  1. Hmm. Doing Makeb quest line on my assassin with a rank 30 Treek as healer (I'm level 55, the quest is for 53-54 - the part where they're trying to stop the planet from blowing up). Treek almost died from 6 normal mobs, not strong or elite. Even during the Rise of the Hutts expansion with the old companion system where they were pretty weak to begin with, my Malavin Quinn didn't take as much damage. This nerf is way over doing it lol. Did they literally take the companion healing output HP and stats and just decreased it by 75%?
  2. To interrupt the pissing contest a bit, I feel like I should point out bubble only stuns if you spec 17 points into lightning, which means you need to give up revivafication... Carry on, carry on.
  3. You lost me at "worst class for huttball". I'll agree with all the rest of it etc etc, minus the we are healers part unless you're going corruption. If you position yourself well as a sorc for huttball you will be frustrating for the other team.
  4. Sure, healing ops have decent dmg, but that also means they're losing a lot of energy fast in a short time.
  5. Why not just have a vote for marauders. They can keep their high dps and have less defensive cooldowns, or they can lose their high dps and keep their defensive cooldowns. I see no reason for them to have both. It's actually harder to kill a marauder than a dps juggernaut, which is hilarious seeing how the juggernaut should be the "TANKY dps" class.
  6. Why not just no ball in Huttball, we'll throw the fattest guy on the team that resembles a hutt the most over the goal line, and the other team has to figure out who it is and kill them before it's too late.
  7. You seem to be under some delusion that sorc stun bubble comes with the barrier. It's a 17 point talent into lightning tree. Warrior aoe mezz is a skill. Not even close to being the same thing.
  8. Nothing like reading the patch notes and finding out we're the only class (along with our Jedi counterparts) that have no changes in the upcoming patch. Of course, it's better than another patch of nerfs. But sorcs/sages are far from being a balanced class with no problems to be fixed. Seeing how there are no changes to be made to sorcs only makes me feel like the developers either do not care or do not know how to fix us. Healing: I have no problems what so ever with the whole consumption nerf where it still cost HP to use consumption. My only beef with the current healing tree is the long cast time for dark infusion that was caused by the changes to force bending, which I actually prefer (as reduced force = much better in the long run). The only changes I would like to see in the healing tree is Dark mending swapped with Conspiring Force, then buffing Dark Mending from instead of 0.5 seconds with 2 pts specced into it to an entire 1 second or even 2 second. It's not a skill we can chain spam anyways since without force bending it can quickly deplete our force, so it'll help with the long cast time and not be an issue that makes us "SUPER OP". Dark Resilience can use a slight buff, but it's not my big focus atm as it won't handicap us that badly. Also, why can't sorc healers dispel Tech debuffs? Operatives can dispel everything when they're healing specced. This is a HUGE issue considering how a lot of debuffs in this game PVE wise (and sometimes PVP) are tech based. It's completely unreasonable that even in HEALING spec we can't dispel all the debuffs. If that's the case the operative healers shouldnt be allowed to dispel one of the debuffs either to make it fair etc. Madness: I'm fine with this tree in PVP. PVE however, the speed at which our force depletes and how spamming consumption alone can't keep up. Lightning dps is great for PvE, however, it's highly reliant on procs. Also, for fights where 1 mob must be kept CC'ed or something, we can't use chain lightning freely and that is a huge dent in dps. Therefore, madness is somewhat the only "steady" dps tree. ATM though, no matter how great you are at juggling force, having to weave in a consumption every here and there is a huge loss to our dps due to the globals required. Hope we'll see some changes in this aspect in the future. Lightning: Too proc dependent, was hoping in 1.3 they'd think of a way to make it more skill based rather than proc based but oh well. Overall I'm just disappointed at how no changes are made to sorcs. Guess it's time to think about which alt to play.
  9. Removed my post since I noticed I was off topic, was giving PVP research instead of the flaming that's going on here o.o Sorry! Continue please
  10. You're missing his point. His geared sorc took 38 seconds. His undergeared noob armor warrior (forgot class, marauder?) took 15? Btw OP, 15 seconds is way too long for a marauder to burst a sorc down. I've died within 1 rotation with 1153 expertise. Even if a half health marauder starts on me, as long as he has that dmg reduction cooldown up, chances are I'll still die (even if my dots somehow kills him afterwards). That being said, I can 1v1 most marauders though since 95% of them seems to play without much thought, not that they need to lol. The thing I don't understand is why marauders have a 1 min dmg reduction cooldown. I mean sure, sorcs have a heal and a dmg absorb shield I know, but I'd trade those for the marauder dmg shield anyday.
