  1. <Delusions of Grandeur> is looking to fill 2 spots on our Saturday raid team. Roles are somewhat flexible, although a dps and a heal would be ideal. We run 5-8pm PST. About Us: Delusions is a “real life first” guild, comprised of adults with jobs and families and other responsibilities (hence, the one-night-a-week raiding schedule). We love taking on challenging content when we have the opportunity to game, but also believe that fun should come first, always, whether we’re doing NiM progression or mindlessly facerolling SM. We’re mostly doing whatever content strikes our fancy at the moment, depending on who we have available, but our plan is to start heading in to R4 Vet mode once we’ve filled our open spots. About You: We’re a HM/NiM group, so you should know your class pretty well, as a certain level of dps/hps is required for success in that content, but we’re happy to take on players with little or no raiding experience, provided you’re interested in learning and open to constructive, respectful guidance. You should also be prepared for some fairly nerdy discourse and the occasional dad joke. If you’re already in a guild that you’re happy with, but would like to raid with us, that’s fine – it would be great if you could put your raiding toon in the guild for the sake of convenience, but not necessary. How to contact us: Feel free to post a reply to this thread, or join our discord and let us know you’re interested in the raid. Thanks for reading!
  2. <Delusions of Grandeur> is looking for a dps for our Republic raid group, running 5-8pm Pacific on Saturdays. We’re a laid back group with a lot of experience that puts fun first, always. We’re currently working on HM Dxun. If you’re interested, please shoot me a PM here on the forums, or hop in to our Discord and say hello. Thanks!
  3. Quick raid team update - we're still looking for a permanent dps for Saturday raids (5pm - 8pm Pacific). Our current fill-in will likely be less available when bars and stuff are open again
  4. Hey GaiusPatton! Sent you a PM with our Discord info. Hope to see you soon!
  5. Update on the guild and recruitment needs: Delusions has hit Guild level cap! Now that conquest points get thrown out like candy, it probably won’t seem like that big a deal in a few months, but we’re proud of it. This means we have full XP/Rep/Renown boosts – we welcome new and returning players looking for a friendly home to level up or gear up some toons for double XP and beyond! It also means we have access to the full complement of guild perks available to us. We’re also looking for a permanent dps and a healer for our Saturday raid team (5pm -8pm Pacific), and alternates of all roles. We’ve finally gotten around to working on Dxun Vet mode with some temporary fill-ins, and would love to keep that momentum going. Feel free to check out our website for more info, or shoot me a PM.
  6. Delusions recently hit Guild level 51, and with it max bonuses on XP/Rep/RXP! Still looking for more cool people to join us.
  7. We kill grophets so you don’t have to! <Delusions of Grandeur> will be opening up the Rishi datacrons on Sunday, 2/16 at 5pm PST, and will summon people to them for an easy click-and-go. What do you need to do? Just be on the Republic fleet at 5pm and watch for our general chat spam. We’ll invite you to an ops group and summon to the datacrons. Once you’re summoned, just click on the datacrons and voila! If you’d rather just meander over to the datacrons by yourself once they’re open, that’s fine too. There’s conflicting info on how long they stay open, so you’ll want to be quick. Requirements: A pubside toon that has a starship. Imp toons will also be able to manually travel to the location themselves. Will it cost me anything? Many grophets . . . died . . . for these stats . . . . but what do you care! There are certain advantages to being at the top of the food chain and carrying a lightsaber. There’s no charge for this, and tips are neither expected nor encouraged. Disclaimer: You will not receive the achievements that you get by doing the whole process to get the datacrons yourself (Wolf of Rishi, Incredible smell discover, etc). You have to go through the whole grophet-killing, pheromone-acquiring falderal for that (afaik, you can still get those achievements later if you are so inclined). As a chaser, we’ll also be doing a quick summons to the Makeb Endurance datacron and the Mek-Sha Mastery Datacron, so stay in the ops group if you want to get those done as well. See you Sunday!
  8. I thought they had fixed this issue, but maybe not. If that is the issue, one thing that may work is to restart the chapter “Taking Flight” (I think it’s chapter 8). This chapter starts off with T7 as your companion. Do not replay the whole chapter, or you'll lose him again. Just go through the early convos/cutscenes until you are able to play. T7 should be your active companion. Exit out. He should be back in your companion list from then on.
  9. Hey there! Please check out <Delusions of Grandeur>. We’re a “Real Life First” guild of fun, friendly. knowledgeable people who have jobs and kids and various other adulting to do, but enjoy challenging content when we have the opportunity to play. If you’re looking to raid at some point, we do have a healer spot open on our Saturday team (5pm to 8pm PST). You can check out our website for more info: https://www.wehavedelusionsofgrandeur.com/ If you’d like to join, just do a /who delusions in game and ask for an invite.
  10. Small update on raid team needs - we're looking for a permanent tank OR healer. And general membership and backups as always.
  11. I've experienced this as well. If you are running borderless window, in my experience an easy fix is to click on something outside the swtor window. I have two monitors and usually have discord up on the secondary one. If I click on discord, frames return to normal. No idea why, but seems to work consistently.
  12. Update - due to some Real Life schedule shifting, we have an open spot for a Tank on our Saturday raid team. and always looking for back ups and general membership.
  13. This is my main gripe about 6.0 gearing. Gear management is just so tedious. Spend 15 minutes in a flashpoint, spend 5 minutes sorting through gear. That’s just not a good ratio of playing the game vs performing tedious management tasks so you can continue playing the game. It would be nice if there was some sort of auto or mass disintegrate based on filters you select – not 306? Zap. Not modable? Zap.
  14. 1) Makes a lot a sense. Thanks. 2) Is probably part of it. Particularly if a crowd is all doing the same thing.
  15. Actually, you’re misunderstanding my question a bit. Basically, your perspective and Stormcrest’s is nothing new. My question isn’t why some people don’t care at all about objectives. My question is why there seems to have been a massive uptick in this type of player in WZs since 6.0. Totally unscientific, but seems to me there’s much more of this even compared to a couple months ago. For me, the answer to why I play objectives is pretty simple – winning is more fun for me than losing. Even if my main objective for being in the WZ in the first place is conquest points or just finishing my weekly or whatever, and that doesn’t necessarily hinge on whether we win or not, I’d still rather get that stuff and also win the map. But to each his own – I can totally understand why some would have basically the same view point, but replace “winning” with “kill a bunch of people,” and replace “losing” with “being bored out of my mind guarding snow when my scrub team is probably gonna lose anyway.” And you’re 100% right about it being contagious – I do the same thing. If my team’s obviously gonna lose and there’s just no point, I totally switch into number farming mode. I’m just curious as to why there’s suddenly so much more of it, especially considering WZs are less efficient in terms of gearing than spamming flashpoints. If the reverse were true I would totally expect an uptick in players not caring about objectives, or even just unabashedly AFKing. Like when the M1-4X recruitment mission was first out, for example - tons of people just wanted to finish their matches and be done with it. But 6.0 hasn't really added any incentive to doing WZs compared to other activities, so it’s just odd to me. Maybe its just the usual influx of new players with an expansion.
