  1. There are quite a few other threads on this, but now that you've swapped to cloud, it makes fixing bugs easier. I'm hoping old issues in the game, like dead Codex entries that were never taken out even though they were removed after beta, could be put back in or removed from the Codex. I've never been big on the Codex, but there are a few toons I've collected them on, so it'd be nice to see this corrected. One more thing on Balmorra Empire side codex for Mutated Colicoid: please fix the respawn time. Thanks. 😄
  2. I'm unsure if anyone could answer, but I saw the rewards for season 3 and was curious if they'll ever have the seasons on a rotation, much like the events, so we could see that armor available in the game once again. Or, possibly, if they'll drop something similar in the cartel market, it's still far from perfect, but with the right dye, it reminds me a bit of Leon from RE4. Thanks for any feedback.
  3. There's an issue with respecing for technical problems, but what about adding more than the two combat classes? I've seen it suggested. Does that also carry technical issues? Because that would fix the problem, and I could see a few classes with more options, like the soldier class in mass effect 1. You can specialize in all gun options. They could even charge cartel coins for every class beyond the second. 😄
  4. Maybe I should put this in general, but I've recently returned to the game from a 2-year hiatus and decided to add it to the story section since I'm only coming back to play the story bits. Well, that and record them. The class stories are awesome; some were better than others, same could be said for the expansions. Now I don't have the time or inclination to dedicate much time to raiding or pvping again. Still, I wanted to record the class stories to enjoy my favorite bits in SWTOR; by later plugging my external hard drive into my TV and watching them. However, are the bugs still pretty bad? I heard that after 7.0, they were terrible, nearly making the game unplayable. There were still minor bugs in 6.0, Risha in the wrong outfit during the smuggler chapter one, etc. But are they so bad now it will make playing too frustrating? Thanks for any answers; I appreciate the assistance.
  5. I'm pretty sure it will. Just give it a few more months, and more will drop since this looks like a bad soap opera or sex. You know it's ******, but you keep coming back hoping it will get better, and I expect even that optimism is starting to drop.
  6. You'd think they'd jump on this to get players using the CM to quickly spend 300 CC to respec your character or make it 600-1000 to unlock the ability to swap advanced classes permanently. I wonder if it's a bug since there were posts about changing factions and losing your ship when selecting your second advanced class.
  7. After 7.0s release, I'm not surprised to see the numbers dropping. I expect it will be more significant as the months go by. Because while they brought in new players, with some older players returning, it also negatively impacted TOR's loyal subscribers, turning them off since most enjoyed 6.0s playstyle. These loyal subscribers are the ones that stick around after the honeymoon phase has ended. While generally, the new subscribers move on to the next big game, and the older players do as they always do, unsubscribe wait for the next expansion to check out what has been released. Don't get me wrong, 6.0 wasn't perfect, but I did feel it was a step in the right direction. All they needed to do for 7.0 was fine-tune some aspects, more incentives or rewards for doing different content beyond HS, give Hard-Core players their own instance, increasing the difficulty, similar to PVP instances on each planet. Release loadouts, class swapping, lastly add new content for everyone (PVP, PVE, Story). I'm pretty sure people would have been reasonably happy, not perfect, because, well, this is an MMO someone always complains.
  8. Honestly, separate stories would be fantastic or more interactions from past characters (class companions) within the story instead of new companions. However, I expect it will remain one story for Imps/Pubs, which is better than one story fits all. Although I would love to see a villain beyond your typical crazy Sith, maybe instead introduce a villain like Admiral Thrawn would be a nice change of pace, but I'm pretty sure we'll never see that happen. Since if Malgus kicks the bucket, they'll probably bring back Jadus or some other Sith with plans to conquer the galaxy.
  9. I still think what they've done with GF is a mistake, since yes, continually getting HS wasn't fun, but that's why I'd que for other stuff after finishing my daily. The newer FPs are interesting, but generally, I only attempted them at HM with friends. Otherwise, I avoided them in GF. This is just a question since I used to do a lot of healing at NM, but now play casual, was the tank interrupting the fire dot, and was the healer cleansing the dot if the tank wasn't interrupting? That alone can wipe a group in Lost Island since if either isn't done, the healer is forced to focus on the tank to keep them alive through the dot damage, leaving the dps out to dry. I know many players miss that if they're jumping from vets to hm, often forgetting you need to use those utilities that aren't generally required in Vet FPs.
