  1. Thans for the suggestions. I already did all the content prior to SoR. So ther are only dailys left for me.
  2. I returned to the game yesterday with a 7 day sub after a 15 month break. I got the SoR exoansion because i wanted to play it now and did not care that it will go free in 2.5 months. Since i alreadxy did all the FA missions 15 months ago i did not get any exp for them. And here is where the problem starts. I am now done with Yavin and am only 58.2. I am not not in a guild and i am not using boosts. And beisde 2 bonus quests and repeat dailys i did everything there is to do on both Rishi and Yavin. Now i have to grind dailyes for a couple of days just to contnue the story on Ziost. And since i hate grinding i am already turned off again. What a shame.
  3. I hear so many people say that the dailys are hard. I think the difficulty of the quests and the objectives are in line with everything else. But the zone got such a high mob desity that it takes you close to forever to get where you need to go. Oh and on the imp side the launch keys are a big problem. Just remove like 30% of the trash (give us a way to reach the quest objectives without fighting every few seconds) and let other mobs drop the launch keys. After that the zone is fine.
  4. The area is just plain annoying. It is not challanging. Well you could argie finding a way around the place without grabbing aggro every 5 meters is a challange. But i have to say the heroic quest area is really well done. One of my fav areas in the game. In the end Section X is not worth my time.
  5. Dread Guard Power clicky is better than War Hero static power but you can only use one. As far as i understand Dread Guard proc relics should be better than a War Hero relic. So if you want to go for max dps you should get both a proc and a clicky Dread Guard relic.
  6. Just do all the dailys two or three times and you should have enough or close to enough money to get HK-51 on a second toon. It is rather easy to get money in this game even tho i agree it is not the most entertaining thing in the world.
  7. As a subscriber i think the FTP model is too restricted. Limiting Basic UI Functions is just not the way to go.
  8. We did it with 3 healers and a powertech dps. You can even skip the first boss. Bt i can see people having problems with HK and Revan if they never done them before. The rest of the FP is a cake walk even for new players.
  9. The FTP system of TOR is not my kind of system. If i gonna play a FTP game i will stick to EQ2. There i can actully do all the content all the time as much as i want without having to pay. I might not succeed because my armor is restrichted, but you can unlock gear there for such a small price that you hardly notice it. I can play that game for less than 5$ a month if i watch out what kind of cosmetic stuff i buy. Sure i have to buy expansions like everyone else (first 6 expansions are free) but every new area that gets added to the game in between is free (if i own the expansion that this new area is added to). The limnits are still there and make it not as easy as the subscribers have it but they are not as backbreaking as they are here. If i want to play this game the way it is intended to be played i would have to pay more than the subscrptions fee every months. While i do understand they want to make money. They will not be able to get those people that want to play a little and not pay a subscription. The FTP crowd will most likely play the story and then abandon the game again because you have to pay too much to keep playing. Consmetics, bagspace, xp boosts and character slots is where the money is at. People don't see cosmetics as something that is a cost to play the game. The restriction this game will put on the FTP crowd will turn them away. Just the other day i was talking to some of my friends and told him about the restrictions and he said that he will just play the story and then stop. He will not even spend one cent on this game. Why? Because he realizied it is a massive money grab. This will get TOR an even worse reputation. The FTP crowd is not as stupid as BW and EA might think. And just for the record i will still be subscribed because i like this game. Currently i play for 11€ a month and that is just a little over as much as buying one pass each for FP, OPS, WZ and Space. Let sjust assume you like doing OPS. If you want to raid every week you will have to pay 960 CC. If 100 CC are 1$/€ why should i not subscribe? Now you say thats the point you should subscribe. But that is the flaw in BW's and EA's logic. The FTP crowd will see this as a subscription cost. And if they did not like to pay a subscription back then why do you think they will like to pay one now? Sorry for the rambling but that was what i was thinking about.
  10. Thanks for the vid. Once the shop goes live i will have to investigate if it might be cheaper in the long run to go FTP and buy unlocks.
  11. Question is if this is actully gambling in some countries / regions. I rememebr the cash servers back in EQ2 where they had a mini game diabled since you could buy in game currency with real money and then use that currency to gamble for more. If someone goes on and tells the EU or some states in the US about this they might have to shut the game down. One can only hope BW and EA had their legal guys on this matter.
  12. The simple answer is no. If you don't want to participate in endgame content on a large scale then you do not need to subscribe at all. Once the level cap increases that might change but until then you can do everything that you discribed without a sub.
  13. If it is 5 bucks a week you will see many people just play the story and never touch the game again. With FTP you want to hook someone to spend money on stuff they do not really need. You will not hook someone to a game when you offer them a subscription if they avoided this game because of a sub in the firts place. If it would be a one time unlock people would be more inclined to buy it. You will get the most money on character slots, character transfers, gear and mounts because that is something that even subscribers will pay for and then you got back and cargo space that ftp players will pay for. Another thing that they should do is limiting the money a player can carry. That alone is a huge incentive for some players to get a subscription. Have to say i really like the SOE model for EQ2. It limits my backspace, my money, i have to buy gear and spell unlocks but i can do whatever i want in that game. And as long as i am ready to raid i will have to pay less a month. There is the urge to buy some of the cosmetic stuff but so far i was able to resist most of the time. Well i have to buy the new expansions as well otherwise i would not have access to the new content. http://www.everquest2.com/free?locale=en_US there you can take a look at all the limitations you will find in EQ2. Remember that since Sentinel's Fate 2 more expansions have been released you will have to buy if you want to have access to that content. And the third is about to get released.
