  1. This dev team needs to get on the AI voice bandwagon. I get it, the voice actors from the original class stories are long gone, but you should have enough rights in their contracts to replicate their voices for future content. Skyrim mods are taking off with this and ChatGPT, introducing huge voiced conversations with traditional NPCS. I'm sure the SWTOR devs could figure out how to implement something similar.
  2. Hear me out, let's call it.... Star Wars Galaxy: New Galaxies Expansion ! Or SWG NGE for short
  3. An Ironman version of the class stories, complete with an achievement and title, seems like an easy win. Would bring new and past players into the game alike for little to no development cost
  4. Simple solution is for /stuck to kill you on second/third run of the command regardless of situation.
  5. Having been here since Beta I have so many fond memories it's hard to know where to start. Like you, I have a strong affinity for Hoth (it was the planet my beta character logged out on for the final time as the servers counted down to prep for launch; still have that screenshot overlooking the frozen landscape). I remember the challenge of getting some world firsts with the raiding guild <Condemned> on my Sage after launch and participating in closed betas for future raid content. I can recall the intensity of 8v8 ranked with <Casual> on my Assassin, guarding the off node in very close matches, having to fight and win 1v1's knowing no one could be spared to come over and assist. When GSF first came out, I remember playing the Gunship and being an absolute menace on the battlefield, to the point I would have several enemies chasing me almost the entire match, making great friends along the way. Now with 7.0 coming out I'm looking forward to what the future holds for SWTOR and what new experiences await. No game has persistently held my attention like SWTOR has, it has been a good ten years. Here's to the next adventure!
  6. Now that we can get many companions from the other faction as well as the other faction's combat styles, can we please also open up the companion customizations on the collectors edition vendor from the opposite faction as well? I understand limiting the Imperial Trooper and Republic Officer armor sets to their respective vendors, but unlocking the customizations (or simply making them legacy bound) would be great. Thank you!
  7. New update: Assassin/Sorcerer [NEW] Force Cloak now purges all hostile removable effects upon activation. Great change, thank you for listening to us! It should be "Assassin/Shadow" though
  8. Agreed, we need to be able to test mirror classes. Bypassing the class stories by launching KOTFE/KOTET and getting 1 pt DS/LS quickly through diplomacy currently still locks you out from switching to your second combat style even after you select it from the prompt. Seems like a bug
  9. Force shroud should be made innate to vanish without a perk with this new change
  10. The powertech advanced class's republic equivalent, the vanguard, has a rifle. As a bounty hunter, you would be able to select this option.
  11. First impressions: Energized Blade for Deception is absolutely awesome and leads to many more Reaping Strikes. Big boost. Eradication Ray for Hatred is a great buff for burst damage. Combine it with Maliciousness and it makes the spec very fun to play with on demand burst. The new utilities centered around consumption of Dark Ward charges are great for Darkness. Sad from the loss of Retaliatory Grip to reflect damage. Severing Slash and Whirlwind are way less valuable than Force Shroud so the level 70 choice isn't really a choice in my mind. These abilities are basically taken away. Overload is the clear choice at level 20. Overall I see nice buffs for this class without much lost. Very happy with the changes so far. I'm very much looking forward to playing a dark side Republic Shadow.
  12. Played around with all three combat proficiencies, still mostly the Sniper I remember. I think of the three, Engineering definitely needs some love. Sniper will be disproportionality affected by the loss of DCDs and Engineering is the weakest of the three by far. Given that this class does not have a heal/tank role like the Mara it's hard to create three effective specs. Marksmanship is intuitive and exactly what you would think of as a "Sniper". Virulence has great PvE DPS potential and fills the DoT role nicely. Engineering is just not that great and underwhelming overall. Dependence on Plasma Probe for damage seriously hurts this class. I would recommend reworking Engineering to have full mobility without losing the perks of Take Cover, giving it a niche over the other two specs. Calculated Pursuit at level 80 is a move in the right direction, give Engineering a further boost on top of that to differentiate it. Plasma Probe should be like Interrogation Probe and cling to its target, perhaps still retaining the AoE around the target as it moves around. Allow Entrench and Series of Shots to retain mobility in some fashion for this spec only. With regards to "feeling" like a Sniper, Snipers aren't always stationary, especially when you use the Republic naming convention of Gunslinger. Nico Okarr for example may be a Smuggler, but he is also a Gunslinger. Allowing for a fully mobile dual pistol wielding class on top of Mercenary wouldn't hurt and would allow players to model his iconic style seen in cinematics. Marksmen and Virulence each are very strong in their current state. I wouldn't change much beyond considering how the loss of DCDs will effect the class as a whole.
  13. With DCD's being removed it definitely should be going down. That sounds like the main idea for the changes.
