  1. I love when people like yourself mistake the word casual for bad. Most of the people I know raid less than 8 hours a week and play less than 10. They would be defined as casual. Most of the players you are referring to stay logged in 4 or 5 hours a day doing nothing except complaining about how much time raiding takes. Believe it or not, but most casual players don't want to be fed with a rubber spoon and a bib because they are adults. Not everything in this world needs to be so mindlessly easy to make people happy. Humans have a natural desire to compete and challenge themselves. The select few that want to devolve will hopefully eliminate themselves from the gene pool in time.
  2. Wait, so let me get this straight. You are giving me 30 days of free playtime, and the only cost is YOU not releasing incomplete content? I love your new line of thinking. I hope the adolescence don't bankrupt your company though. People are always going to cry and complain without reason or logic in every facet of life. MMO's aren't special.
  3. I love how this thread started with intelligent ideas and has devolved into one side using reason and logic and the other side stomping their feet screaming no louder and louder hoping mommy and daddy listen to them instead.
  4. Simple fix to make everyone happy. Do the same thing they have done currently only expand on it. Currently, you have to check a box in the options menu to turn on the combat log. Just add a box that shares your data with the other members of your group and a box to collect data from other members of your group. All this crying against it is asinine. Its like refusing to use an automobile because horses work just a well. Ignorant.
  5. Great ideas here. Unremitting to Defense Blade Barrier to Vigilance. I'd lake to see some form of active mitigation management in place of Blade Barrier because I like the premise, but its current form is worthless. Edit: Actually change remitting to 6 seconds control immune and 6 seconds extra threat generation. This solves the issue of pickup threat as well. Eliminate the 20% reduction. Positioning is important while tanking operations, and trying to gimmick this for maximum uptime is one of the reasons the hybrid build works better on paper than in reality.
  6. I realize that this mentality is hugely popular, but trust me when I tell you that the longer 1.2 is in testing, the better it will be for the game. I realize it needs to be released before people give up, but if they release buggy, unfinished content, that is the bigger disaster.
  7. What he said. After proper story mode tuning, the quality of this content is miles beyond release content. I expect this to be the most enjoyable tier of operations content thus far for casual players and hard core players alike.
  8. I'm surprised more tanks aren't outraged at the uselessness of this. Change only happens when you speak up!
  9. Yea stimulating the economy of both factions on a server is a terrible idea. /sarcasm
  10. It doesn't scale with gear. In its current form it only absorbs around 800 damage. I don't have any suggestions. It was a great idea, but I think a redesign from the ground up would probably be the most beneficial. If you wanted to be lazy about it, you could add some Bonus Damage Scaling as a temporary fix. Good luck and discuss.
  11. They added 2 resources every time Rampage procs. This more than makes up for the use of this defensive cooldown. You are a tank then this ability is not for you. Nothing to argue; it is a fact this ability was added to combat the squishyness of DPS Guardian/Juggernauts.
  12. QFT. This is why developers walk a fine line between making Normal/Story mode content fun and engaging enough while forgiving enough for casual players to appreciate their personal achievements. The other side of this coin is the small "hardcore" raiding community that would rather content be almost unbeatable than even slightly too easy. Everyone involved needs to remember that these communities can coexist and be pleased with both individual experiences. That being said, for story mode content, the first encounter is just too unforgiving and will push casual players past their typical tolerance threshold. Minor changes can be made that will undoubtedly maintain the encounters thoughtful mechanics, while allowing for common mistakes. Right now a mistake is essential a cattle prod to the genitalia. This needs tuned down to more of a slap on the wrist for the better part of the player base to appreciate.
  13. I love the ignorance in this thread. Parsing on the PTS has shown that Ops are in the same place as every other class is dps wise in comparable gear. Your ignorant crying is the reason Bioware will never listen to this nonsense. Come in here with facts and maybe they will give you some attention.
  14. I've fully cleared Nightmare, and I don't feel like it is for epeen. The game is so simple that the only real challenge are the unintended bugs that you have to deal with. This combined with more damage and more boss health are the only thing that make Nightmare mode a challenge. Some of us don't like completely faceroll games and nightmare mode is the closest thing here to escaping that.
