  1. *raises a hand* Me and a friend did it for the first time in hutt ball, the top DPS was medal chasing in Hutt Ball when we could have used him to help get people off the ball carrier due to them having 3 healers.... We called him out on it and he didn't like it. He got a little abusive so we pushed back... Not proud of it but sometimes the medal chasers just need to be told. Also had a run in with someone on Alderaan, there was a chance we could grab a turret buck and a group of 3 in the same guild all sat at left. I called them out on it and they too were chasing defense medals!!! He then whispered me and apologised.... only to slag me off in another /w which should have been in guild chat. Needless to say anyone from his guild ain't getting healed in a warzone ever again unless they are doing the objective Sometimes it's needed but not abusive just telling people that they shouldn't be in WZ's if they're not going to bother with the objectives.
  2. You join the queue for a WZ you know what you're signing up for... Random teams, Random opponants and at least 15 minutes of match play. Plus you know that you'll either win or lose when you join the queue. If you're going to pick and choose your fights then a debuff should be added to those who constantly abuse the 'leave warzone' option. Plus there should be a valor loss for those involved. The only time I've ever left a WZ is while the pre match timer is still ticking down. I wouldn't dream of leaving when a match was in play, it's not fair to those who are actually trying for a win.
  3. Don't use stealth? As a healer and almost obviously marked in most matches, stealth is my ally from the spawn right through to my destination... it slows me down but it means I can get to where I need to be without the other team seeing which side of a game I'm going for. AS for 3? STUN AND RUN!!!!! If you're in hutt ball and you're killing enemies while we have the ball, you're only helping them out by putting them in our path.
  4. Can't use it.... I'm a WZ player, casual timings so don't get to do PvE much... I much prefer WZ's and despite being team based I don't get social points for it. It seems social in SWTOR means selecting an option in a group and pressing space bar to skip content.
  5. Oh Gee... We're losing as a team because we've never played together. Use chat and get on with it, don't EXIT WARZONE. There's no excuse for it... You join the queue you know what you're joining for and you should play that game as a result. You have th option of ranked now if you don't like PUGs.
  6. If you join a WZ queue you know what you're entering... so there fore there's no real excuse to leave whilst the match is going on. A Debuff is needed not just a 15 minute ban but affect their Valor ranking and Ranked score The folks who leave because their team is losing usually care a lot about that. I know folks who leave all the time "We're teh best PVP guild on the server" - Really? I've never seen you stay long enough to really rate you as the best... Some folks have to leave due to IRL issues and by the time those issues are up... the 15 minute debuff will be gone
  7. To be fair, they're likely to find out quicker from people complaining. They have a lot of servers ticking over and it often takes us to bring it to their attention Give 'em a break it's just gone down...
  8. Is the OP having a laugh? Although if there is a sage healer in my group I tend to focus heal them as it gives them an infinite pool of energy to pull from I'm a scoundrel so my energy pool isn't so infinite, I have to pop cooldowns or use a shoddy heal to get energy back up!
  9. What good is fame if you're a pauper, forced to dress up in social slave girl outfits to make up for the credit loss? HUH!?!?! Although if you just PvP, you can't wear that cause you won't have the social points to be able to wear it
  10. It's great that pure PvE players get to benefit from Social Points and FREE Credits... we... we just get the credits, I hope they enjoy modding up their social gear
  11. Well, the pokemon announcer had to go somewhere
  12. I spent the majority of yesterday running round with my Sawbones in WZ's convinced that I'd had a stealth nerf  I just wasn't hitting ANY crits at all despite being at 39% on the crit-o-metre..... Was madness!
  13. The problem is your end, not the games. He wasn't being a troll. Although they have done something to the hutt ball air lifts and they do appear to make you lag now by not sending you anywhere and then you appear where ever you were supposed to land.
  14. I met my first troll today in a WZ on my new server. The irony was that being the healer I knew the premade we were up against and knew that I'd have at least four people on me every time I showed my face near the objective or started doing my job which was healing. I said to them you'll either be a man down or you can help me out. Half way through the match I have this guy calling me the worst healer ever, his companion could heal better than me. I told him that he's going the right way to get heals in the future. Of course we were losing but the score board popped and I was only 20k below their healer in heals which ain't bad considering they were on me within seconds every time. There's just no need for it. What's annoying me more at the moment is people LEAVING warzones when the outlook is bleak.
  15. Have to agree with the poster above me. Brains are needed in objective based PvP... brains and people who are actually willing to do the objective. Huttball is a hard map due to the super fast running folks but if you can anticipate as a healer whcih side a player will go with the ball, you can indeed heal from down on the ground as long as they're near the edge Totally different map but yesterday on Alderaan there was a healer who was NOT going for the middle cap and he had plenty of time, they were holding people down by their spawn side and they were ages away but instead he kept casting heals and when I asked why he wasn't capping he said he was a healer and he was doing his job. I'm a healer too and I practically matched his heals despite running around trying to cap. As a healer my view is Objective over heals... if someone has to die because I have to stop and rescue the ball person or try to cap, then I'll let them die for the win I hate the players who think medals/roles trump the win.... it's annoying. I've vowed that next time I see this healer I'm going to ignore the objective just once n show him how it's done lol. Huttball has classes better suited for ball carrying... it's the way it is, that's why you're put in teams... so you can WORK as a team to ensure those who need to get the ball, get teh ball.
