  1. I agree, I do not why but this has bugged me from day 1. Why? The close quarter combat weapons of this game need to be redone.
  2. Right on I am glad I do not have a one on one mind set anymore. It really feels like it has opened my mind up and helped me with surroundings and tactics. I also turn off flytext damage numbers. Believe me when I say they are a distraction I dont care how much I am hitting for so long as I am doing what I need to do and it helps to loose the tunnle vision.
  3. Voidweaver legacy Jastio - lvl 31 merc (secret that causes much hate) Zim'dashio lvl 24 sniper (last one for to lvl because I am going to enjoy every single lvl of it this class is op) Vashnoir lvl 46 Jugg (smashmonkey) Castio lvl 30 sorc (so far I fail to see why anyone has problems with these guys they offer the biggest distraction against the opposing team which results in more wins) Josilyn lvl 44 scound (just stop your not killing me unless you have more then one person on me) Jacilyn lvl 50 sent (smashmonkey) Zastio lvl 50 Shadow (deepstank and or just trouble all the time have fun) Bazule lvl 50 vanguard (nerfed but with two nades now lol this class is still op) I dont get to pvp all the time with all the nice stuff lately to buy. However you dont have to run in fact I can tell because I feel a lot of hate amoung other players and if your smart focus me down or distract me as much as you can. I can tell right away when I run into another player that is skilled. I salute you. You have my respect. Lets rolfulstomp some folks heh
  4. Really this makes me happy and in fact anyone who thinks range classes are not OP (that is if you can not play them to their fullest abilities) I am ok with. ROLFULSTOMP coming your way. Who ever said mercs are not good...... Keep believing that. They play a very important role if you know how to use them. If you still are stuck in a mind set where one on one derermines who is better then your not good at pvp because you fail to see what and where your class fits in a pvp battlefield. Each class plays a role and ranged classes have way more versitility on the battlefield.
  5. So what class are we talking about that your playing and also what do you normally do. I know you got more hp then 5k-8k so your not being one shoted. Master am I now. Awsome my head swealls Do you guys ever sit down and practice hitting keybinds maybe coming up with new ideas for quicker response times. Heck ya prolly dont even use your mouse wheel and shifts. Still stuck on zoom are we. Thats four easy keybinds to get use to. How bout pinky presses???? Get off the arrow keys. Use hardly any clickys. PRACTICE and also make sure your rig is running good if not do some research on vsync and get off the highest ego fps trip it dont help. I can do 120fps too but no I keep vsync on it helps. Just back in the day I was bullheaded and thought I was a god amoung players untill someone stop me and gave me much needed advice. Did I listen right away?? Of course not. But now I am more open minded then ever. I got lots of keybind secrets. I can give even players in rift that use 1-3 macros a good run for the money. Again I am not the best player ever but I will keep an open mind and am now willing to learn anything and everything that has to do with keyboard and mouse skills. Here Trollie trollie.........
  6. Just stop already. If yall can't figure out by now what the problem is I can help you with. I can offer advice on how to setup and use the effective skill called KEYBOARD KUNFU. I can pull High damage on any all classes I play. I can play them effectivelly. I have 15 years of keyboard kungfu experiance and I am not the best player and never will be. I just got practice and a rythem and so do many other good players (I take my hat off and salute to all skillfull players) IMO all ranged classes are still op and will always be op. I have one of each class so screaming to nerf to one will do no good. Ask for some classes to be buffed or put in line with other op classes. If you have a bad match "chalk it up to a bad round and try again, stop screaming nerf and use your brains"
  7. I agree waiting around on que times are bad. However how many people are not queing up because of the unfairness. With F2P coming around this could be worked in and it could actually work. With this said as it stands right now I do not see myself queing my fresh 50s. In fact I think I would do something else that involves pvp but less frustrating. I do understand what you say but it could also be preventing so much more from happening.
  8. I got a good idea on how to handle pvp matches for fresh 50s. First have the game or servers or whatever remembers the last known expertise rating that was equiped on your character and have that information saved permanently. Next have an outline or grid that shows or says if you hit a certain expertise rating you get put in to the next tier of 50 pvp. Maybe allow for one or two upgrade pieces for whatever reasons or not. Of course befor you put all your upgraded gear on you would first be smart and collect it all befor proceding to the next tier. You also would not be able to que for ranked matches untill you qualify past the first tier. Another thing. No matter what you decide to wear when you que you get tossed into whatever your last highest known expertise rating saved at. It would save soon as you equip it. So people couldnt swap gear out trying to cheat the system. Maybe just have two tiers of 50 pvp going. Example: Maybe you have a lot of fresh or close to fresh 50s and dread taking them into the pvp matches because of the current setup doesn't feel fair. So this is in place and you get your recruit gear and you que and now you are faced off with all other players that have recruit gear on as well. When you are ready to step up to the next tier just put on all that bm gear you have collected. My wife and I got to talking about how much fun we are having in sub 50 pvp matches and then we relized that when they hit 50 we will get tossed to the wolves. You know you can spin this anyway you want or come up with ignorant come backs. However the truth is fresh 50 pvp is not fun at all. I see the same people thats been on from almost day one in their augmented wh gear and I don't know if they are going for ranked or just regular matches. When I que for 50 matches I have one augmented bm geared vanguard and even though he is fun to play I myself like to play them all. You might say well just use him to gear out your other characters and I would say that would bore me to death to just grind that long on one toon that shoots a rifle. I like diversity.
