  1. You just missed my point: as you said "I was fully geared out and had told them I had watched tutorials and read guides on the matter." Thats awesome man, but I was talking about ungeared, unexperienced players with a few hundred achievement points without eager to learn tactics from Dulfy or else. Guess when you joined your first OP you already had at least 10k achievement points and enough experience. My point is: new players should do flapshpoints, class stories and planetary quests to gain experience and prepare for the endgame content, the operations. In short: you install SWTOR for the first time this morning but on wednesday you are already on Dread Palace, this is abnormal. Thats not this game is meant to be.
  2. There are rare exceptions with full ops run, but yes, endgame is dead with this farming
  3. I remember when I started playing SWTOR, the only thing I wanted to do is to discover everything, to feel the Star Wars universe, and of course earn some money and else. I didn't even play any operations until I completed a few class stories, a lot of heroics and more important: a lot of flashpoints to gain some experience. Yesterday I played DP 8SM with strangers and there were 2 firsttimer among us, each with 800-900 achievement points. They obviously didn't have any clue about the 'rules' of operations (do not aggro all the mobs around you, wait for everybody to heal up, do not attack boss before RC and etc.) so they basically f*cked up everything. My questions is: where is this going to lead the game? The endgamers can't do a smooth run because newbies are swarming operations (my story happens often, not only yesterday), and the other thing: new players won't even reach Hoth or Belsavis, because they can level up with heroics and they join operations without a completed storyline. They don't know tactics, how to gear up (even if we have bolster in SM) or the etiquette to not Need on every drop. And the list goes on... Back in 2011 SWTOR was a story based MMORPG, and I swear most of the beginners nowadays couldn't tell me who Darth Baras or Satele Shan is. They actually lose the point of the game. I kindly ask you, dear developers, to limit the game for them somehow. Let them 'feel the Star Wars' before joining endgame content, and let us veterans play with experienced players. I suggest to create a ranking system in operations. I mean new players would be Rank 1, when they didn't play any operations. To reach Rank 10 (or 2 or 5, doesnt matter) they have to complete all the SM operations, for Rank 20 all the HM, Rank 30 all the NiM. This could prevent failed operations and massive stroke for veteran players, because GF could calculate the Ranks and form a group of same leveled players. On the fleet, group leaders could easily consider if they want a newbie to join their operation by chechking the icon next to their names - just like Command Tiers. It could be easy to say 'find a guild and play with them', but in an other thread I explained another big threat on the endgamers: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9158769#post9158769 Thanks for reading, please leave your suggestions.
  4. I am one of those people who are sick of all these changes the game received in the last few expansions. When I started playing SWTOR it was so captivating to play in every aspects, but now it is not really worth playing. Just a few reasons why: It started with the removal of Strength/Willpower/Cunning/Aim stats (and I don't care if there were a lot of dumb*sses who couldn't use the correct stat for their character). We haven't seen any new operations for 2 years now (I have to admit, the Eternal Championship, KotFE and KotET story was pretty good, but It's not ops) Gearing with this bullsh*t CXP makes no sense, collecting crystals and token were a challenge. Now players be like kill as much as you can to gear up BUT you won't be a better player, there is no need of struggle to get a better token on HM or NiM operations. Why would anyone play them then? Expertise is gone: people didn't play PVP because it was sh*t, boring and repetitive, not because they can't gear up Uprisings are crap. Seriously whats the point of these mini 5 minutes flashpoints? Collecting CXP? Thats all? So innovative! Guess someone at the Bioware HQ came up with idea to give the players shorter flashpoints and release a Veteran level too. meh... I know a complete guild who left the game because you are killing the endgame (they are happy WoW players now) It's just sad you don't care about the veterans who have already paid hundreds of dollars for you. Plus you reset the whole Dark vs Light achievement despite thousand of players spent weeks or months to complete it. That was one d*ck move, three of my friends already unsubscribed because of it. In short: you make everything to erase the endgamers and now the achievements hunters too. Nice one! I assume you are aware of the extinction of the servers and the rage of old-school players, I think a new server with vanilla settings (with the expansions included) could be a tempting offer to the "betrayed" veterans. And yes, I know SWTOR is a business service and it's goal is to earn money, but still... I hope the best.
  5. So somebody at Bioware HQ just came up with the idea to reset all the achievements to me and all your subscribers who worked hard for months to complete it 100%? How f***ng smart., deserves a Nobel prize, a promotion and a high raise! Thats one real reason for a lot of people to leave this game. I've already spent hundreds of dollars on subscription and Cartel Market and this is what your loyal players get? Really? This was one disgusting and unfair move, something close to betrayal. Give me back my achievement points!

    nvm

found a thread about my topic
  7. Seems like it restarted because its 0/500 on rep side too... shame on you bioware, i spent hours for nothing
  8. Hey all, i've just completed the achievement called 'Wampa Stompa' on Hoth (kill 500 wampa) on republic side, but on my imperial character it shows 0/500, which is weird because the antecedent achievements (kill 25 and kill 100) are completed... What should i do with this? I think it should have merged with imperial side when i made it on rep side...
  9. Hey all, i have a little problem getting the lore object achievement called Makeb's Mysterious Survival. Dulfy said i will get it when i talk with the droid who gives me the Weekly Staged mission Mass Exodus. But now as i have read forums, the staged weekly is removed in 4.0 so im confused how to get this achievement. Any ideas?
  10. Vincent... i cant find any words. u are the true hero of swtor. thank you very much i really appreciate it
  11. Thanks for the reply! This whole thing doesnt make any sense: there is a lore object we cant deal with, but it appears on the achievement tracker... shame on you bioware
  12. Hey there! I previously asked this, but i couldn't solve the problem. Now i ask for a decent guide how can i get the last missing Lore object on Belsavis which is called 'The Infinite Empire'. Everything i found on the internet to receive it are already completed: - Class story done - Belsavis Bonus series done ? and at this point i should start the dailies that i cant do for unknown reasons. The lore was dropped from the daily quest called 'Sleeping Rakata' BEFORE 4.0. But now i have no clue how to get this. Dailies are lost. Please help me if you know the answer. I really appreciate every constructive ideas,
