slicing is money and money is never pointless.

It is a Gathering Skill in which u can find stuff to gather in the world. you will find crystal nodes once you get off the starter planets. just run around starting areas farming crystals and level that way. as you get into higher areas and planets you find higher level mats. ect ect its like most crafting systems in a mmo. the mission part of it is something to help it along plus find some rare gems easier.

the last beta build they took it out, dont think it was put back in.

Its bop I believe and shop sells them for 400 last I heard

theres a vendor in the citys and im sure in fleet that will reset skill trees. on kass there there one with the other skill vendors near the ship upgrade vendor

click the "X" ?? in the crew menu under the skill. somewhere in there.

Not sure then, you check for glitched email? My email to play was dated 12/31/1969 It shows up at the very end of my email list. But sure if all the game email were like that for everyone else.

Did you update your account when they asked? you may still need to do your 5 questions. You should see in account page (ready to play) something along those lines.

yes, you can select what companion from a drop down list and send them out on missions to gather or do what ever while you have one stay and fight with you. or send both out or all them out once you get more. atleast thats what i recall from beta unless they changed it.

from the little i did with artifice usally ended up with alittle less then half the mats back. but usally lost the blue quality mats, some times when re-eng the blue hilts id get just the blue mat but none of the low crystals. so yes youll get mats back but at a loss. its getting enough blue mats to make blue items that was sometimes the pain. just test it out on afew items and youll see how it works. it was also buggy in beta for me, most the time i couldnt re-eng cuz the button was gone lol.

when you get a crafting skill it should have talked about re-eng and also the info should have been put in your codex from what i remember

most mmos ive played its like this, but not sure on swtor. only way to know is to test it.