  9. I was on the sidelines for a few years now about games that end up going free to play. My first thoughts was like, ya right whatever see ya laters. Honestly I have never posted about this subject but I have been giving it some very deep thought as to why a business would do this. This is what I came up with. Visualize yourself playing this random game that is on a subscription for $15.00 a month. Your use to how everything works and in your comfort zone. A change is made during patch day that you just do not like and you feel since you pay for the game you gotta come up on here and post your two cents of verbal abuse. You then rage quit. Some odd months later after playing various mmo's and single player games you decide to come check back on the odd random game and open up your subscription again. Few months later another change you don't like comes along and you decide again to put in your two cents of verbal abuse. Then you rage quit this time putting all kinds of reasons why in the cancel option. How many of you done this? I have. Maybe not the verbal abuse part thats just an enhancement of this post. We gamers have this idea how we want our mmo's to be and I honestly believe as time has gone by we have forgotten our place in them. We "I am guilty of this to" have gotten selfish and demanding of what we want in our mmo game. We jump to conclusions without much thought. So now with all this in mind a company that decides to roll out with a F2P option is actually smart and better for us. They do this for us. These guys/gals are running a business and do you think for one minute of the day they are going to look at a rage or I quit thread of so many reasons why? Do you think they like it when someone says "well I pay for this so it better get done." Guess what thats right F2P you can just pack up and leave and come back anytime you want. You can do that for free on the house bud. Think about it this option gets rid of or at least most of the negative threads. Don't like it play free dude. Want to know why they been holding back a lot of content? They want to release it and change stuff without half the community coming up with half thought out rage threads of why why why. Being told how it should be done. Really how much crap can you talk about something if its free? Like here dude here is a nice fat juicy burger, enjoy. What are you going to rage about? The carbs? Ya. Ok so go pay for one down the road. Maybe some still think I am off my rocker. No man. Lets see I am a gamer so that means I spend money on games. For a time now I have started to really lay low on single player games they are just not appealing anymore with the dlc all the time. Also I get bored of them 15 to 30 mins into it. Thats what maybe two games a month or at least use to be. $120.00 freed up for me to put into the mmo I want to spend time with. Right now thats swtor, I like this game. I spend money on games anyway so what am I really gonna rage about. If they decide to put something in the store I want and I haven't spent my gaming money yet. Well I am gonna buy it. Why not? Bioware/EA I am not gonna say good job or anything because I want to say good job to me for not raging and throwing any fits and at least trying to understand whats going on. I dunno maybe the only thing I really want to know is. Is a secret space sim in the works? If anything just answer me that? No. Whatever see ya in the black hole.
  10. I play a Vanguard as well and he is lvl 43. The one of my 8 toons I have been working on and right now they are the most OP class in the game and really have been since day one. If you think otherwise stop lieing to yourself. When the game first launched I laughed at first thinking that bioware/EA made ranged classes op to prevent so many people rolling jedi/sith classes at first. Now I see this must be that they just hate jedi/sith. I thought maybe after some time they would fix them, naw. I play jedi/sith classes pretty good but hey ranged classes are just more op. Yesterday I was in a wz and did 430k top damage with 52 kills 2 deaths with some protection points. I was averaging around 320k per match. I hate that this class is op and I am going to use and abuse it untill it gets nerfed. I am going to shoot for 500k total damage befor he hits 50. Then at 50 I am going to lawl around in recruit gear and rip people apart. Why? Because this class can and you wont stop me.
