  1. This is true, but, there are much more effective methods now to render foliage that use even less CPU/GPU and look much better. With instancing you are able to render lush vegetation at half the cycle cost of billoards and you don't have to worry about AA problems with the transparency. (one reason it is still not 100% supported b y the game). FSAA with transparency for billboards eats GPU cycles like crazy increasing your footprint by 100% or more. Just saying.
  2. Even before the patch, level 340 nodes only gave white boxes with 500-2000 credits. That was pathetic, i have not tested after the patch but i doubt it will be better. Slicing is dead, no point in doing it anymore. -- We are heading straight for a NGE at this rate, good job BIOWARE! --
  3. like 99% of the forum trolls and fanboys that just insta-rage when they see a topic without even reading and most importantly understanding the OP. It's called selective dyslexia. In most cases however it's simply stupid people unable to read or spell properly, even their own language.
  4. I fail to see any difficulty in this game at all. The PvE is so unbalanced that by just gaining one or two levels mobs that destroyed you before can now hardly touch you. If i get bored i train a group of 20+ mobs 10 levels below me and watch my Sith juggernaught deflect every single shot with his lightsaber. It's hilarious. MAKE IT HARDER!
  5. You accuse me of generalizations. I did not make any generalizations, i made an argument and presented facts to support it. I don't deny you the right to enjoy repeated content but you should not blindly deny the fact that it is repeated content nothing more. Please by all means enjoy the game. PS: Tto the guy who felt the need to post "^^owned". Please grow up and learn how to argue.
  6. Come on, don't play stupid. There is ONE single mission for every character that is unique and even those are just rehashes of the same missions for other jobs. I played this with a friend and saw his unique and intriguing story compared to mine and it was EXACTLY the same, just with different dialog and npc's. Even the areas where exactly the same as in my UNIQUE mission. The only difference was he goes into the right red force field and i go into the left red force field. The rooms we ended up in where absolutely identical. Example: Hutta All 4 classes go to the same Hutt room. All 4 classes go to the same underground beast-master area in the hutt palace. The list just goes on like this forever. The class story missions are not unique at all. Play them and then talk.
  7. You mean the single player Thempark that is called SW:TOR?
  8. Great single player game with co-op missions. Good value for 50 bucks and about 1 month playtime to experience it all. I don't regret it, but i wont be subscribing. Not going to roll a new character and do the same 100000 fetch and click missions again.
  9. So many things... 1. No replay value. Single player game with one interesting story line per class. Not worth a subscription. 2. SHUT UP THE @#%@# ROBOT ALREADY! He says the same thing every 5 seconds. 3. Huge slow downs in certain areas and space missions. No, it's not my PC, i run the game on max with 120 FPS steady, just some maps are bugged. 4. Unfinished content. Mobs that don't fight back (just stand there after attacking). Missing ambient sounds, chit-chat, effects... the list is huge. 5. Same voice actor for all the vendors. In fact same voice actors for most NPC's it's only a handful and it is annoying.
  10. You mean experience ONE new long missions and 99% the same crap missions you did before? Yeah, not going to happen. Once you played this game through it's over, it has zero replay value. It's still a single payer game with some co-op content. That is the reason i wont subscribe at all after my 30 days. Not worth a penny.
  11. I was talking about the future not the rise since the last recession. Of cause you made money since 2008. Hardly an achievement after the big bust. EA is a dead company though. No innovation, same title year after year after year. Bad press and restrictive game licenses (trying to strong arm customers into not selling used products etc.) are killing the company sooner or later. The future are innovative new game concepts and full interactive worlds linked to social networking, essentially becoming a social network themselves.
  12. While it is fine to invest into something you like.believe in, I feel sorry for you loosing all that money you invested. Stocks are dead, recession will crash them soon and people will not have money to spend on an online game. If anything you should buy stocks of agricultural/food companies, everyone will need to eat even in a recession. Some have to learn the hard way i guess. Good luck to you.
  13. It is commonly known that game developers and star wars nerds have never seen the real item naked and therefor have unrealistic expectations and views of the female anatomy. Joking aside, this problem is rampant in all video games, rarely do you see realistic anatomy. Notable exceptions are the Final Fantasy Series and Final Fantasy XI/XIV Online.
  14. Never a good idea to confess to piracy in an official forum of the game company you going to pirate a game of when they have your subscription and credit card details. On the subject at hand, yes the maps are lifeless. An issue many raised in the beta phase. It was, as usual, downplayed by the fans with the infamous argument: "It's only Beta, in final there will be X, Y and Z and it will be glorious".
