  1. Hey all! Ive been around since CBT and then i left shortly before makeb dropped. So im coming back now and i see that we have a level cap raise, free boosts, and a mess load of other things. Before my mind overloads i just have some questions maybe 2 or 3 if i could get those answered thatd be great. General Chat hasnt changed and DK chat seems to be praising jawas now...Oh SWTOR you havnt changed. 1.) Free level Boost does this grant me access to buffs? I have a free level 60 boost for coming back but when i logged it in i dont automatically apply the buff it gave. Its a Sith Warrior and I was hoping i could skip that storyline altogether. But the chapter 2 buff (you know the ability to apply that classes buff across all chars) isnt working, What gives? 2.) Some of my skills as far as crafting are missing some things...for instance Artifice has these...components? I have to make before i can make other items, however those components are not showing up on my skill page...IS it a bug or do i just have to train them up at a skill vendor. 3.) How has healing changed? I had only 1 character before leaving, a level 55 Sith Sorcerer, Healer. Are healers still rare? Are the rotations the same? Have they been nerfed? 4.)Without spoilers preferably, I do want to level another class which should i do? I do want to get the 4 buff thing and not stress anymore, but god there are some stories i just want to skip, I have an agent planned in the works but i dont know what to do for the warrior/knight and BH/RT buffs...Both classes seriously bore me. With someone with that state of mind what would you suggest? 5.) What is this legacy thing? On my chracter select screen thers this tracker for a "Legacy" status? Is there any benefit to doing it or is it just some icon or whatever? 6.) I wanted to add a security key to my account for an extra 100 coins (i know EA thinking right there lol) But its not available on a Nokia Lumia (Windows Phone) Is there a plan to release it on that phone type or no? I have many many more questions but i fear id have to go in and dive for myself, Thanks for any and all help you can provide guys. Long Live the Sith Empire!
  2. Back when i was preferred saved up until i capped out at 350k, and traded all of that away for an artifact authorization. :3 the 1 purchase i never ever have second regerets about
  3. the hilarious part (been around since beta mind you) is that these are the same EXACT people on the "SWTOR is gonna die in 6 months" train. i find this ammusing only because theyre now defending it. Do continue though.
  4. Thanks for the advice guys, I havnt had any recent encounters with GS's yet mostly scouts and SFs but i will definitly take these into consideration. Should i be working towards the upgraded Scout fighter or just upgrade my blackbolt?
  5. Ha! ill save up for the rocket pods well actually by default i have rocket pods the ones that dont locking. are you saying stick with those or go for the upgrade? Also what would you reccommend as a general rule of thumb against a GS
  6. I actually use the Sab probe for the DoT and slow running Bypass and Targeting telemetry for 10% accuract and 5% crit chance, gun wise im using the Light laser cannons with 2 points for increased dmg and 10% reduction cost. I'd list my entire set if thatll help
  7. I love my scout, my scout is my ship and i cant exist without it. Its fast its evasive and itll tear your **** to pieces before you can figure out whats touching you. Only issue i have is against gunships. I'm still relatively new to GSF so im not ranting about them merely asking whats a Scout's strat against them? Most GSF's arnt coordinated so traveling in a pack isnt an option, the only time i ever have an issue with a GS is when im pretty much dogfighting someone else. Damn Republic scum love to jump me... Anyway i wanna improve my Scout currently using the S-12 Blackbolt. its basic and i dont see a reason to change just yet. I've dipped points into to dampening systems, upgraded dmg, and Evasion. Any tips would be nice thanks!
