  1. On the last boss sometimes some of the platforms just wouldn't spawn, giving us nowhere to safely jump. Even when all the top layer platforms spawned, sometimes the lower level platforms weren't all there.
  2. I gather part of subscribing to it involves cluttering it with useless posts about how you subscribed to it.
  3. My problem with it is that it has the same targeting reticle as Death from Above but the area of effect is much smaller.
  4. They don't even have to make crafted gear any good. Just give each a unique bonus that is balanced with every other crew skill's bonus. Not a new idea, but one that makes crafting worth it even after the pvp and operations drops outpace it. That's the easy way out, there are other options to make the actual crafted items worthwhile. But that takes a lot more thought and effort.
  5. What's worse: Reverse engineering over 100 implants, seeing that purple recipe pop up, getting insanely excited that all those credits, time, and effort have finally payed off. Mouse over the implant to check its stats. "Presence."
  6. Can you elaborate on that? I would think that Power would scale well with the other stats since it increases their damage as well.
  7. I don't see how this follows. Yes, it's BoP. But you still want the reusable one for yourself. I figure I'll get at least as much use out of it as I spent to get it before receiving the rare material needed for the level 50 version. On a separate note, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are there any level 50 implants to craft? The crewskill trainer only offers level 49.
  8. Also increase the clickable boundary. Some of those bio plants are tiny and hard to see, have a hell of a time clicking on them.
  9. Off-topic but related to gathering nodes, they can be gathering from a range longer than you'd expect (much longer than interacting with quest objects). And they aren't effected by line of site. So, for example, I've nabbed slicing terminals while standing under the bridge it's on, or behind a tent when the tent occupied by mobs I didn't feel like fighting (that one was tricky, had to zoom out and turn the camera at the right angle to see inside the tent).
  10. Humans are horrible at detecting randomness. In many MMOs, every patch or hotfix, people would be convinced that some random event was altered in some way. This is with a tiny sample size and not based on mathematical evaluation but their own "sense" or "feeling," which when it comes to random events is almost always incorrect.
  11. Most people overlook the gathering nodes from slicing as you're questing. On Taaris (Level ~35) They hold roughly 800-1200 credits each with 4-5k mediums once in a while. These are pure profit. The credits off gathering nodes dwarf running missions. At least if you spend most of your time questing. If you're leveling equally via space combat, pvp, and flashpoints, slicing may not be as worthwhile. But yes, at 50 most will be more focused on pvp and flashpoints, so it makes sense at that point to drop slicing for a tertiary gathering skill.
  12. Efficiency just reduces the time it takes to complete crafting and gathering missions. Crit increases the chance for a critical. Criticals are either extra goods produced or better quality equipment, depending on the crewskill.
  13. I have done two space combat missions. Other than that, all my XP has been through questing. I skip most heroic quests because I usually can't find groups. And I'm still out-leveling the content. It's gotten to the point where I don't even bother with bonus missions unless they're part of a series of stages. I'm playing for the story as well as the game, so I would welcome a slower leveling rate as long as the content keeps coming.
  14. I'd like to add, if you're stacking so much crit to proc the vent heat talent, it might be worth it to stack surge as a third priority. Surge increases cirtical damage bonus, so that'll scale nicely with the crit we're already stacking.
  15. You'd only get that much if each one is a medium or above lockbox. I don't know the numbers, but it feels to me that you get mediums only about 20% of the time, the rest you break even. Best I can figure with some quick napkin math is an average 40% return on investment. With 5 companions and maybe 7k total mission cost, that's 2.8k in 30 minutes. I'm level 33 and that already isn't so much, questing missions are starting to give more than 1k reward each.
