  1. this. at most, solo ranked should only reward on the weekly. if it becomes 1 for daily, 2/3 for weekly... team ranked will go back to being dead save for the 20 people that have to beg and work with each other's schedules to get a match. like it already has been said, there will be bad teams looking for mats and good teams looking for competition. i'd like to think that some of the teams that are just farming mats will eventually want to get better and compete. i feel the way this week has gone, it can only foster more competition. you will always have people doing it just for mats but idk.. seems in a good spot right now. please don't kill it bioware.
  2. it's bugged for all rewards beside credits/command points. aside from season pvp tokens it is also not giving unassembled components or crafting materials/boxes.
  3. out of town that weekend but as signup-sheet already says, in for the 29th
  4. why weren't they legacy bound as soon as they were introduced? why make command tokens legacy bound but not unassembled components? where is the logic in this? it still feels like punishment for playing alts. this wasn't a problem prior to 5.0 so why is it so hard to rectify this issue now? i assumed this would be included in the first patch to help with the grind but no. i assumed alright they'll fix it in the next one and no, again. patch notes don't even specify when it will be done but you can count February out ("in the future"). seriously, wth bioware?
  5. you have a few options if you are comfortable with with your rotation and think you can do lots of dmg while getting focused... door number one is to go in hard at one Merc (or whatever your focus target is, going on Merc helps cut down their dps on you tho and makes them use dcds) by predding with your team. this is vital, tell your team to rush with you otherwise you're gonna get ****ed in a 1 v 4. if I'm going balls deeps, usually I leap in fast and obfuscate immediately (this will help in a lot of ways, dmg reduction being the most obvious but also helps with cc reduction which is a benefit some people don't take into account; leap and obfuscate faster than they can hard stun you!) followed by rebuke/cloak of pain and just start going ham. around 60-70 percent pop saber ward for the blood ward heals along with adrenal if you haven't already popped it. if still being dicked (most likely) pop undying/guarded around 6 seconds of saber ward to get off a bit of healing followed by medpack. now you should be back near 100 percent health. continue to go ham til around 40 percent health. by now you should be netted. use your break, pop camo immediately and run to a hiding spot (pop pred asap after camo to help). heal up and come back with obfuscate back up and cloak of pain hopefully. kill things. other version of balls deep is to leap in and pop undying first but this is only a better route if you know that they will be focusing you the minute you leap in. this way you will get stunned through most of undying but take almost no dmg. after undying just follow with obfuscate and the rest of what I said above. second door is I'ma just sit back. let your team go in first and hopefully they focus someone else first. not recommended if there is more than one stealther on enemy team. disadvantage here is you don't know when you're gonna get focused so you might lose a chunk of hp before you start popping dcds. also once you get good, it's better to take focus on yourself rather than a new pvper who can't survive under focus like you. I prefer balls deep option bc it usually ensures you massively **** up one of their dps and hopefully kill one before you camo out or your team finishes them off while you run and hide. must have utilities for these strats: 6 second undying, free pred, 70% speed pred, blood ward, obfuscate force/tech dmg resist strongly recommended utility (by me): 6 second camo. helps you find a farther hiding spot and 50% speed boost during camo in case no pred available. anyway this isnt how you should play every match. adjust accordingly. don't pop anything if they're not on you at all. obfuscate is the only cd I'll chance to waste bc it also can help out a teammate getting focused (using it on snipers/maras or even mercs). oh leaping and aoe ccing if they're all grouped is also a good strat to lower some dmg on yourself. tho usually these days you got mercs and snipers to single target cc so you don't waste time doing that. time where you need to be going balls deep.
  6. can't we at least get unassembled components retroactively granted for wins? I'm not sure if you track losses but wins are clearly shown on each character's pvp window pop-up thing. actually if I remember correctly, it shows wins only for regs but shows wins and losses for ranked matches. please retroactively grant these to help cut down this huge grind.
  7. lots of teams last night, only bad thing for jc is that it dies fairly early on weeknights (understandably) but being a central time player with mostly west coast players in my team, def wish it would go longer! played a good 3 hours i think on jc then begged on harb to get teams and finally got some, probably an hour and half ish there. definitely more teams on jc as of right now, hope it keeps up!
  8. my guild all moved to jc pub side not a ton of us but around 8 - 10 ish ppl enough to have a ranked team on pretty frequently. if anyone wants to q up for 4s, our guild name is Infamous (tho look up just "fam" the i is a lower case L). we're also on harb under the same name so just ask one of us and we will try get something together hope we see lots of teams on jc!
  9. while i mostly agree with this, it doesnt work out for east coast imp players if ebon hawk actually had a 4s scene it would be nice but i've yet to see much group ranked there i think jc is the most popular atm but doubt anyone from ebon hawk will move to jc. tho idk if thats a big deal since i dont see many ppl on eb doing 4s anyway edit: who the **** voted for the bastion
  10. so, i think harbinger is the biggest pop atm (definitely as far as solo ranked goes) but it actually has the least pops for 4s. no one wants to queue 4s, everyone is all lukewarm about it. if you move to harb, just queue up and dont be discouraged. you might (should) do badly at first bc the teams you're going against should have more experience than you. obviously if a ton of teams come then it will be more variety, hopefully less experienced teams vs less experienced teams. but this is swtor and the elo system is ****ed so be prepared to not have the greatest time at first. you'll learn what not to do, what works, what doesnt etc with experience. personally i will keep my imps on harb for solo ranked and group ranked but if the community decides on another server as the de facto central group ranked server, we will move our ranked team/guild over to that server on pub side. ideally that server would have a big population and solo pops. only server that ive seen pop consistently pub side for solos is ebon hawk but ive heard even less about 4s there than even a smaller server like begeren colony. either way tho, main concern of this thread is 4s. imp or pub doesnt matter. if JC has the most teams willing to queue up and everyone wants to move there, that's where'd id go. if its ebon hawk, shadowlands, etc. i'd go there too. thing is we all really need to decide this time. last time it was shadowlands and everyone just moved right off bc connection issues, this or that, etc. the cheap transfers made it possible to just change your mind really easily. hopefully this time, that won't be the case. we need to pick one server, decide on it and all move there and just treat it like its a one way move. group ranked is dead and if you really are interested in reviving it, we have just this week to pick the server where it will all go down. please let your friends know etc, give opinions about why you think a particular server would work; your experience of group ranked on particular servers. anything that would help the community decide, please.
  11. we've actually played mara/pt and while it works very well against most comps, vs a good double or triple pt comp, the mara can quickly get shut down and merc/pt becomes better mara/pt might actually work better if we used a pt tank ourselves but i hate double/triple carb and won't suggest running it too often, i guess out of principal i think merc/mara works best for consistent hardswap vs most comps but merc/pt is better to try to pressure back and still hard switch. merc/pt becomes really squishy vs other good hardswap teams tho, found that out last night. viable but scary lol tl;dr i think merc/mara might be the most balanced vs all comps but merc/pt better against double/triple carb. long live hardswaps!
  12. honestly think he double clicked guard off you, dont think it ever got it on you just showed the animation
  13. made a compilation of some hard swaps/burst kills in group ranked on my merc along with my teams commentary (for luls) got some positive vibes off posting it to /r/swtor so thought i'd post it here too hope ya'll enjoy!
  14. sniper/gs operative/scoundrel neither is hard to play, but hard to master. i'd say operative is harder for me i imagine mando/merc is pretty tough considering there are so few good ones, dont have either tho sent/mara? e z.
