Nice update but can we please get some more info on the oceanic server merge. The minor increase in player base from free to play has not made significant improvement. Our populations are still low and a merger of the servers to one Oceanic server is still the most popular option. Since June 2012 oceanic players have been pushing for a response about this issue, in September we were finally told to wait as "bioware is looking at this issues" then after a few months of no acknowledgement oceanic players took some severe action, mass ticketing, posting on other threads, calling customer support daily for over a month then we get a response in November. "Wait until after after Free-to-play". Well its now January we are still waiting. Many people ask why not leave? as so many others already have.... I personally stay as my guild is awesome and we have fun but very little of that is due to the game itself. We have built a community and swotr is one of our activities. The one that keeps disappointing us with its bugs/features but its sadder that we are seemingly ignored by the decision makers as our small patch at the bottom of the world doesn't seem to generate enough revenue to be listened to.

I'm impressed at how well the community is going and although there have been a few teething concerns we are pulling together and its working. Pvp has made a comeback and there is more people involved in engaging content.

I personally don't see free to play as the saviour of our population concerns on the server. It will if anything increase the less desirable elements on our server such as trolling, spam and an introduction of a player base who have a minor investment in the game as a community. We will have the return of some older player and this will be nice but without operations and pvp being freely available the "massive" side of the mmo genre will not be present in the major aspects of the game. So in summary we will get a population spike but not a solution. However if we develop a strong community then engaging content will be available for all those who wish to be apart of that community.

The server isn't broken and the response by Jeff Hickman is reasonable if not saddening for many of us. Our server has pulled together mostly and we now have a server wide enjin site, events are running and pvp seems to have recovered from a long drought. Rep and Imp guilds are working together to ensure players are able to have a more engaging experience and that is better then it has been in months. Harassment is not a good solution to any problem. I do support the need to have our voice heard and the deafening silence from Bioware for so long was rage inducing and quiet poor of them as a provider. However they have now sent a clear message that we will not see a change such as server mergers or transfers until after free to play.

I'd like to see this event again but including imperial classes. Good idea to have a championship, Ill get on to arranging the imperial side so we can have our champions soon. Give me a few weeks and we'll have a cross faction event.

We should all use the same chat channel, it would make alot more sense than using one for each faction. An Agenda would be nice as would a chairperson and scribe so we aren't just talking off subject or talking over each other like fktrds. I suggest we post agenda items on here and 1 hr before the meeting I can consolidate the items and make an agenda. I'll link it in chat when we meet. There was mention at looking at the population on our servers over the next few days.... well dude its been a few days and I'm hopeful we will get a response soon. With our community confidence low in relation to the service we have received it would some what redeeming if we could get an update on possible solutions/actions relating to our concerns.

OK now I'm a supporter of the merger to improve population and appreciate the efforts of the few who have pushed hard for this subject to be a priority for game developers. But to say the game is unplayable at 50 on Gav Darragon is untrue. Sure off peak its slim pickings out there but get to know people and start forming up stuff to do. Last week I got some ranked warzones going, a few pick up groups for a sm and hm op and thats not including my guild activities. My lockouts are often full by weeks end and getting stuff going isn't hard as the active player base know of each other. Its not all doom and gloom but it has a very dim future if populations remain low.
