  1. I agree that an app which enables you to send companions on missions, especially considering missions are one way to get gifts for affection/companion missions. I for one only really play my main and L/D characters because I don't have the time to level each toon's companion affection or to do the companion missions. If I could send companions out during the day for gifts and companion mission material, that might encourage me to work on those other toons. I would be fine with reasonable restrictions such as; you can't send out companions on missions if your quest turn in log is full, limiting the number of crew missions you can send out without logging into the game. It would likely benefit Bioware/EA because it would encourage casual players to use their alts more. Additionally, someone suggested allow cartel market purchases through the app. Bioware could include "flash sales" on the market that players can choose to receive notice of through the app.
  2. I just restarted the launcher (without doing any changes) and it is now downloading.
  3. 1st, introduce a new class. I know it will take a lot, and I am not quite sure what the class would be (duel wield blaster/lightsaber?), but a whole new story line would help people play through the original chapters without injuring their thumb pressing spacebar. 2nd, branching stories based on class. Have a main story quest which branches occasionally for specific classes (knight beats someone up, sage helps someone, trooper knocks down the front door, smuggler...smuggles something). This allows to make one main story, but make each play through different for each class. One of my problems with KOTFE is that I can't bring myself to go through the story again and again when there is really no variation.
  4. How about this? The more toons you have unlocked an alliance member with, the easier it is for you to unlock them with another toon? Say a reduced number of turn ins for each toon the alliance member is unlocked on. Along the same lines, the more toons you have maxed influence with on an alliance member, the more influence you get with that member on other toons for each conversation/gift.
  5. I originally thought all alliance rep should be legacy wide, but reading this, it makes sense that it could present a problem for say those who choose not to take a companion or maybe . However, it would be interesting to make it a simple quest instead of a grind if you have already unlocked a companion on another character. Does
  6. I concur. I normally play a lot of alts, but I cancelled my subscription until the next chapter or 2. I can't bring myself to spend the time doing the alliance missions on more than, maybe two of my characters. I can see them being chapter locked so that alliance members can't be used until you have reached the appropriate chapter, but unlocking every companion on alts just drained my enthusiasm for the game. And no, you can't have my stuff. I'll be back.
  7. Instead of having items that you have to equip for companion customization, make each item an unlock, like with titles, and have the unlocked customizations listed in a drop down box, like with titles. Either that or have them listed in a separate inventory section. I would buy and use more customizations, but they just take up space in your inventory/bank.
  8. So with Disney taking over and the new rule, that everything outside of the 6 movies, the Clone Wars, Rebels, and any new books and comics are no longer canon, I'm thinking the Force Awakens might tie into SWTOR. That would connect SWTOR to the new movies and keep it canon. If it is fully removed from canon, it makes me question how long the game will keep going once the new movies are out.
  9. Two theories that I immediately thought of when "Revan" was revealed as the new villian: 1. It is actually the Emperor taking on his identity to achieve his goal . 2. In the finally part of the new story chain, Bioware throws an epic twist and gives you the option to join Revan, creating a 3rd faction, that can only be joined through the story. Honestly, I know the 2nd one is HIGHLY unlikely...the balance involved in that would be difficult. I also feel like you would have a whole bunch of 1-59 Imps and 'Pubs and a whole lot of level 60 Revanites.
  10. I didn't really dislike the ship droids until the other day when I noticed it told my light V jedi sage that he reserved an escape pod for my personal use. Really? I'm not sure who else I would toss, but this is one of the more generally entertaining threads I've read in a while.
  11. I play alts for the story. Once I am finished with the stories, I don't know if I will keep playing.
  12. Combating a Killik expansion only to find out that they were trying to prevent Abeloth's release from the Maw. Fight to delay her release until the Skywalkers come along and mess the whole thing up. Throw in a couple of Joiner Jedi and Sith just for fun.
  13. That, that is where I learned that his tears cure cancer....and he never cries.
