  1. My method was always to hit Force Pull, taunt, and start using that time to build up threat via the rotation. Man was that fun to see if I could outparse threat from the DPS. Some egotistical DPS in my days, took it upon myself to consider them a challenge and I always left those encounters with a smile on my face. "You'll need to put guard on me." DPS 1 "Are you getting hit?" Me "No." DPS1 "Lets try this..."
  2. Give me my Blade Dance, Vortex Slash, Spinning Strikes already dammit. I want to proc that shiz in fleet just to look like an idiot, thank you very much!
  3. Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment but the difference between a good tank and a bad is two fold: 1) knowing the fight so a lot of your instincts should be second nature 2) Maximizing your buffs to improve mitigation which in affect improves survivability. I don't think it should be a passive but the duration was always a little bothersome to me. Being a fan of Kinetic Ward's graphic, I rather like watching rocks lift up and hover around me but aesthetics aside, we do have a lot going on now and so much reliance on min/maxing that it has become cumbersome. My SC was so high at one point that 15 stacks would drop like sweetrolls were free so I'd not have much window for error going through my rotations before I'd have to reengage the ward(s).
  4. Game Changer, absolutely. We endured and have since survived but man did that update change the feel of the class for me. It was only shortly after I was getting the hang of Will-Tanks and falling absolutely in love with Sin/Shadows too
  5. Seems two fold. One is lack of oversight and the other is because when you reach level 11 you get one anyways or just run through BT/Ess a few times to collect your shiz. Never bothered me really. Only reason I think Juggs/Guards got away with it was because tanking was all they did while DPS was the Will-class higher proficiency when the game had just launched.
  6. This just reminds me back when I was cocking my eyebrow at the notion that Deception/Infiltration was getting the ability to use Spinning Strike out of its "area of expertise" while tank spec got the maul updates prior ago. Kind of made me wish it was the other way around and Maul for D/I got some damage boost to balance it out.
  7. I'd be okay with reliance on defense if we got some semblance of healing back - which, quite frankly, wont happen any time soon. If at all, so I'm not holding my breath. Arguably the only thing I enjoyed from Champions Online was how it handled defensive powers (Lightning Reflexes), it became a stat with its own DR but then there'd be no point for Absorption so it doesn't work with TOR. Guess I'll be interested in seeing how this'll jumble my stats once 4.0 hits. Hell, SoR's new gear already did that already so my stats are all over the place at this point. From switching set bonuses to rearranging mods and enhancement distributions on the fly... I guess, looking at the bright side, it'll be nice to see something more streamlined instead of this wonky switcheroo nonsense.
  8. I'm just happy to get more mobility. Finally something that synergizes with Phase Walk that isn't a talent but an actual skill we can utilize. Otherwise Force Speed was kinda meh. Still waiting on my stupid dancing in place with the dual blade blocking melee/ranged and attacking those in melee - skill. Just a wee bit annoyed it was teased and then dropped.
  9. Oh, unless if I'm misreading context here, I'm not complaining about it. In fact, with the changes GW2 had gone through in Season 2, even in that game you get two weeks of free access (first come first serve-type deal) and then if you miss out - you're charged to revisit that old content. Seems only fair really, I just wonder what they'll charge because Bioware isn't too keen on balancing money for unlockable content. On the other hand, ANET gets away with it because they have a currency exchange system where as the Cartel Market doesn't have that. But over all, yeah the purpose of my post was merely me assuming that's how it was going to be. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
  10. Thanks for the clarification people, was about to panic thinking I got screwed over somehow. xD
  11. My only issue with this announcement is that it's forced. City of Heroes had the mentor and sidekick system that would synch you appropriately to the content in which you tried to pass through. The difference was that it was based on choice and not forced. The fact that they're forcing it upon the player is, well... I'll manage but still feels like a slight. It's not like running through Black Talon was netting me anything worthy if I ran around on my level 60 through it.
  12. I thought that was exactly how they worded it. You'd have to buy the chapter or something to gain access to it's content if you wanted to hop on an alt and do it.
  13. I'm still trying to figure out where my pistols and coat are, been subbed since weeks prior to the announcement. =/ EDIT: Or did they bump the sub-special? I thought both the blasters and coat would be available on September 30th but my mail box is empty D:
  14. I'd like to see the Korrealis Commander come back (or an all white Korrealis mount) with the two seater variant, like the mounts from Korriban/Tython tacticals.
