Sure I'll admit going darkness hybrid or full 31 darkness is more reliable for pvp, but that doesnt count out deception/madness.. theyre both viable specs in the hands of good players and both do higher single target dps..a good decep/madness assassin WILL stance dance.. keeping your healer alive > little extra dps

Wrong op is WRONG.. going from 20% DR to 36% DR does not make you bad. Maybe you don't premade often, or for that matter even win often, but if my healer is about to go down and I need to keep him up guess what I'm gonna do? Switch to Dark Charge--> Guard+Taunt. Another example: ally dies, passes the ball to me, I'm near the goal line.. 20% DR vs 36% DR? Hmmm Contrary to what you may think... a good assassin will most definitely stance dance depending on the situation.

I have no problem playing my sin. I come top in WZ's 9/10 times. There is nothing wrong with the class, it's just very gear dependant to do well and has a bit of a lurning curve which you'll overcome once you hit 50 and try out different specs

That match I qued with only one other guy (Ledfoot), but yes I'll agree that having a pocket healer makes a big difference.

It is definitely more viable for pvp. For pve it all depends on your MT, if he can hold aggro then Wither/Discharge is much more useful for a group then doing a bit of extra dps with madness/decep. Battlemaster sin here.. ive experimented with alot of specs. My avg voidstars are 300-400k dmg dealt. And IMO Darkness>Deception in the current build. Don't be fooled into thinking that rolling Deception is the only way to output good dps. On the contrary I'm doing more dmg as a Darkness sin than I ever did as Deception. Sure I'm not hitting high numbers, but my sustain is there. Also dont forget about the utility/survivability offered by the Darkness tree.. sometimes thats more important than doing +X% dmg, or +Y% whatever. All I can say is... experiment.. try different builds out and you'll see rolling decep isn't the only way to put out good dps.
