  1. Oh? This you? False equivocation. "whole market" is not stricly "taxes elsewhere". Plus see my PM to help you with my sarcasm directed to the devs in that second statement you quoted. I'll also leave this thread. Farewell
  2. Then you are wasting your time and my time. The topic, since the beginning, is one item. No one talked about the whole market before you came in.
  3. Totally wrong. Inflation absolutely requires demands for service or good that are higher than supplies, people being ready to pay more to acess what is available for the goods and services, and suppliers being willing to increase their prices as much as the buyers are willing to pay. Increasing the total quantity of money into the environement "can be" a cause for some entity to go on a spending spree causing general inflation (like what many of our governements did in the past few years, with spending programs to affect a large spectrum of goods and services), but it is "not absolutely required" for inflation to occur. For example, even without the spending spree of some of our governments during covid, a major factor for some of the inflation back then was the broken supply chain (too much demand for what the world could produce and deliver then), and the extra costs for sanity measures required by covid. In the end, it is always demand being stronger than offer. Money supply is only a contributing factor. Encryption plans may stay at same price or even go down in short-mid-long term, if players start not giving a F about acquiring them from the market.
  4. Two weeks in, I think I like it (removing the reputation track). As you say, it does remove the FOMO feeling I had in doing GS activities long after completing 100th level during previous GS, in order to accumulate all the tokens I could, on all servers. Now, with 160sih points on each servers after two weeks, I feel like I might be able to finish this GS in 10 weeks and just not give a F about GS activities once I reach level 100 this time, because any more activities will earn nothing, so pointless to do (unless some good CQ points attached to them (like a WB kill present in both GS and CQ objectives, but I'll do it for CQ, not for GS). Also for me, with the nerf to the ground of the CQ points for reputation tokens, I'm just not going to try to grind to get 500k on each of my guilds, on each servers, like I did in between GS5 and GS6. So long extra servers, you won't see me populate you once this GS is completed. More time for me to maybe refocus on one server and just do enough on The Forge for a conquest while casualy playing the stories I like (from Origin stories up to Nathema Conspiracy, not the crap since 6.0 and 7.0). And with all that more time outside the game with summer coming. I'm also currently playing my second account (prefered) to see how I could fare by only subscribing one month here and there in the future (to collect the subscribers' GS rewards), instead of the 6 months at a time I do since I started playing in 2018. So far, it feels like it would be another big stress relief, as it can (barely but still) do 40 points per week (even on Shae Vizla with one guildless toon at level 21), enough to complete GS. Then wait, maybe, until a real great story drops to sub longterm again. So in summary, less grind because less playtime because less give-a-f because I'm not going to make up for the anihilation of rep tokens. Sincerely, really Eric, thank you.
  5. I really wish people would quit using this ignorant argument because it shows you don't know what you're talking about. There was no reason to nerf it, period. In order to generate that token for the "2-3 minute mission" I still had to play actual content and do work to get the token on the toon. This. Plus, who in their right mind ever asked their boss for a paycut?
  6. Less encryption plans = rarity = higher prices on the GTN. Devs creating inflation, again. They'll have to punish the players for this and add some new taxes elsewhere (won't take the blame themselves).
  7. 6th Galactic Season where we have to go to the Black Hole. Can't you finally move yourself and reduce the respawn time for the final clicky for Criminal Crackdown? Shouldn't be too hard to do, you've done plenty others. Get movin! Please ?
  8. So far on all the other servers first login on this 4th day, I usually got 3800 CQ points, instead of the 9500. But again, should this CQ objective really trigger in the first place?
  9. I don't think the CQ "Galactic Season : Progression" item should be triggered when login in on the 4th day of the week, even though we get 8 junk plans. Here, I login with a character on a server (first character login for that server) and I get the notification on top of screen and in chat that I got the Progression CQ, yet my CQ total points for that character remain at 0 (first login of the week for this toon). On other servers, I sometimes got 3800ish CQ points.
  10. In short: "Because we did a poor job with the GTN backend, we have to create new gears that fit the GTN, because, you know, we have no clue how to retro-fit the previous gears to work on the GTN (or are too lazy to go through the list of old equipments, or have no clue how to make a script for bulk changes)." You still could have made the new gear (bind on equip) sellable to NPC vendors. And the legacy bind deconstructable for the jawa junks and stuff. The i270-320 drops were only 500ish credits (a big nerf already compared to the 250ish and 306 of previous versions (10k-25k credits), nothing that can increase inflation like your own mistakes that allowed exploits for credits in the past. But at least they (i270-320) could be deconstructed, so I assume most people deconstructed them instead of selling them. By getting the jawa junk, we could buy stuff at the jawa vendors, resell on the GTN, or use them to craft something to sell on the GTN. The more jawa junk people had, the lower price on the GTN of the items, because less rarity. By removing deconstructable drops, YOU ARE CREATING RARITY AND INFLATION.
  11. And the wave sound of the Copero SH persist all over the universe... and even after login in other servers...
  12. This being said... Thanks for finally fixing the social vendors on Coruscant and DK (I imagine, didn't checked yet for DK). Kira looks fantastic in this robe.
  13. Just tried on a fresh new toon, and they also get those worthless i8 gear instead of the usual level progressing drop. Might not sound much for the 12 year old multi-billionaire players, but for new players, it can be a big deal for unlocking their inventory, perks, or even something as simple as an outfit. I guess, the devs made their analysis, and found there is pretty much zero new players coming (and sticking) to the game, so that it was not a big deal for the company if whatever few new players suffer their economic austerity.
  14. Imagine if THIS had been revealed and explained in the livestream And the Coppero SH a surprise upon login today. All the questions about the new junk vs old GS reward track would have been mitigated, minimizing a ton of frustration and confusion, and you'd have receive a ton of "thank you" message for the Coppero SH. You guys knows nothing about communication. Plus, hidding the reputation CQ points, bad, bad, bad communications. Every stream, when you say "we want to communicate more/better", I just don't trust you, and then comes D day and the result confirms it: your words where indeed, worth nothing. * "you" means Broadsword
  15. I'm out of forum reaction to put a like, just want to add: Not just how to get the jawa scrap, but also what we can actually buy from the jawa vendors, that are the only place we can acquire them, and are still required for some craftings. If jawa scraps goes down the drain, how do we get the other mats?
