  1. Don't want to be convinced one way or another, just want to get an idea for the general state of the game, aside from the wow feel, never had a problem with game play. My problems have always mainly been bugs and populations. I know i phrased it as an opinion question, but I really wanted just a subjective, this is how things are now. Bugs aren't as bad as they were, populations are more stable, that kind of thing. Maybe I need to rewrite the original post.
  2. I guess that is a subjective thing, for me if I notice a bug every hour, then I consider it to be exceptionally buggy. And if bugs are killing me, causing me to get stuck in terrain, getting stuck on scenery, losing loot, getting warped, getting stuck in animations that prevent you from doing anything even on log out/log in, not being able to see what's out of cool down, having quest that are unfinishable because flags were never triggered, having quest unfinishable because flags were triggered early, mobs not losing agro on death and respawn no matter where you respawned. The list goes on, but everyone happened to me every time I tried to play. To be fair I never played launch, but I was pretty shocked that some of the bugs I ran into every day would make it though play testing unfixed. Especially at the initial price of this game.
  3. Thank you, yeah I realized it was going to be buggy, just wasn't quite prepared for how buggy. So at this point the early bugs are pretty well worked out?
  4. Actually, on that pvp thing, I did see some post on that. Something about some getting reduced dps overtime and healers being nerfed...I only really ever enjoyed the PVE to any extent, I was a juggernaught. But I seem to recall them saying they weren't going to balance for pvp, did they back peddle on that and start doing that?
  5. I did have one...it was ME3...then it ended...let's just say I can't bring myself to play it again and leave it at that...so I kinda am revisiting other avenues.
  6. Thanks for the input so far, and as far as the opinion thing goes, I realize we all have different opinions. But it will give me good idea as to how things are going. When I last played the bugs were driving me insane. I kinda felt like one of those experiments where every time you do something they don't want you to do you get shocked. I stopped questing because I kept dieing from so many bugs, so I shifted to crafting/space combat. But then I stopped that because it took so long for my companions to do the missions and I kept having frame rate issues with some of the higher end space combat, and the lower leveled ones don't do much for you. So if the bugs for instance are still there in large part, it wont be worth me even trying because I'll just be super sensitive to that being how it was when I stopped. If I need to wait a few more months to give the game a chance then I'll do that. There was just a lot of negatives for me when I left, and if it's that way when I come back, that's going to be the last time I try. So if someone for instance said, nope haven't seen any of those bugs since last patch and the planet populations really feel lively now, and the new gear looks really awesome when you reaping through the mobs, I might be inclined to think now is a good time to try again. Versus someone saying the bugs are largely still here, the planets tend to feel empty, and the last patch just introduced a new bug where your custom UI resets every time you log in, I'd be inclined to think this isn't the time to join back in. I hope that gives a better idea where I'm coming from in particular.
  7. So I started playing this game in early January. Had some fun especially with the class quest. Had a lot more headaches with all the bugs to the point the game started feeling more like a chore than anything else. So I stopped playing in late February and decided to wait for the game to get worked out. Didn't play all of March and finally went to download the game the other day again, fresh install of my os, and ran into that server connect problem everyone seemed to have. So at this point, I don't really have any urge to play now anyways, but before I completely unsub, I just wanted to get some opinions from others before giving up completely. What I liked initially was the class questing, the way dialog was presented, the little space combat mini game, and the hummm vroommm of my light saber. Also I found pve very forgiving for the most part and enjoyed that there were areas demanding a group but I didn't need to do them to progress. Indeed, I think doing all the content actually tended to over level you. I really thought the crafting system was nifty and liked how customizable the gear was. What I didn't like was the empty feel even when logging in when it said the server population was high yet only seeing 20 people on a planet. The bugs, especially the stuck in fall down animation bug, and the worse one I saw, where vette decided she had enough with the fight and ran off into the sunset agroing every mob on the way and costing me all the loot in the area because it all despawned before I got back. Numerous others of course like when all the deceased mobs despawned on tatooine after I looted but before I could use that dumb device on their bodies first necessitating refighting. I really didn't like pvp...I was empire...can't take anymore huttball. Also didn't like things that pulled me out of the game, like why can't a force user use a pistol, even if not as effectively. And I didn't really like the wow in star wars clothes feel of the game. I came in expecting much more of the KOTOR feel. So that's what I liked and disliked. I've already unsubed, but I thought I'd see what the state of the game is at this time. Is the new content in the patches making things amazingly fun? Are most of the bugs from release worked out? Do the planets feel less empty now? Basically based off of what I liked and didn't like, is there anything from your experience that might make me inclined to try the game again. Honestly...I don't at this point want to download 20+ gigs for a game I wasn't having that much fun with in the first place especially if what I didn't like is still largely unchanged. Thanks ahead of time for any replies. I really wanted to like this game even got in a bit of trouble for looking it up at work a bit too much. It wasn't ever bad just not that fun...kept feeling like work for me, and when it feels like it, well, it is. Edit: Changed post for clarity of what I'm asking. Dropping word opinion, as people seem to think that means I am asking if people like the game. Just want to get an idea of the state of the game. For clarity also, it wasn't fun because of the bugs and the lack of population. I didn't like that every planet I went to had only a handful of people on it. That has always struck me as way too empty for an mmo.
  8. The only ones who fail at getting their investment back in crafting are the ones who fail to understand the market and trade. If you do some planning and follow market trends in your GTN, you should have no trouble netting a profit. Fortunately, many people can't be bothered to study their market enough to make crafting profitable, which is why people like me will succeed even more and love it.
  9. I hear all sides here, and for the most part there are valid points on both sides. The thing is, these problems, aside from the ones created by new patches, were known well before release, so yeah, I think people have a right to be upset that they paid a lot of money, on top of a subscription fee, for a game that was released with known major bugs that hurt play experience. Should we get free game time, no, we are still utilizing a service, so we should pay for it, but neither should customers be completely ignored. Anyone sticking through this period should get more than just the title "Founder" as right now, that will mostly serve as a reminder of suffering frustrating buggy game play. My personal vote is for them to give us a special novelty pet, only available to those that suffered through the beginning. It's a reward that cost them not much more than some coding time, and doesn't adversely affect game play for those coming later on.
  10. Somebody way earlier posted it, not sure where now...but after running into this problem on my warrior, I really want a number count down on my cd's for the last 9 seconds, that would make everything great for me...has gotten harder to play since this was implemented.
  11. Nope, not light/dark gain on that one, and I have that option set...which surprised me, cause that was really dark...shocking that it wasn't a dark side thing, cause it cost 40 companion points with vette...unless it was supposed to have a dark gain on it...which means there was some other bug there...I just don't know.
  12. Oh christ...haha, that's funny as bloody hell. You know, just thinking about it though...seeing your smile emote gave me an idea. If they just put a little smile face, a angry face, a sad face, a shock face next to a wheel seletion, I'd have a much better idea of what the heck my guy was about to do, without needing any more text. Heck, I'd be willing to bet the community would do it for them if they gave us the tools to just make a check next to an emote face for the wheel text and take the most commonly selected ones to display to help choose the choice you want. That would require very little work on their part...I am not even a programmer and I am sure I could code that.
  13. Often, when there are two extreme choices on the dialog wheel, the third will be understood. Everytime I select that, or similar words, he says, "Consider me warned" which i end up selecting quite often because I don't think the other choices match my character.
  14. No kidding, I am starting to think my warriors catch phrase is "Consider me warned."
  15. Thanks a million for that one, I had no idea I could escape out to undo conversation choices...does that work for class conversations too?