  11. IDC about sorcs in PVE, they're fine as it is. I actually like sorc healing changes, the only difference I would make would be to switch Dark Mending with Conspiring Force in the tree then boost dark mending to 1 second reduced instead of 0.6 (***?). Madness is perfectly fine in PVP atm. The only main issue I have is as most ppl mentioned the lack of burst. A recruit geared marauder and burst me harder than I can burst him (I have around 1153 expertise in BM WH?) In the end I deal either the highest or second highest (depending on how much I get focused) so I wouldn't say they're useless. I would definitely rather trade some utility skills for survivability though. Sorcs really don't have any "get aways" unless the class they're facing doesn't have cc break/root. Lightning needs some bursts so that it can be an alternative to madness. Madness is great for survivability and if you're a good kiter type you should be okay most of the time. Would be nice if they improved Lightning more as a tree itself to make it more attractive to try out.
  12. Then why do you queue right away instead of questing, or doing somethings that won't damage others' time? Do you also hold the same attitude when you waltz into 50 ops/hms thinking that the unfortunate few that took you are obligated to carry you for gears? Who carried them?
  13. If you hit lvl 50, you'll be hitting level 50 with some level of credits. I've done both pvping from 40->50 and PVE'ing(quest) from 40->50, not once have I hit 50 without enough credits to buy an entire set of recruit gears as well as train all my skills. No, I didn't farm on purpose. No, I didn't get very lucky with drops to sell on the GTN. I don't play the market, I don't try to get credits at all. I even train all my crew skills without making money from them. Not once have I hit 50 without getting at least 200k credits to spare after training skills. The only way for me to see someone not having money would be them wasting it on purple stuff, vanity items, bad decisions. Quests at high 40s give you 4k-12k (especially level 50 quests that you CAN do with crap level 40 gears and a companion). Even if you were unable to get enough credits for it right away, you should have no reason to not be able to make enough for the set in 1-2 days worth of questing for not even a very long time. If you need help, you can always google/ask if you are brave enough to face the trolls. There will always be 1-2 ppl nice enough to give you an actual answer. Let's face it, most of the ppl that waltz into pvp REPEATEDLY with no recruit gears even after they were advised are just doing it on purpose. And yes, it may be frustrating if you really didn't know and it was your first match at 50. But instead of screaming at the ppl that are pointing you out, you should be angry at the lazy idiots that ruined it for most ppl. Having to put up with them repeatedly is what made these ppl so jaded and doubtful of every new 50s they see. Just improve, prove them wrong, go farm a few quests and come back with recruit gears. If you keep zoning in over and over again without it, then you're just trolling.
  14. Well said. There's nothing better I can add to this. Except maybe the people that respawn and walks straight to let the enemy's ball carrier leap and cap. Or the ball carrier that absolutely refuses to pass to a guy wide open when he's not stunned/cc'ed but instead insists on walking to the goal himself. I realize not everyone have PVP'ed before or played other MMOs etc, but the ppl that makes me mad the most aren't the new players, but the ones that's geared to the teeth, the BMs, and War Heroes, ranked 70 80+ ppl that you KNOW must have at least AFK'ed in warzones to get his gears. There are no excuses that the person would have such as "Sorry I didn't know how this game works". Yet still you see some of these ppl making the most mistakes. Aside from that, sometimes it's just the most basic common sense. A lot of ppl are playing with none because they've already excused themselves in their head. Also, since recruit gears are available to anyone this patch, there's no more excuse of waltzing into lvl 50 pvp without ANY expertise and just be a dead weight to your team. Let's face it, with the dmg boost on expertise this patch, no expertise can't even serve as bait like they did previously. Yes, this is a game, but you're putting time into it just like everyone else is. The PVP matches last on average 10-15 minutes. You're still wasting that amount of time for everyone on your team that queued into you unfortunately for the lack of effort or your own attitude of "not giving a ****". Not asking you all to be super stars in pvp atm, but at least make an effort and try to improve. It's exhausting to watch the same people getting charged repeatedly by the enemy and scoring, the same ppl that break the ccs and help the other team win. The same ppl that doesn't pass the ball but instead tries to walk across the goal. The same ppl filling the resolve bars at the worst times possible. Just be less selfish and be more considerate and be a team player. That's what most people want.
