objectives, but complexity isn't fun, at least not inherently. They can be just as fun, sure, but that's to do with countless factors other than complexity.
  14. There are two things to look at, Your HP pool compared to another person's HP pool, which is essentially how much endurance you have, if it differs greatly and you have less than most people, that's your problem. Secondly, armor only stops portions of certain kinds of damage, the damage that is killing you might not be affected by armor. Now, if you figure that out and still have problems, it is most likely because you are taking damage you shouldn't be taking, you are trying to tank while you aren't equipped for it, or you are standing in the bad things