  8. With the new patch i was wondering if Dark Mending (tier 2 healer talent) Was even worth the pick up anymore. I've been around since beta and seen some changes (our 30m stun gone our Overload now a frontal cone which sucked till theyve now made it a heal as well). The Dark mending talent maxed out (2 points) has a .5 sec reduction time to my Dark fusions Activation and a -4 cost to Dark heal. Reason why i ask is that i NEVER use Dark heal anymore. my other 4 heals are just too good that i never dip into it. and Dark infusion is my panic button when comboed with Force Affinity and Recklesness. I understand theres different builds out there so i'm open to suggestions. What do you Sorcs put your talents into and why. It could help me out in future endeavors. At the moment im running 37-6-2 with the 6 points prioritizing my Force shield. I took the points required so Force barrier( which is bloody op) and force shield to heal me a % of my hp while active. I'm a pvp/pve atm with emphasis to pvp if that helps at all Thanks again! Edit sorry Lightning barrier! not force shield. Editx2: Gear wise im pretty mixed up my character is a relic from the old days, The Lightning barrier heal combos very nicely with my relic. Its called Battlemaster Relic of Ephermal mending. It essentially procs another HoT that does 198-234 heal over time for 3 seconds
  9. Sorry for the double post: I'm running a SDS actually and still getting my face wrecked in.
  10. Not asking for help just mad as hell. Barring the fact that GSF plays EXACTLY like Star Conflict, you'd think that theyd fix the whole "Oh let me stand over 20km away and 1 shot you" problem by now
  11. Cmon really? Theres hardly anyway to counter them besides picking up a bloody gunship yourself. >_>
  12. I personally think its a great idea especially for those that claim to support SWTOR. I honestly think if youre gonna be here and want Bioware to know that youre here to stay Lifetime sub is the way to go. Hope Bioware comes with that option
  13. I was actually sad to see CoH/CoV go im still numb at the shock. The community was one-of-a-kind and no other game will ever be like that...And yea i agree alot are coming this way i know 5 or 6 for sure that were interested
  14. Since the game is gonna make the transition to the f2p option very soon i've been keeping my eyes and ears out for an option such as this. Unlike most of the children that dont understand the concepts of gaming, patches, updates, etc and expect the game to have everything they want (or used to have if comparing to WoW) I actually physically enjoy the game. The customer support is top notch, i actually enjoy the crafting aspect of it, Overall the game is young it has its issues but itll all be hardened out and i have high expectations for this game in the future. For people who see what i see and are here to enjoy the game Bioware worked their assess off to make i wouldnt mind shelling out a couple hundred bucks for the game. Lifetime Memberships i dont see very often and i'm not an active gamer enough to know all the top-notch games that have it. Star Trek online offers this and i was hoping bioware would take the same intiative. Why? 1.) Over-all if i know i'm gonna be here with you guys for a while i'd like my spot secured. 2.) Its just the over-all idea if its gonna be like this for a while. Basing off the example now: Star trek Online offers a Lifetime Subscription for $299.99. ( I dont know how much that is in other forms of currency). For that you get: - No subscription fee: Play without a monthly fee forever! -Forum goodies - Change the color of your username and show off a special title. -Exclusive costume option - An insignia available only to lifetime subscribers. Just visit a tailor in-game to add it to your current captain. -The Captain's Table - A special area restricted to lifetime subscribers and longtime STO veterans. -The Liberated Borg character species: Play as an escaped member of the Hivemind. As you can clearly see by the example above theres nothing game breaking. Nothing that would imbalance the game and nothing that puts you ahead. Besides a free weird species most of it is cosmetic with the major not being a monthly subscription. I for one would like the monthly Subscription option taken because i'm currently with a crappy bank and long story short i've paid for 2 months was denied. i now have to pay for 1 month recurring. The one-time payment along with special ingame goodies would be an Amazing toss-up especially if you have money to throw around and enjoy the game. Some Ideas concerning the goodies would be the following (note): Most are just repeats of above -No subscription fee: Play without a monthly fee forever! -Exclusive costume/Crystal option: (In-game let people know youre that devoted) -Fourm Goodies: Change your name color/special title for the fourms -In-game Title -Species unlock of your choice/Free new species(or something like that.) -Extra stipend of cartel coins (or a free item from the shop of your choosing etc) Please note this is an idea to toss around. The reason why I'm bringing this up is because i know some of you are excited about the transition. While some of you are not. For those of us that are i believe that the option to be a lifetime member would be nice I think this is a valid discussion and it is not advertising (to those that only scan the post and would like to rant on and on refrain from doing so) Tell me what you guys think i'd like to know. But like i said i see a very long future for SWTOR and i want to be apart of that every step of the way. The lifetime subscription would allow that to be possible
