  1. I realize there are Heroics, FP and OP and I'm not talking about those, although I think those need a little help too in places. I know it's sad someone has to ask this in an MMO or any game that allows multiple players to play together but... I've recently started playing again as a sub as I have introduced some friends back into the game. We made a few characters and are running them through the class stories as a group. There are some little bugs but so far, no problem. Obviously, if two of us are running a character following the same story (such as two sorcerers) we have to do the class instances twice or not together. It's always been like this and I can understand. Honestly, most of my friends stopped playing before RotHC and SoR came out so I ran through those mostly solo and our starting characters have not made it through their respective stories to see how playing through those two expansions handle a group. On the other hand, I have experienced part of KotFE and KotET as a group which had this problem in areas. And recently we used our boost to try out Onslaught (actually it was an accident when one of our group made a character and didn't realize they chose Onslaught instead of normal, so we all made an Onslaught character to help her). Anyway, we learned quickly that the Onslaught story missions are not very conducive to playing in a group. We have to repeat almost every mission extra times depending on how many we have in our group so each of us can get credit for doing them. On top of that, we are not finding Onslaught very entertaining and quite buggy so having to do everything more than once so we can play together and get credit has become somewhat of a put off to even continue the story. I know everyone is different and there are definitely some players who prefer to play alone and that's great. What I'm asking is make the missions, events, stories, etc. for both, single and grouped players. The way the class stories were done in the classic were great and can be done even when everyone experiences the same story instead of separate class stories. Although, It would be great to have class based chapters or DLCs... just allow us to bring our friends to experience it with us in a group and not have to do it up to three extra times. Especially when the decisions we make as characters in the story end up just being quips or side comments and doesn't really alter what happens. Thanks, Kera
  2. There are many problems with this encounter that are secondary and create a need to be fixed. 1. There's the main problem of the bugged boss fight. Yes there is a work-around but it is not known by everyone and it is absolutely not obvious. What not fixing the encounter does. Some background first... it typically takes at least a half hour to get a group for a Master FP using the LFG tool for me usually much much longer. So when I say someone drops group or exits and we have to find another, that means double the time it takes to get a Master FP group and typically means I'm not getting one. I tend to go days without getting a Master FP group. So much so that I've almost given up trying to get one. 2. Causes players to sometimes exit on entering. 3. Causes players to exit on first wipe when someone doesn't know the work-around. 4. Out of all the times that I've been in this FP, no one has stopped to explain the work-around before jumping in, wiping and exiting. I don't think I've ever finished it on Master and it is the only one to finish for the social mission that I have had for years. Basically, players have gotten so used to this being a problem they just drop it without trying. Causing what has been said.. a lock out and roughly another hour before being able to get another group for any Master FP. They don't even feel like it's worth the time to explain the work-around before hand at this point. I'm a casual player so I don't get on every day and try Master FPs, simply because it takes too long to get a group for them. Usually by the time I get a group I'm logging off or I never get one the whole time I'm on. What this causes is that I hardly do Master FPs. Then when I do get into one, I don't know the master mechanics or 'work-arounds' or even forget the ones I did know since it was months since I was able to get in one. So fix these bugs, please. It's not just fixing the encounter, it's fixing the social aspects of the game. It's fixing the availability of a part of the game that would be more used if there were less bugs... (shouting out to Star Fortresses and the Kilran encounter as well as others). Hopefully this is read sincerely, Kera
  3. Yeah, it says up to 15 minutes depending on 'my' email service but it's funny when I'm emailing friends back and forth getting their emails almost instantly even when they are using other services and I don't get it for a long time... 45 minutes you say? I gave up and left. I came back and if finally came in but was no longer any good. I had to do it again. Just saying, don't blame my service, Bioware. Maybe it's a deterrent to post on the forums. By the time you get the email, you've forgotten what you wanted to post.
  4. I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon here. I've submitted the bug here before.. maybe twice... since that infamous patch that caused it. Now all the bugs that were plaguing the Star Fortresses are still alive and kicking as well as these new ones. Bioware changed some things (I'm guessing to make them more difficult for the growing gear scores) but didn't fix anything. The list that I can remember: 1. The grapples tend to throw you to your death or make you land facing the edge although your avatar looks to be facing the correct way. 2. Enemies are still hiding inside walls or machinery where my companion can fight them but I can't. 3. Exarchs sometimes bug in the reactor rooms where you have to turn off the reactor by not allowing you to continue while the exarch being invulnerable and nonreactive. 4. Companions not only disappear when using an elevator, the whole companion interaction bar disappears. 5. Sometimes, not often, enemies will be invulnerable (takes damage but never loses health) and I have to run away and make it follow for a bit before it becomes vulnerable again. Please, do a search on Star fortress bugs in here and see how many of your player base is complaining about these. Notice how there are hardly any players ever doing the Star Fortresses. I could be wrong but I think it's because of the bugs. If the bugs were fixed, the SFs would become more popular. I have hope since the SFs have been one of my favorite types of 'FP' and would like more 'dungeon crawl-ish' types but without the bugs. Thanks, Kera
  5. I recently bought the Coruscant stronghold. When I try to visit my new stronghold, I arrive in the garage. The garage is not a room of the stronghold that is part of the initial unlock. I can not go anywhere else in the stronghold except the garage since the door is locked shut. I cannot visit the actual rooms I do have unlocked from the initial purchase of the stronghold. Please fix this so I can actually use the actual rooms that I have unlocked in my stronghold.