  10. I've always wondered if Assassins Creed inspired the heavy lean towards melee with Operative. The 3rd act and parts of 2, with the advanced class, Concealment, are very "Assassins Creed." You wear a hoodie carrying a hidden blade, can pop out of nowhere, stab someone, and then disappear. While the 3rd act revolves around stopping an advanced shadow organization, manipulating everything from the background. This, of course, is my speculation on why the class became so, get close and stab someone. But it's been a while since I read up on what inspired the creators for each class story. As for the other classes, I have no idea why they are more melee friendly, but I love the scoundrel's gameplay.
  11. Not really, I've been playing games since FF7, and sorry, but I expect a certain level of quality. 7.0 is pretty on que for Anthem's quality of release. This tells me MELE was a fluke or made by a group at Bioware that cared, and even that wasn't perfect since modders have perfected it.
  12. Since 4.0, I've felt a bit apathetic to the game, and while 6.0 had some moments that made me laugh. I decided to record the class stories for my own enjoyment down the line if I get the itch to enjoy SWTOR, but afterward, I had every intention of canceling my sub. 7.0 really enforced that desire, its a mess, and with how much commentary came from forums and PTS, it shouldn't be, or the "update I mean expansion" should have been delayed.
  13. First off, I'm not a big fan of a one-size story that fits every character. In Mass Effect, it worked, but for TOR characters with varying personalities and backgrounds. That overall story arc doesn't work as well. But this line of storytelling did not start in KOFTE. It started after the third chapter and even before that with each planetary quest. It was always one story for each side, Rep/Empire until SOR expansion. Then it went to one story for all classes, with minor differences on Rep/Empire, which is why we got KOTFE. People liked SOR. It was a popular expansion, even though overall, in my opinion, it was lacking a lot more than 2.0. But 3.0 dropped multiple raids, FPs, I think more arenas (can't remember stopped doing ranked at this point), story elements for single players that allowed them to enjoy the raid without raiding. Lastly, a small class story-specific mission that took maybe 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the class. So people wanted more of this, and instead, we got KOTFE, which Bioware Austin was giving the most popular element of SOR (storywise) to the players. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Bioware could have done things to make it more enjoyable and replayable. Swapping around Lana/Theron at the beginning, more lines in tune with your class, new PVE/PVP content, either reason for tech classes to be the chosen one or make it more tech-friendly. Next, as for entirely blaming EA, ah no. While they are a large part of why TOR went downhill rather quickly at the beginning. EA does not take sole responsibility for the state of SWTOR today, Bioware in my opinion, is just as much to blame, or I should say Bioware Austin. Both Austin/EA are why this MMO is in the 20s in terms of popularity instead of being one of the top 5 MMOs out on the market. Now 6.0 did at least bring back two sides Rep/Empire, giving players replayability in that aspect, but overall, 6.0 just felt like another 3.0, but worse off. One more thing, I think tech classes could have just as much relevance. Look at Batman. He could wipe the floor with any other member of the Justice League because he outthinks them. Or soldier Shepard from Mass Effect, you're the savior of the galaxy, and all you have is a gun. So tech classes have just as much reason to be the chosen one. Unfortunately, Bioware told the story poorly in later expansions. Unlike initially with release and class-specific stories, where it made sense that a BH or Smuggler could kick the crap out of a Sith or Jedi.
  14. The fact is Austin Bioware is coming out with a new expansion that will have a new host of bugs, gearing, and the whole shebang to distract players from the simple fact that they will likely be releasing bare minimal content with this new "expansion." Notice the quotes for my sarcasm. Initial release to 1.0- 3 operation, class stories and planetary content, 17 flashpoints, and 5 PVP areas. 2.0- 4 operations, the Hutt cartel expac and the start of Revan questline, seven flashpoints, arenas, and quesh huttball. 3.0- 2 operations, Reven questline leading Emperor questline, two flashpoints, and I think some arenas, not sure, stopped doing ranked PVP by this point. 4.0- 0 operations, KOTFE questline, Star Fortresses which I don't find all the entertaining and have only done on a few toons, Odessen Proving Grounds, along with a couple of arenas. 5.0- 1 piecemealed operation, rushed KOTET questline, traitor arc, and the start of onslaught questline, two flashpoints, Yavin Ruins, and more arenas. 6.0- I have not played that much; I know there's one operation and at least one flashpoint released during this time, along with the end of TVV. I may have missed some stuff like daily areas and such, but I haven't been an active player that logs in every day to raid or PVP since before 5.0. Covid can excuse some lack, but not everything because it merely seems like another reason why SWTOR has continually seen a downgrade with every expansion. This new expansion will release a new system that only adds to the old bugs, which never get fixed if they're not game-breaking. Likely one operation instead of a couple of operations and FPs that challenge raiders, little to nothing for PVPers. Dribbles of story content and lots of Cartel Market content to keep solo-players subscribed. There you go, that will be 7.0 in a nutshell.
