  1. because the ea servers are unresponsive. you will just sit at the load screen after logging in until you decide to crash it.

    PvP Perfection.

lolz. Surprised you can choke out that story when you clearly have something in your mouth. If you're being sarcastic than I salute you.
  3. The first boss as others have said can be tough with enrage and healing. With champion/tionese you can do it just by working a strat which keeps people alive while max damage on boss at all times. The next bosses up to SOA are a joke in champ gear. When you hit pylons, try to solve both sides at the same time for each sequence though different stuff works for different groups fighting the bug. The duel boss is a joke, on hard/NM they do not use ANY abilities on our server making them easier than normal mode with extra HP. SOA is a douche. Bad RNG and you lose. ** Having a marauder/sent for the AOE buff helps a LOT. Having a Sniper/?? for bubble shield helps a lot.
  4. It's faster to level when you skip ALL heroics. Most people are trying to hit 50 quickly. If you're a healer or tank you can usually find a heroic group but still it's faster to skip them if you cannot find a group in under 5mins.
  5. 1v1 as a sorc I can usually kite away. If I want to kill I need serious time, more so than available in a WZ. World pvp 1v1 I can win if the enemy doesn't have a healing reduction skill. The issue comes with multiple healers. We seem to build exponentially off of each other. Throw in a couple of tanks with guard and now you have a situation where 2x healer + 2x tank requires cannot die 4v4 unless the other team is very well coordinated which is impossible unless 4man premade vs 4man premade. generally when that does happen we just end in a stalemate.... If healing was reduced more... then, that same situation wouldn't be a problem. However NO SANE healer would solo queue ever. Resulting in pure dps/tank WZs. Now the important thing to see is the future of stat scaling. There is a healing debuff in WZ for a flat %. Every stat a DPS/tank receives makes him/her more powerful. Every stat a healer receives has a lesser effect. Around the BM/Rakata mark and eventually after damage will hit a point where healing is always a losing fight. Where as at low gear levels healing being "on par" with damage results in hard to kill healers. My advice is to be patient and see how things unfold. With the 1.1.5 changes I expect to see more healers in every WZ. This will cause a problem since 2 healers > 2 dps. Increasing the healing debuff will be too detrimental to solo queue healers so there is no real good solution. My experience tells me you're not killing us properly. Jugg/Guard, Sent/Mar are the 2 classes which can wreck me if done properly 1v1. They have enough burst to save their CC for when I am low, double CC me (Since I save break for that low CC burst) and burst me to dead. Marauders with the healing debuff can just wear me down quickly forcing me to stand still and heal ( a losing game) or run away (also a losing game). Shadows/Assassins are a little different; BM/Rakata geared they kill me faster than anything if they don't fall for cast juking. It's also impossible to run away from one. Champ geared Assassin/Shadow is not a threat 1v1. Ranged classes can be LoS.
  6. There was a thread not long ago with proof from a rakata geared commando who could spam 7k-9k crits, pulling aggro no matter what and dying. Now obviously from aggro he is focred to scale back and that "balances" his dps with other classes but if you assume infinite aggro management from a tank I don't see anything beating that sort of DPS.
  7. People need to stop comparing OP to the average idiot who thinks MAX DPS at all times no matter what is win. A) I go MAX DPS whenever I can and grab aggro which wipes the raid. B) I go max DPS at burn phases, grab aggro and wipe the raid. In A the tank has no idea that my threat is going to climb and sudden aggro is my fault. With B the tank KNOWS I and everyone else is about to DUMP max damage and can compensate appropriately with cooldowns and his own relics/adrenals/stims/etc. I should be unable to pull aggro. Normally the tank is the fail. One of those is poor design and the other is player fail. Sure OP can limit himself in situation B. By telling him to hold back in situation B is a problem. Would you enjoy playing a DPS class that MUST never go all out on burn phases? Would you enjoy having to average your self in burn phases by waiting 10-15 seconds as a threat mechanic? No, If I had to sit idle for 10-15 seconds to avoid pulling aggro I would dislike my class/spec. If I can to always maintain average DPS despite being ona burn phase I would reroll. Being forced to sit idle is boring and who wants boring. First I would look/test a different tank before blaming the game.
  8. Last week once we got the fight down it was all "yah, next week this will be easy!". This week, 1shot every boss up to G4B3, we had a new guy with me doing puzzle so we expected a couple wipes....... 8 wipes later....... Two proxy droids and you NEED a healer to keep the person alive. Droids spawn twice as often as well. Stun droids on bottom are what caused the real problems. Eventually we had the timing down to wait for the damn droid wave if it was close before dropping fire on the boss. They had this mean tendency to spawn right when we were ready to dps boss, stun the healer and tanks and laugh at us. I don't know about you but being laughed at by a puny stun droid is harmful to my mental stability. We had MANY 10% wipes. Most of us are in Columi gear (136) and this was NORMAL mode. We run 2 tanks, 2 healers and 4 DPS. Granted we could swap the 2nd tank and will next week for 5th dps. Then the last boss.... LOL easy. The bloody TRASH was harder than the last boss when people were dumb and broke CC.
