  1. i don't think it's gonna be game changinf, whatever it is, because from the phrasing, it seems to affect only subscribers. A game changing feature would also affect F2P and preferred players. I think it's gonna be some kind of subscription rewards, like an in game vanity items.
  2. actually, i though the most used word in america was "whatever" During my study in USC, it was in every mouth.
  3. don't have that problem at all. make sure to focus weakest enemy first, then work your way up to the strongest. The idea is to reduce incoming DPS fast. if you have incapacitating ability like stun, choke or anything, use it. Often, it's better to single target DPS to melt enemy pack fast to a manageable size, rather than just AOE. With AOE, enemy just live to long and some DPS players might just die from having the aggro of the full pack because there AOE is stronger Also, even DPS have potent defensive cooldown, and can tank for a limited time, never hesitate to use a defensive cooldown. Finally, if you have the aggro and all your defensive move are on cooldown, use an aggro drop, and let the mob go to another DPS with higher health.
  4. have you tried to get the base specialist to rank 5, and get the buff at the start of the star fortress. It make the run really easy, even in heroic. I mean your tank character have more than 100k HP and your DPS is through the roof with the buff. Walk in the park. To get the specialist to rank 5, a few planet heroic to get the lockbox should suffice.
  5. You forgot in mom basement. Way to go with the stereotypes. Why do you feel obligagted to mock physical appearance which you certainly don't know and very likely completely wrong? Is it because you can't accept someone criticier your gameplay?
  6. By proving grounds, i was thinking of something like this this is the DPS proving ground, there is also a tanking and healing proving grounds it has cap on item level so better equipment won't help you, your stats will be standardized all buff are provided, flask and potion (stim and adrenal) aren't allowed it has wave of enemy. It's timed so a minimal DPS is required. you have 30 seconds to defeat a wave depending on the difficulty (bronze, silver or gold), you have 3, 5 or 10 waves it has single target, 2-3 targets and 20 targets waves it has area on ground to avoid (banana) and large orange spheres to kite while maintaining dps it requires to interupt a healer that heal for full (need to interrupt to meet the timer) it has priority target switch (a banchee that explode in 10 seconds, failing the wave) it has positioning, some enemy can only be attacked from the back it has burst phase where enemy take reduce damage most of the time and increase damage for a short period, where you should pop all your cooldown it does teach you the basic of PVE (dps, kiting, avoiding getting hit by stuff, interrupting, switching target, using offensive cooldown) you need at least silver to be able to use the group finder alternatively, it also has an infinite wave mode, for fun. Waves are becoming harder and harder. it grant achievement and title if you reach wave 20, 30.
  7. it's easy to avoid to be knocked off the platorm, just make sure you are not fighting on the edge or face the plateform, not the edge, to be bump towards the middle of the plateform.
  8. i don't work for bioware, or EA, not i know anyone there. I don't know what is there method to process this type of data. But yeah, since they ask to write some comment, i assume someone gonna read them and regoup them in trends. i am cynical, i am not THAT cynical though.
  9. if it works for you, that's fine, but i ususally like to drag my character (no clones) through the story and the expansions. Some characters in WoW have been created in 2004 and have been adventuring with for more than 10 years, have known many expansion and defeated countless enemy. i treat swtor character the same usually.
  10. think about the people who're gonna have to read all of them and classify/analyse them. They probably don't want tens of thousands of 4-pages wall of text.
  11. seems like a placebo effect to me. there aren't that much difference between companion now and companions 1 week ago before the buff. There are slightly more powerful, but not by much, and i'm pretty sure everything you do now, could be done 1 week ago, in particular levelling. but hey, more power to you if you now can enjoy the game.
  12. the first (and only) character i ran through kotfe so far is my sniper. i didn't know i would be loosing my companion, or more exactly, i was under the impression it would only during the story chapter and i would get them back after. Didn't know it was permanent. I do miss the snarky comment of kaliyo. now, i have another character 65, full 216 already, my vanguard, but i didn't want to lose my crew, so i didn't run it through kofte yet. I do want to run a force sensitive character trough the story though, the sniper didn't make any sense. How would a simple sniper even measure in a duel against arcann, the immortal emperor. how can i stop a lightsaber with sniper rifle. Plus everyone act like my sniper is super important, even the dead emperor thinks she is special, she is just a well trained agent gone rogue. Story made no sense with a sniper, so i'm thinking running my juggernaut, surely the emperor wrath make more sense. But i'd hate to lose vette, and her witty comment here and there. or even jaessa.
  13. because a long tim ago, in a far far away galaxy, the evil empire is ruling the galaxy with an iron fist. The the rebel alliance is hidding on a forsaken world, gathering their strength to strike a decisive blow to the empire. Funny it comes in full circle. Only missing a Death Star now with a massive engineering weakness in the shape of an exhaust vent leading straight to the reactor core, and an equally massive security oversight of protecting that exhaust with only a handful of turret. I totally came up with that, 100% original.