  6. I must admit I'm a little upset at these way these two companions are brought back. I must say that I have not played the newest chapter because of this reason so there might be something I don't know. I despise Malavai Quinn. He is and always will be a traitor. He is a traitor twice in the story and might even be three times with some considerations. He's a sniveling coward that would sacrifice his own mother to save himself, if you're honest about it. If I chose the Empire, he'd be out the airlock within 10 seconds (or how ever long it takes to escort him there and open the door). I love Elara Dorne. She is honest and strives to do her best in whatever she attempts. Her loyalty is complete and she would take a laser blast for you if needed. The ONLY reason she was advanced in the Republic military is because of the Trooper. She was headed down a dead end because of her past and it was the Trooper character that took her in and allowed her to shine. The Trooper is who showed the Republic how good and how loyal of a soldier she could be. I would take Elara in as a member of the Alliance right away. **Possible Spoilers ahead** The Republic thus far has showed almost nothing of interest in the Alliance. They barely help and stand away not wanting to bring down the wrath of, anyone... The Hutts, Zakuul, The Empire, Tatooine moisture farmers, etc. I can tell you now, I will not willingly side with the Republic. Their leaders even tried to assassinate me while the rest of the Republic didn't seem to care that their government did it. The Empire seems to legitimately want to ally with the Alliance for mutual benefit. Of course, they can't be trusted until they prove themselves but they well on their way to doing this. At the very least the government are in full support of the Alliance and are well informed of the amalgamation of what makes it up. A wrong move will cause dissension in the ranks and the force that took down Zakuul, will most likely be turned on them. This being said, I would like myself allying with the Empire, sending Quinn through the airlock and asking Dorne to accompany me on missions to further the Alliance. But if I have to side with the Republic to get Dorne as a companion, it'll look like I will get no new companion and that is troubling. This is one of those 'game altering decisions' that doesn't have to be game altering. Join the Republic and get the beloved Dorne who will jump on a thermal detonator for you or join the Empire and get Quinn who will stab you in the back the first time you do something he doesn't like. Let us choose our companion without the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance depending on which one we choose, please? The two companions are not powerful icons of their respective factions but we have to make a choice just as powerful to get one of them? As far as loyal to the Empire or the Republic, the stories are already out the window. If a devout imperial or a devout Republic droid can join the Alliance so would anyone. It might be that an imperial recruited the devout imperial, he still joined the Alliance which is NOT imperial and same for the droid in response to the Republic. The stories can be made. As bad as KotFE and KotET stories were, Elara can just as easily join the Alliance after being forced back into mainstream Republic military and to be continually treated like an outsider borderlining on imperial spy. Quinn could be the imperial spy that he is and seeded into the Alliance to inform on it to the Empire. Explanation stories done. Easy reasons why either companion would leave their faction to join the Alliance.
  7. I wouldn't mind having story mode for all the FPs, as well. First of all, they may not be part of any class or planet story arc, but they are still stories within the game. In fact, most of the FPs on the Empire side promote Darth Malgus so when you do the 'story' for the Battle of Ilum, you even get the alluded option to join him. If you played all the FPs with him giving you the missions and ending the mission turn-ins with him, it is very possible you could be swayed to join his new empire... and I do wish that was an option for a couple of my characters . So yes, +1 for story mode for all FPs.
  8. The Endgame server is only open to max level characters (current max) where once there is level upgrade the players can stay and play to max level but since it'll only be 5 or 10 more levels, it shouldn't be a problem. This server works as if you used a level token and when you make a character you are instantly at the lowest level of the most current expansion. It would be for subs only I'm sorry to say since the focus of this server would be endgame content. This server would be for all those players who don't want to play and just want a max level character so they can raid, pvp or grind. Regular severs need players who want to play the game. Having a server dedicated to endgame might even bring back some of your lost raiders. Keep the server switching options so once the players who achieved endgame from 'playing' and want to start playing with the non-players, can move if they want.
