  1. A graphics update to do what? There is nothing to update about the graphics. They are not going for photo-realism, and they never will be. If you don't like the graphics, it's just because you don't like their chosen art style.
  2. Both the Seeker Droid and Macrobinoculars quest series would be fine if they didn't require a group at the end. They would be exactly what they should be, which is a potentially fun diversion. I treated them like the space missions. They were just something to do when you weren't busy doing anything else. Then, "SURPRISE! You need a group!"
  3. That would at least be a start. The other possibility would be to make the quests compelling enough to do multiple times. As long as one person has the quest, everyone has a chance at some loot. The loot would spawn in a chest that would only appear after everyone in the instance clicked the quest finisher thing to do the dialogue so it couldn't be exploited infinitely, but still enough for people who have already done it to get something for helping out others.
  4. Would the big red button also help your comprehension? The problem with the Macro Droid and Seeker Droid quests isn't that the final quest series parts are difficult to do with the right group. It's that it's nearly impossible to GET a group to do them at all. 99% of the Macro Droid and Seeker Droid stuff is tedious single-player stuff (that apparently very few people want to do) followed by the final 1% that beats the heck out of "average" gamers. (by average, I mean the average players on the servers) I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have the final series take so ridiculously long, be so unforgiving to leave and come back to, etc. The jumping part broke up three groups. As long as it took to get people even to try to bother, it was all that more painful to see them bail when the fourth fell off for the tenth time in a row. Then, even if you manage to complete the various stages, someone has to bail because of life matters they have to attend to. Good luck finding someone who is at exactly the right step that you are. I know people who've done the first two parts at least six times, had their groups bail on the final encounter, then start all over on the first two parts again once they found new people. People are so unreliable in MMOGs these days that these quests are more like "raid" or "guild" quests that have no business being tacked onto the end of what started out to seem like casual solo content.

  6. That Bioware doesn't exist anymore. If you feel that anyone at Bioware promised you anything, then I suggest you look up their LinkedIn profile to see where they work now.
  7. I don't like mountain climbing. I might have some fun on short hikes, but anything that gets close to what Tom Cruise was doing at the beginning of Mission Impossible 2 or really anything where I'm at any significant risk from falling is out for me. I probably won't ever try to climb Mount Everest. I also don't really care for the ocean much anymore. I enjoyed it as a kid, but it just seems like too much of a risk now. I might go out knee or waist deep, but even then the risk of a shark attack, stepping on a jagged shell, or something else horrible is just not worth it. I'm perfectly happy to stick to the resort pools. What about the rest of you? What are some things you don't enjoy doing?

  9. You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. When an author is writing a story, they are writing the story that they want to write. They don't have some checklist of every special interest group they need to include in their story. If you want representation in media, then make it worth their while. Put up the millions of dollars they need to appease their stockholders. If you can't fund the effort, then don't expect it to happen. You can't legislate creative control. If you want to talk about laws, it's more likely a game would be banned for such content.
  10. In my experience, you don't "lose" anything you have already earned. The only kicker is if you're below the subscriber cap, but over the preferred cap when you turn in a quest that rewards commendations. If that happens, you will lose the commendations from that quest, and never be able to get them back. As for credits, the best I can tell is that any credits earned will always go into escrow once you hit the cap. You just won't have access to them until you buy a consumable release or subscribe. Say the cap is 250k and you are at 500k. If you spend 50k, you will be at 200k with 250k in escrow. Now, you get 100k out of escrow with cartel coins. You will be at 300k usable and 150k in escrow. Until you spend below the 250k cap, then every credit you earn will go to escrow. You could keep the 300k usable until you spend below 250k, but until that time all of your earned credits go to escrow.
  11. People who play RPGs aren't necessarily the same people who play twitch-based games. Look at how many people already complain about the difficulty of the on-rails space missions. Now imagine if they had to actually PILOT the ship. You can compare Dragon Age with Mass Effect. Dragon Age has clicky-style target selection where Mass Effect requires you to aim a bit, even though it still gives a "pause" feature. I don't know how much of a return on their investment Bioware would get from adding X-Wing style content to the game. Maybe something that is more EVE-like would work, but I don't know.
  12. Seriously? Cut them some slack. They had a choice, and they decided to go with the furry community instead. They discussed possibilities of SGRA back before they went broke. They had visions of WoW-level success that did not pan out. They cannot afford to waste money on things that may be so risky as to drive a lot of people away from the game. I can't think of a single mainstream game that has had a boycott over a lack of niche sexual content. I'm sorry, but you've just illustrated the core of your problem. Minorities do not pay the bills. Look at how many subscriptions WoW has lost. WoW has LOST more than TWENTY times the number of subscribers that have ever complained about SWTOR not having SGRA. Were there even 100k people demanding SGRA for SWTOR? Really? 100k is nothing to a game developer. The truth is that large gaming publishers aren't going to risk their money unless the return is a sure thing. You don't have a right to special representation in media. Maybe try Kickstarter, and fund a project for yourself. The only other option you have is to boycott every game publisher in the world, but they already have more people boycotting them over other things. Look at Skyrim, Dragon Age: Origins, and even KOTOR. Those games have a large modding community to take care of special interest content. Those are the places where you might find what you're looking for. Good luck. To put things into perspective, consider the number of completely awesome things that have gone away due to lack of a large enough audience. There is a reason the TV network ABC is often referred to as "Already Been Cancelled" by a large group of viewers. Even Fox can't be trusted. When a TV show with more than FOUR MILLION viewers gets cancelled, that should tell you something. Even the Firefly fans couldn't save their show.
  13. We tried to tell you, LONG BEFORE RELEASE, that this was never going to happen. It is not cost-effective for them to spend resources on such a niche community. It's not personal. It's just business.
