  1. Yea I was just suggesting a new 4vs4 arena in my previous comment, themed in mandalorian enclave background and maybe not hosted by Baron Deathmark/Giradda but viszla. I agree that pvp areas are fail, I was ranting about a new planet in general since Op was suggesting mandalore(planet) I thought Dxun/Onderon have something to offer for everyone and would also cover mandalorian lore quite well.
  2. I agree with this idea except it would only be a theme just as Giradda the Hutt and Baron Deathmark are the hosts for pvp stuff. IMO death match arenas do fit well in hutt culture and that's fine but mandalorians definitely live by it whether they are actually killed or "KO'd" the FP final scene shows how all the warriors you just defeated were just hurt real bad and not dead. It would be nice to also see a workable arena resembling the kotor 1 Zax the Hutt's duel pit where Gerlon two-fingers and Bendak Starkiller were some famous opponents, only make it 4 on 4. I have always favored Dxun/Onderon as new planets, even though they have been done before they are very abundant in SW lore weather you are tech or force user especially mandalorians deeply entrenched on Dxun, Freedon Naad's temple for sith, and Onderon noble house politics for pubs and their space ports for smugs and agents. So far Ziost definitely needs to blow our minds in 3.2 bc Rishi and yavin are clear cut theme park rail rides and after completing them 6 times now actively trying to grind in different ways, it simply cannot be done.
  3. I like the idea of having armstech for guns and artifice for LS. Also I only mentioned a stat because I was unsure if people or devs would care as much about all this just to tweak the sound on something, therefor a stat addition as well could be a sound solution for the players that mostly care only about numbers and ratings and devs may also be interested in a new thought on the 41 crystal dilemma. My current weapon and favorite sound by far is the Corsair's Pistol dropped from Blood Hunt FP. Sky Ridge pistol also has nice new sound but it's not the same as Corsair's.

This could be done many ways and may have been suggested before in some way but my idea involves an R/E component much like the components of R/Eing everything else and augmenting the crystals themselves (not weapon & no stats) Take the entire Star Wars weapons audio collection BW uses and spread it across all levels of crafted crystals 1 - 60 & so forth (weapons would still have a default audio that was origionally with that weapon). Common "shards" would be awarded for every R/E of a crystal and purple components would have other names from the vocabulary of crystal polishing which I am not familiar with. Most importantly and probably a difficult part of this would be having a sound preview button in your crafting window, or maybe an entire window for everyone's client listing all sounds, categorized by name and rarity color, with a preview button, & greyed out until present somewhere in your inventory and again greyed when absent. When sound shard "augment" is added to any Bound or BoE crystal it (like Armor Augments) becomes ex: Tuned Advanced Hawkeye Black/purple color crystal and >Item BIND< (for all non-Artifice) and BoE crystals remain BoE for Artifice to sell or instead have Artifice create TUNING KITS maybe required as mats in order to assemble this whole process together. If BW and the community do not find weapon Audio that important then perhaps add a minor tertiary stat increase (absorb/Accuracy/Alacrity/Surge/Shield/etc.) along with the sound to increase value and put the bare +41 crystals into the past. This would make artifice alive again imo and add more customization to our favorite weapons. I'm sure many players can remember a time they sought after a sweet weapon - obtained it - and realized its odd audio makes it very annoying to use. Any ideas or dilemmas I may have missed? And should something like this be prioritized by BW in the road ahead?
  5. There are a lot of jet pack chests that still have rocket boot animation. Also I hope they make vizla jet pack have blue jet rings though not quite as big as the ones she had in the cutscenes obviously.
  6. Tbh I prefer setting up and nuking down my burst phase with AP in and around boss mechanics rather than the pyrotech's steady dmg. I read that pyro gets more steady dps on the dummy on 5 min + fights, where AP would be struggling with heat and CD's. IMO don't give AP more bleed dmg over time in place of less burst, that's just making it more a dot spec in line with pyro. High burst specs are designed to fall of after a bit.. It just happens that they designed arenas in a way where the match is determined within a very short window and players turn to burst for results.

Are any AP's out there doing lvl 60 Ops seeing any real use for the DCD on sonic missile, I usually add SM (now a threat drop) onto the end of my burst rotations now to to keep threat low while my dps spikes and I thought this DCD would further the convenience for everyone, but I wasn't sure if the shields put on players is doing anything other than making people think "hmm he wasted a talent". Do the shields have a percentage of damaged decreased or is it absorbed entirely? I would assume regular use of this ability could be helpful if timed correctly.
  8. Anyone suggesting AP needs nerfed probably just came from getting rolled on. Fact is: new mechanics + decent dmg + easy L2play for PT's = probable hesitation upon facing an AP in pvp ..first thoughts racing through ppls minds are clearly intimidation due to watching others and themselves get owned. It is a midrange class >without< JetCharge / no stealth / and a less often sprint if specced. I remember pyrotech pre 3.0 was pretty devastating in PvP being the "single target monster" and people were perfectly fine with it.

