  1. And I fully agree with you on this point. I guess I was thinking more of the ... erm ... theoretical, archetypical Imperial Stormtrooper as he has been envisioned by the higher ranks of the Imperial military... or so.
  2. Indeed. I'm only level 26 right now, but so far I'm surprised how good the story is. I thought the republic stories would be a bit boring, but I actually want to know how this will end.
  3. That is correct, but it seems unlikely that this had any influence on the name of the Imperial stormtoopers. The name of the SA was derived from the military shock troops from the First World War. They were called Stoßtruppen (shock troops) or Sturmtruppe (assault troops) without differentiation. So if we have a selected group of soldiers with excellent battlefield skills from 1916/1918 called Sturmtruppen and a huge group of half-civilian thugs without any special skills from the 1920/30s to choose from - I think it is clear where the original inspiration came from. Additionally, the SA-men were not called "stormtrooper" (Sturmtruppler), but "assault man" (Sturmmann), so this makes very little sense. The next objection could be that the SA would fit better to the whole "totalitarian regime" metaphor, but the German Stosstruppen fit there as well - the often cited "Prussian Militarism" is an important aspect of the SW Empire and its irrelevant wether the inspiration for this militarism was centered on the Kaiser or the Führer.
  4. Well said, FilthyNwah - I totally agree. I play my Juggernaut completely DS, assuming that he chose to really embrace the DS no matter what concrete situtation is at hand - in order to achieve Sith greatness. But that's just kind of a role-play-reasoning, nothing more. For the same reason, I play my Sage completely LS. It is interssting to follow both paths consequently, but it's also kind of boring since every choice is already written in stone. Therefore, storywise I like my Sniper the best. Because I see his role as a pragmatic ... problem-solver, he simply chooses freely from case to case. This gives him a much more faceted aspect, although my LS and DS points are both mediocre.
  5. I was disappointed when I played Hammer Station for the first time. The only FPs I played before were Esseles and Black Talon. Both had interesting stories, different choices and an overall feeling of being "in" something. Hammer Station was just slashing from A to B - like an typical instance in WoW, for example. Since I'm only level 20 now, my question is: Are the FPs to come more story-driven like Esseles or more braindead slashorgies like Hammer Station?
