  1. This just in: bioware's itemization is very poor. Sound the alarms.
  2. While I agree with the 'lack of faith' sentiment, the failure to update the tooltip is due simply to the fact that it requires a more invasive client update that's better reserved for a larger content patch. Tooltip updates have been working like this for a long time, in a lot of other games.
  3. If that's really the case... just... wow. Maybe by the end of summer the resolve recipe will be working.
  4. So we're able to sell our improved 'wares' for more credits. And spend those credits on what? the new synthweaving BoP gear? Alt companion customizations? The fact is, money is not an issue in this game if you are on a server with a reasonable population. The garbage part about this change is that if you are one of the biochem people who have been keeping your guild flush with mats, you now gain no personal advantage to your tradeskill. Ideally I'd be able to switch biochem to my alt, and go synthweaving on my main, so that I can continue to min/max for my role, while also keeping my guild flush. Unfortunately, because the exotech patterns are bop, I need to keep it on my main for the rest of the raid, while not gaining anything as I'll be using the exotech consumables instead of my reusables. Awful change, not thought out well at all. There were far better ways to bring biochem in line with other tradeskills. "Creeping concerns" will continue until devs start making smarter decisiosn across the board. Until then, it's tick tock and drop goes EA stock.
  5. Remove them. Please BW dev team. Stop banging your collective head against the lead-laden wall of crew skill balance. It will only dumb you down further, and we need that precious brain cell to be churning away so you can make appropriate fixes where they are actually needed, and where it can work comfortably, without embarrassing itself. But if you must persist, maybe you should spend a half hour, or hell even a full 45, and look into cybertech, armstech, or armormech buffs. Just a couple suggestions, good luck with that next share price drop.
  6. Wrath-buffed CL is actually the least impactful advantage of the hybrid spec on a single target. In bis pve gear it nets you ~350 more damage across that gcd compared to the damage FL does in that same gcd window. If it interferes at all with the wrath for your next CD, or force levels are becoming an issue, its not even worth using on single target. It's an aoe utility talent pt for the hybrid spec, and removing it completely wouldn't really change the cookie cutter min/max spec. The Bugged lightning barrage (plus the static % buffs to CD/affliction) is what makes the spec shine (the bug is an ~6.5% dmg increase to total dps). The first step to fixing the specs is fixing that bug. The second is buffing the 31pt talents.
  7. It's not really competitive in a raiding environment currently. The spec essentially splits your main filler nuke between LS and FL. In a real raiding environment, you would be hard pressed to cast enough LS to keep conduction stacked, and as LS scales poorly compared to FL in terms of damage per execution time, its borderline whether its even worth it to the stack it up. The only thing you really gain over the 13/28 spec is the alacrity cd, which at 10s of our worst stat every 2 minutes is one of the weakest dps cds in the game. The benefits from deathmark/force horrors/lingering nightmares/creeping death far outweigh the benefits for this spec. As for in a pvp environment, having to cast LS to do optimal burst is not ideal, it forces you to be a lot less mobile than a madness heavy spec.
  8. This fight is fine. The swipe isn't an exact 180 from his midpoint, it extends further toward his back on the side where his hand comes from. If you had actually tried to understand the mechanic, instead of assuming it was bugged, you probably wouldn't have raged and posted here. As for the "ougear or else" idea, my guild killed this in blues. Easy encounter is easy. Absolutley, they are already releasing new content and have fixed ONLY ONE bug in EV, and it wasn't even a fight mechanic bug, it was a lockout/loot chest bug. They do not have much time before people start shifting back to wow, or another mmo, for raiding purposes.
  9. Although there should be some better explanation or indication for how the turrets work at the start, overall this FP was my (and my buddies') favorite. Catwalk knockback puzzle area was just great, really let you play around with one of the few awesome mechanics this game has.
  10. OP your trend is accurate. Both for 4 mans, and raids, there is no change in mechanics from normal to hardmode to nightmare. All they did essentially was apply enrage timers and increase damage/health of bosses, making every fight nothing more than a gear check. It's a shame they couldn't have diverted some voiceover funds to actual interesting encounter mechanics.
  11. If the law didn't exist, PvE progression would not exist in a themepark mmo. A guild would simply buy everything itneeded to outgear an instance, and breeze through it. Go play eve or another sandbox if you want impactful crafting.
  12. Call the wambulance, somebodies crewskill isn't as useful as they thought. OT: The nerf to the cybertech nade is due to pvp concerns (biochem medpack too mind you). If you don't know the reasons behind the move, you probably never saw them in action. This decision by BW has nothing, zero, nada to do with cybertech as a crewskill.
  13. To the people who aren't making money crafting: you're doing it wrong.
  14. Agree. Simplest solution would be to have an option to show only your own debuffs on the target unit frame.
  15. This can happen under two scenarios: 1) Because of a bug, you can use one barrage buff to get off two FLs. You simply have to queue the second one immediately, and the game won't detect that the buff has fallen off. This means that every barrage proc represents 2, not 1, quick channeled FLs. 2) The buff is not limited in that you can only use it every 10s, it's limited in that you can be granted the buff every 10s. If you time your FL usage to happen immediately before that 10s window is up, you can use the buff, and get a new buff immediately after. However, letting this happen is not ideal because of the double FL bug described above.