  10. I have posted on other forums about Dxun being a very fruitful planet for beast type encounters (Cough.. Zakkegg Beast), a Mecca for mandalorian fans, Freedon Naad's temple a place for sith's, and Onderon for jedi politics. But since they made 2 jungle types for SoR expac I am uncertain they would prioritize Dxun. I am crossing my fingers for BW to implement something involving these Trophy Game Hunters though, we are in need of a new Rep >Event< separated from CM. Everyone more or less has acquired what they want from BBA. PS. BW bring back the Sith Tremor sword from the KotoRs (NM raid drop?) people will drool over it !
  11. Good ideas ..I do believe planet would be too much for an event though. Taking into account the way BW does things like post expansion daily zone patches (CZ-198/Oricon) having a planet similar to CZ -198 where it's just a background wouldn't do much justice in hunting things and an Oricon sized map would require a solid story plot that everyone (that wants gear progression) is intended to run through. I figured if it was an event like bounty week then we could have another Reputation grind etc etc and since it's not a map like the Rakghoul or Gree event -only summon devices and "breadcrumb trail" type things are all that need to be loaded up. Part of the reason I believe bounty week is so easily fit on a whim into their monthly schedule is because of these reasons.
  12. One of the aspects of Rishi that really made alt replay a lil more bearable were the hunter trio "Slayers Three". Angol, Derrus, & Bez Martilla, with their heavy accents, interesting armor, and juicy quest (that they were on) to hunt the most feared creatures in the galaxy I was captivated yet bummed that they were mere dailies. I recall a very similar quest in Kotor on Tatooine where a galactic beast hunter named Komad Fortuna requested your help to defeat the krayt dragon. My suggestions for the game would be to tie the Martilla trio into world boss achievements and or create a Beast Hunting Event similar to BBA except instead of criminals you would be tracking/scanning down beasts and monsters of varying AI and mechanics. Maybe the martillas would individually help u on some event instanced fights (think The Eyeless but a solo version) in the way GSI droid helps solo FPs, or go the halfasse way and just make them vendors that sit on fleet (IMO it should be both). Items from the vendors could work like the gsi speeders where they require 4-5 items gathered from your beast kills before you can purchase things such as the triple blade sword from the BH class quest on Taris or a Legendary rep mount version of the hover-flatbed trucks from Rishi like the ones in the quest "Courier Network". If BW wants to really get people (including Raid Guilds) involved then maybe make the event shorten world boss respawn timers to 30 mins or so, make them lvl 60 and make most of the rewards come from a weekly for that creature so that camping bosses won't create problems. If the previous is "too much work" then the Cartel Market should at least add the armors in a pack or make the trio stronghold npc options. Tell me what you guys think...
  13. Are fully pvp geared commando healers any good after 3.0? I remember them prior to expac to be quite formidable at staying alive compared to other healers

OP ..I am putting my money on the reason for this bisect is simply because they are concerned with the immensely ridiculous yuzzon vong bull crape that 2 wacko writers that had no concept of Star Wars whatsoever conjured up a very grotesque ending for post RoTJ. It got published as "Expanded Universe" in several books and they essentially created this alien race from >another galaxy< that is immune to everything and I mean EVERY SINGLE tech and force power Star Wars has and also converts (literally raipz) every beloved planet we know into "vong mold". Absolute dumb crap in my opinion. I've been a solid SW fanboy since I was 7 and all this high flying adventure Star Wars gives us suddenly stops (according to Yuzzon Vong trash) oh and did I mention. . . >>They Killed CHEWBACCA!!!<< But on topic - if Disney wants to create a new story for everything after Return of the Jedi the yuzzon vong pose a very ugly and Un-Star Wars roadmap. So the only way to start out on a blank page is to get rid of It, and in doing so any fans of post RotJ stories like imperial remnant/ Kyle Katarn/ Thrawn/ YVong etc etc will have to see it as legacy. As far as SWToR is concerned Disney said that they don't have ANY plans whatsoever on changing lore/canon from before RoTJ so even though we are legacy we are still technically canon since we won't be Overwritten. To sum it up they want everything post ROtJ as a blank page that theyll do what they want with so don't worry.
