  1. I'm a returning player, back in the game after a long hiatus (last content played was when Aivela/Esne was added). I have characters on both factions, though none currently have played through the Onslaught content, nor have reached level 75. I'm looking to get back into endgame content and Conquests, with some PVP and Starfighter mixed in. I'm looking for a guild that has at least the following: - Focused on competing for conquest spots (Guild ship & SH, bonuses unlocked, etc.) - Endgame operations, gearing & crafting - Double-sided guild (having both factions guilded) - Discord server for communications and offline banter not critical but would be preferred. - Patient and willingness to help new or returning players get re-acclimated with the game. There's probably more that I could get into but just getting my foot in the door to re-establish myself in the game, and get back into the team mindset would be great. If you'd like to know more about me, or want to ask me questions, please do not hesitate to message me!
  2. Hi folks, I've recently moved a bunch of toons over to Ebon Hawk (Harbinger was just getting too toxic for my liking), and I'm hoping to land somewhere that does a little bit of everything in the game. I'm not much of an RP'er, but wouldn't be opposed to getting back into it again. As for what I do, I do a little bit of everything. PVE, PVP, GSF, Conquests (big thing for me right now, as I still want to try and capture the last few planetary achievements that I don't have), operations, questing, helping out new players get comfortable. I have a mix of toons on both Republic and Empire sides, so having a single home for both sides would be preferable. I also do Twitch streams on my channel from time to time (Riderpride639 is my Twitch handle if you want to look me up). So having fellow guild members who also stream or don't mind participating on my streams as well is also a plus.
  3. Man this thread blew up in a hurry. Okay, so after reading a handful of pages, and trying to discern where people are getting angry here, I may need some help in clarifying their positions. So from what I understand, they've now closed a loophole that allowed players to basically get a single crystal and circumvent the collection process and not have to pay CC's in order to unlock them on every character (which, understandably, Bioware wants to obtain revenue for, now that tunings are also affected). But I see people complaining that they have paid for the unlocks and are inconvenienced by this whole thing now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you paid to unlock the crystal account wide, and you wanted to move that crystal....why wouldn't you just obtain another copy from your collections on the toon that you want it on? What am I missing here? I need a summary or something, because I'm extremely confused as to why people think that this is such a bad thing for them.
  4. And Tier 4 is 14 (which I can confirm after opening a pair of them on my GC300 sniper)
  5. So would this possibly be related to not being able to get onto Iokath? I just transferred a handful of toons to EH, been decorating SH's without much issue, and wanted to jump to Iokath to do stuff, but it just sits on a loading screen, then boots me to character select after a couple minutes of not moving.
  6. Why? I enjoy them. Why punish players like myself that enjoy these little additions to the gameplay?
  7. What do they need to fix, exactly? Crates are not meant to be the primary source of gearing anymore, like they'd initially released. Gear can be obtained from all bosses in operations, like it should have been when 5.0 was released. As well you can earn (and subsequently pick and choose) gear through Unassembled Components via PVP and GSF (though the number of components you get I believe still needs to be increased slightly). Command Crates are now a supplemental form of gearing. If you're only using crates to gear, then there's two things here. A) You're definitely doing it wrong. B) What are you doing in the game that you feel the need to have the best gear for?
  8. You can also do group finder flashpoints, PVP, GSF and heroics to help boost levels. Quick question though, since you said you're underleveled going to Alderaan. Did you finish Tatooine first, before going to Alderaan? If not, then do Tat first, that'll get you up to snuff before hitting up Alderaan.
  9. I think the problem with these bugs is that they do not happen with any consistency which would give way to an easier solution being found. Perhaps they do know of a fix, but when applied, it creates something else even more game breaking. We don't know what they're doing behind the scenes for these things. As for the Jindo Krey fight, I remember reading somewhere else in these forums that it appears to happen when the DPS becomes a little too good, and pushes his internal phase clock (for lack of a better term) too quickly with regards to the ship. The other players' suggestions were to not go full on hardcore DPS for the first little while, allow the ship phases to do their thing, and once the ship goes down, then hit him full force.
  10. Just an FYI, they are under no obligation to reimburse time lost. The expansion being delayed affected nothing, as it was not a paid-for expansion. You agreed to the ToS which states that servers may be unavailable for any reason. They have stolen nothing.
  11. At least one other person in this entire thread picked up on Kai Zykken. I didn't even get so much as a quote. Lost and forgotten. Zykken's new Empire will rise! Also, Jaxo has an option of dying in the story, thus she couldn't be a viable choice.
  12. I took a bit of a quick skim over the thread, but I'm surprised this name hasn't come up in anyone's possible suspect list. Kai Zykken. It's totally him.
  13. So there's a guy on Harbinger, Imperial Fleet, that's selling Twitch codes, basically he's mass-creating fake accounts to make Twitch accounts with, and signing them up for Amazon Prime to get the promo codes and selling them to players on fleet. Something about this screams to me that it's against TOS/EULA. I've already reported him, just to be on the safe side, and let BW handle how that should be investigated, but I'm not overly well versed on the ins and outs of the game rules. Thoughts or insights?
  14. There should have been another mission that appeared in your quest log, I think it's called Final somethingorother, and it directs you to talk to someone on the fleet to start that questline. If you don't have the mission, check your mission log in case you hid it by mistake. Other than that, check the fleet for some purple quest markers and see if it turns up there.
  15. Well from the looks of things, I'm fairly certain it's one of two things. You may have been part of a merge (I don't recall when the last one happened), in which case, if you were moved to a destination server, the destination server name always takes priority, which could have forced the change. Alternatively, there is a distinct possibility that it could have been reported for a violation (what that could be I have no idea. Maybe religious reasons, or someone who's more of a Diablo fan taking offense. I might be reaching here). As for what you pay for, you pay for access to the servers. That's all. So to jump down their throats is a bit overdramatic and unnecessary. At the end of the day, these are pixels in a video game. Take a deep breath and relax. In the grand scheme of things, it's just a name.
