  1. I don't really mind the WAY the crafting system is set up. Where I think it misses the mark is with what you can craft. The fact that very few crafted items are desirable for end-game is a lost opportunity, in my opinion. If I had my way, I'd make shells with set bonuses the only thing you have to purchase from vendors or loot from drops. Everything else (hilts, barrels, armorings, mods, enhancements, augments, crystals, etc.) would be crafted BIS end-game pieces.
  2. Can confirm that this is still broken. I've abandoned and retried this quest continually for the past 24 hours off and on, at least a couple of dozen times. I tried it first by going to Tatooine, then I abandoned and tried by accepting from the Conquest menu. Won't work for me either way.

  4. This seems to be resolved for me today. Everything working normally.
  5. I'm on Star Forge as well, and I've started noticing weird ability delay as of earlier this afternoon. My internet upload speed is 28.12 MBps, my download speed is 290.99 MBps, and my ping is <1 ms. My ingame server lag is showing between 50 and 70 ms. All of my abilities seem to be going off at least a cooldown later than when I activate them.
  6. Bumping as well. This thing still isn't showing up in the group finder anywhere.
  7. I could NOT agree with the OP more. For the longest time after this ability was added, I tried to figure out where to put it in my priority system. I ended up taking it off my bars completely, because - as a Kinetic Combat Shadow - I simply DON'T need it. In PvE or PvP. While I think the addition of another melee ability was the right direction (since Assassins/Shadows have more than enough Force-based ranged options, in my opinion), we simply could not have needed another AoE less. While I think we have more than enough snares/immobilizations as a class, I think the addition of an ability that keeps our opponent from turning (like Concealment's Crippling Slice) would be a nice quality of life improvement to our ability to position correctly, and avoid damage from an opponent's frontal arc. I'm not advocating for that specifically (because I have no idea how it would synergize with the toolkit overall), but some sort of improvement to the Shadow/Assassin melee repertoire might be the way to go, I think.
  8. It's not that any one single factor puts them over the top. It's the fact that every single part of their kit synergizes SO well that it makes them far and above better at what they do than their counterparts in every other class and spec. The DO not have a weak spot. Their high mobility and quickly recycling DCDs allow them just enough wiggle room to go from a contender in a good spot to a nigh-unkillable juggernaut in the hands of anyone who's not asleep at the keyboard. I'm 46 years old. I'm old and slow as hell, and I didn't grow up with a digital device in my hand. I should NOT be able to drive this spec well enough without a lot of practice to top out kills in a random warzone. You kids are way faster, way smarter than I am. The reason we're focused on the self-heals that DPS operatives/scoundrels have COULD be the fact that it doesn't seem thematically appropriate to the class. I mean, the ability of Hatred Assassins/Serenity Shadows to self-heal pales in comparison to that of DPS Operatives/Scoundrels, and that's one of the thematic elements of the class. Evo is probably right. Maybe the self-heals aren't what's making them so freaking durable. Maybe it is the damage reduction, or any one of a dozen other factors. The point is, they have a tool kit that works together SO well that no other class/spec can compare. That's my two credits, anyway. I'm happy to be disabused of the notion if you can point out where I'm getting it wrong, though. I'll happily listen. Y'all stay safe and healthy. HUGS!!!
  9. The problem with Concealment (and DPS operatives in general) is that they have too many tools in their kits. Even in the hands of a mediocre player, they can tank for a bit, deal out heavy burst, pull off good sustained damage, and self-heal quite well. Not to mention that - between their stealth and high mobility - they can be a pain to catch up to. With a competent player in the driver's seat, they're a nightmare and can do in a 1v1 what no other class can. Their ability to keep a player from turning around while snared/immobilized is just the icing on an overkill cake. I don't mind them being powerful. I just think they need to have a weak spot, like every other class/spec. And they really don't. Personally, I'd take away the self-heals.
  10. I know. But it's just one of those weird quality of life things that could stand adjusting, in my humble opinion. At the very least, to make it consistent with the GSF HUD text.
  11. Is there any way we can get the number counters back on the daily and weekly PvP quests? The whole "Travel to a PvP Instance or Warzone to progress this quest" is sort of a waste of space. I'd like to see the number of battles played come back with the number of wins/total needed. That's a lot more convenient. And it would match the number counter the Galactic Starfighter quests are still using. Happy 4th!
  12. Ah, that makes sense. Appreciate you chiming in; I didn't figure I was the only one to see something off post-patch. And thanks for that explanation, Trixie!
  13. I've been playing since launch, with only a couple of brief hiatuses. This guys was DEFINITELY a sentinel, and we were alone near the crates on the other side of the far door in Void Star. I've NEVER seen anything like it before. At first, I thought maybe the new patch added a cybertech grenade, or maybe a tactical item, or something off-the-wall like that that I missed. It didn't appear to be random lag rubber-banding, but maybe it was. I DO know that he was cloaking in and out WAY more frequently than the Force Camouflage cooldown. I'd say every 15 or 20 seconds. Maybe it was a simple lag switch, I don't know. But it DEFINITELY stood out and there was DEFINITELY a lot of reporting going on. I wish to goodness I'd had some sort of recording software going.
  14. I don't know what happened today, but after the patch warzones have seen some weirdness. I just got Force Pushed by a SENTINEL in lowbie PvP who kept cloaking FAR more frequently than he should have been able to, and avoiding CC FAR more than even Concentration should be able to. Keep an eye out.