  9. As a comment on OP, the healing is fine. The only time I have issues is when the other team actively hunts me. 1v5+ gets old quick when you're the only healer on your team.
  10. No. Before the rakata medpack nerf it was easy to obtain. Now with full champ gear you need power relic + red buff to make it easy or adrenal. Sometimes I'll get a random 5k crit heal without using relic or adrenal but it is pretty unreliable. Each WZ I can and do get the 5k heal but it takes some set up. The random 5K crits without setup while healing someone are pretty damn random. Here is something to keep in mind, at lvl 15 you have roughly the same stats as a geared lvl 50 minus expertise. When you hit 50, get full champ your healing HARDLY changes from when you were level 15. What does change is your durability, force efficiency and utility.
  11. yes... the issue is what else to do? 3 characters already. doing the end game stuff as much as I can. I guess I could raid on all 3.... that would consume 3-5 nights. I joined a PVP server just like every other MMO i've played so that i can PVP in the world. that's VERY hard to do in TOR unless you enjoy ganking low levels SWTOR should be advertised as a healthy MMO. I've had to spend more free time outside in SUNLIGHT than ever before. Simply because I have so little to invest time into inside TOR. I'm practically a public health risk I've been living in MMOs for so long. what are women? where is the driving trainer? why are consumables so expensive? seriously though, I just want a little unstructured pvp action against similar leveled players to fill in the time between other stuff.
  12. Objectives that require player kills in a zone that is population capped to equal numbers. faction imbalance is the issue and it is causing problems with pvp systems. I won't QQ much about WZ since they already mentioned a couple new ones coming down the pipe. I will QQ about Illum when the info about the future was terribly bland 'we're looking and working hard towards a solution.'. Fine but I'm bored and don't want a 4th alt. Ganking sub 50s isn't fun either and about all i can do on my Rep for world pvp. I don't have stealth to sneak into illum and snipe kills. My imp cannot even find pubs in world areas. Sure I can find some on Voss but that isn't fun. The point of camping/ganking low level areas is to force out the lvl 50s.
  13. More threads. Please BIOWARE I would like to see weekly updates on this pvp zone. Before the patch I could find PVP in the zone. After the Patch my repub character cannot leave base and my imp char is tired of hunting objects against 50+ other imps. Things to do at 50: hunt datacrons/matrix shards (done) Operations (do them 2days weekly on HM) pvp (tired of huttball on imp but I run my dailies and enjoy them mostly) Flashpoints (no point doing those anymore) Make credits (I have enough) So really, the only reason to log in is 3 pvp wins and 2 nights a week for raiding. Illum used to provide SOMETHING little to do on the side. Now that I cannot waste time there I made another alt. I'm sorry I spend so much time playing TOR. 2x 50s in Champ/col gear, one of them getting close to BM and with Rak items. A lvl 46 char which shouldn't exist. I have so little to do on my main and 1st alt that I made a 2nd alt. In DAOC, wow, eq2, rift and lineage2 I had things to waste time doing at max level. Content that was hard without being buggy. PVP to hunt in the world and more than 1 warzone (on rep I get ald a lot and as imp I only get HB). Reset illum to what it used to be so I can at least find some pvp between WZ queues or give me SOMETHING to look forward to. Otherwise I'll need to resub a old MMO and at this point I would rather kill kittens.
  14. It's just like other MMOs. Except op/bh are not standard resource mechanics. Resource efficiency is a large part of tor healing and we've found some Ops are amazing and some are terrible. Where as most sorc do fine. One of our raiders came from healing high end wow and can't heal in tor to save his life as a Op.... Seems the skill curve is higher on Ops than the rest. -multi use healer -tank healer -group healer I've healer HM as tank healer and group healer (sorc). I'll take a BH for tank heals any day just because of their hard damage reduction buff. I traded places with our Op, he now group heals and I damage since his damage seemed less than reasonable (we don't come nearly as close to enrage timers now). He does great. We have 2 other Ops who cannot heal normal mode in a 2 healer set up. yes the sorc aoe heal is the strongest in the game but you need the whole group to stack in 8m circle and stay there for 12 seconds. That situation is less frequent on HM. With only a few people in it for 8~ seconds and you now have a heal that does less than Op/BH aoe and requires a 2s cast. Cast time + standing in the HoT really reduces it's effectiveness with mechanic heavy encounters. A Op can RN and forget while being confident it's healing for mostly its full amount.
  15. Target of target would be nice though why not just focus frame the boss for the same result? Really though, you can scale your raid frames and put them anywhere you like. What more do you need? Instead of looking at your target frame health bar, watch the raid frames, click the name and press your heal bind. Easy.