  9. Yeah, I think it has to do with sight distance or rather draw distance. If you notice, sometimes you can see a patrol that isn't moving until you get close enough to it or as long as you are looking at it. I've noticed this with the companions. They will not follow me if I'm not looking at them and when I get into a fight, it takes them forever to catch up and often times, I'm finished with the fight before they ever arrive. On the other hand, before the fight, if I look back toward my companion, it suddenly figures out I'm not there and decides to run and catch up. So right now, I'm constantly looking back at my companion while moving to make sure it's close enough to get into any action that may happen. The healing distance bug is a problem that has been brought up a few times now. Hopefully they fix this. I think what happens is, if it's a ranged companion, they only get close enough to attack and attack range is usually much further than healing range. This means they are not close enough for the companion AI to decide to heal you. I do miss the old AI a bit. If it was a healer, sometimes they wouldn't even fight at all, just heal. If you went behind a column out of line of sight, they would even move to get you back into line of sight. Sometimes this would cause them to blunder into another group of enemies but not often.
  10. Why are there 'jet'packs when there is repulsorlift technology? It seems everything has repulsorlift and only uses combustion for maneuvering, at least for ground vehicles. So don't jetpacks use repulsorlift tech and only use combustion for maneuvering? I guess the same reason the Empire or the Republic allows people to run around in their fleet command space station on rancors or in tanks/walkers. Such a strange mixed up galaxy. I mean considering the Empire absolutely would not allow that to happen in a controlled environment... like a military fleet commanded space station. The Republic... well, they pretend to like aliens and make sure most of them have those menial jobs like cleaning up after the rancor on their military fleet commanded space station...
  11. I would actually agree with this but in the opposite way. When there is a very limited part of the game that has the bonus, a secondary bonus could be implemented. This secondary could possibly not have as much of a bonus. For example, there are not very many who take advantage of the Ops bonus in my experience for two reasons. First, it takes a long long long time to sit in the queue before an Ops actually pops. Second, when the Ops actually pops, the elitist tend to be elitist and quit before the Ops gets anywhere causing the rest to sit waiting on a queue to replace them for a long long long time (before giving up as I have still been unable to finish an Ops because of this). Third, this tends to cause other players trying out Ops to never try it again (thanks elitists!). Star Fighter is another that has such a high learning curve with sadistic players that it causes newer players not to do it again. For these too not as popular parts of the game, having a secondary Bonus to do would be nice. I realize this is supposed to be incentive to play those other parts of the game, but I don't think it's working as intended... except for PvP which is already the way to 'exploit' fast GC levels even without the bonus.
  12. Two bugs I experienced in the FP Kaon: 1. When our tank clicked on one of the turret control relays, I was kicked to my desktop. I was running up to where he was doing it so it could be the combination of him clicking the relay and me running while a sun flare from Huttspace enveloped Rishi... 2. The last NPC we have to talk to disappears for some at the end after the boss fight. This happened to me so I left and tried to come back but was removed from the group somehow during loading.
  13. The chat menu options don't seem to all work. When I uncheck some of the chat options that I don't want to see in my chat window, I still see them. Mostly this affects custom chat channels. I turn off seeing others logging into and out of the chat and I still see them doing it. Many times it's more spam than guild recruiting and credit buying put together. Please fix this so that my chat windows only show me what I want to see. I have a few chat windows all separated with different information for a reason and I'm guessing the whole purpose of having multiple chat windows is for this very purpose.
  14. I could be mistaken but if I remember correctly, you can get the mission to use the item mod station before you get your moddable blaster. I believe you get your moddable blaster as part of the last mission on Hutta but get the mod station mission just before that. I think they assume you are going to finish the last mission before you do the mod station or do the mod station so you are ready to gear up your blaster once you get it. I could be wrong, though. I haven't played a starting BH in a while.
  15. I started on Farathra's Pleasure Barge or something similar to that (I don't even remember the name anymore) as my first server. If I remember correctly that merged, along with a couple others into Harbinger. I didn't notice anything change personally but I was still lower level and not really in a guild and, at that time, never even looked into Legacy. I was barely playing the game to tell you the truth. I will say that the thing I hated about it the most was having to change a couple of my characters' names. Names I had since launch and had to change them to merge onto a different server where they probably didn't have those names as long as I did. I'm not saying they didn't have them since launch but it was pretty unsatisfying. On another note, I feel for servers that have a low pop. But it's not the be all end all answer either. Now I'm on Harbinger which I've been told is one of the highest pop servers and still I have a terrible time getting groups, especially for the more mundane things like a Star Fortress or Heroics or even just planet missions. Sure, there's the group finder for FPs but that still takes forever and forget it if you want to do a Master level FP. The que will NEVER pop. It never pops when trying to do master Uprisings either. I'm stuck doing tacticals or everyone wants to solo. MMO = solo game that just happens to have other players in it that want to solo.