  11. The SWTOR Experiance My wife and I are currently unsubbed and these are our reasons along with possible ideas to better either this game or another. 1. Pigeoned holed affection gains for companions disrupt overall story modes. Of course I am going to pick the options that offer more affection points for our companions. Why? I don't know. Same applies for Light side/Dark side gains. Because of this I can not enjoy any of the story lines much less roll another toon. A trapped feeling if you can understand. Possible FIX: Remove light/dark side gains and allow for us to set our own slider position. I would set mine slightly above light side because that is how I would want to play my toon. It would feel right with most decisions I would most likely make. As for affection gains take them out of story line options as gains and change it up. My companions should get affection if I choose to use them in my adventures. They should be thankfull they get to roll with me. 2. LFG anyone!? I might have been misguided or just maybe I was daydreaming but I thought bioware was going to come up with something better then forced grouping to complete heroic story lines and flashpoints. The problems I have with grouping is that they really are not fun anymore. I do not really make friends anymore by being forced to hang out with someone I may not like or they may not like me. The last couple of times I tried to do a few runs, a few of the people had this gogo idea and it left a dull dark feeling in my mind. This happens now more times then I can count now. IMO forcing people to group to do content isn't what makes a game an MMO. What makes an MMO is the opportunity to meet and hang out with all kinds of different people. Possible FIXes: If you are going to make a single player mmo, you should have just made all content soloable by letting us use more then one companion. This way I can play at my pace and not be hurried by other gogo people. Object to this really? But its not an mmo without group content!!!! I don't know who wrote the rule book or law book on mmo but in my experiance an mmo is a place where many people are playing the same game together or against each other. Should I and other people that think this way be pushed down and stomped on? Bioware just finish this game up and make it either completely singler player or multiplayer cause you can't have both without the right tools. Add in things for people to do that isn't a FP or OP like events that many people can get together and hang out with out that forced grouping, mingle it up. 3. Crafting and Gear. So I guess the best craft is biochem. Gear is so well made that repairs make it brand new, untill its replaced by something better. Possible FIXes: The max durability on gear should wear down after each repair. Crafting should provide the only and best gear in game. Of course boss/reg mobs would drop those hard to find parts. Random applied bonus on crafted gear for chance at rare makes. But this isnt UO or SWG!!?? Yea well the way it is now is stale so why not. 4. Mobs. Really do you think adding a bunch of hp to a mob really makes me feel like a hero? No it don't, I have downed many mobs in the game and the most boring ones are the ones with a ridiculous amount of hp. Why? I beat them anyway. I do feel pigeoned holed into using my healer companion on most encounters though. Possible FIX: A retune of all mobs to consider, less hp more AI and difficulty. More hp doesn't mean harder it just means more boring. When a fight breaks out it is usually quick and deadly and should be here as well. 5.Space Combat. I have no idea what was going on at the time this was put in the game but...... Yea. Possible FIX: Redo this, I can say right now that my wife and I had an amazing amount of fun with swg's Jump to Light Speed. Why not? 6.PVP. Nerf....Nerf and more Nerf. Really I took my time to get to 50 and by time I got there you all had already made some major nerfs. So many nerfs. Possible FIX: Instead of NERFING why not get the other classes up to par. 7.Char lvls. Really I would have thought that most of us gamers moved past the need for lvls. Why do we have them? I don't need my hand held on how to learn to play a toon or a carrot on a stick. Do char levels really matter that much? Are char levels responisible for making the game fun or dragging it out to be tiresome and boring? Does it say that levels are a must have in the mmo law book? Possible FIX: Get rid of char lvls, basicly just make everyone and mobs tuned to lvl 50 from creation. Ok so I start game out and play and guess what? Anytime I want to do something with someone else I CAN because everyone is the same lvl. Maybe some places harder than others and would require better rated gear and geared companions. More toward end game after the main storty lines and such. Even without char levels you would still progress through the main story lines and at least wouldn't have to worry about repeating the sides quests 15 times over. Datacrons would be linked according to reb or imp side toons so you wouldn't have to go play super jedi bros again and again. Not to mention that I know I would get a piece of mind knowing that I could focus more on the mmo part and not so much the repeatative grind part. I can also say that having the benifit of removed char levels would make the above idea of crafting and gear more valuable. In game economy would thrive. This might sound kinda impossible or would not work but.... Can you really tell me that you are willing to grind and repeat side quests on 16 chars? I won't. If there was a way to do this without the endless pit feeling, then yes I would.
  12. I play a shadow with tank/dps gear and right now its my only 50 but I have others that are mid 40s. Thing is though that you ask to nerf this class then I will just play my scoundrel where I also get highest damage/kills. Nerf that. I will then play my Vanguard and burn everyone down and still get up there with high damage and kills. Nerf that. I will play my JK Guardian where I will also stomp around in tank spec dps gear and get high damage like I do now with him. Nerf that. I will play my sentinal and its over now cause that class is by far the deadliest in the game I refrain from playing to hopefully not force a nerf on it. Nerf it. YOU CAN'T NERF ME.
  13. Use of hotkeys for attack and passive are golden if you use them. Mine are shift+mousethumb forward and back and I never have a problem with getting them to follow orders.
  14. CC is fine the way it is and the only reason you guys want it to be gone is because you got this strange idea that you can be a one man army and wtfpwn everyone when guess what? You still gonna get ganked without it and if someone else has better gear they are gonna still get ya. CC is if you know how to use it "gives you a fighting chance to survive those who out gear you on those chance fights" Without CC the pvp in this game would become stale and I know I wouldnt have fun anymore I dont know about anyone else. Also sometimes I feel like being he-man I get cc ganked to death and when I play smart I dont get cc that much. hmmm.
